Im sure hes not fit. If souness hadnt been such an idiot todd would have at least played a game in pre-season and had a chance to get fit. And what if Todd wasn't fit to play pre-season? why wouldnt he be? He started training the same day as the rest of them. At the end of the day he was wrong to refuse to play. Souness should of fined him. Not hold a personal grudge against the fans player of the season and refuse to include him in a squad ever again.

Good Morning!! Well ive had time to relect and i have to disagree with what most on here are saying. I agree with most of what is being said about soueys tactics and i think if he doesnt start getting in right soon and were still in the bottom 3 by the end of september he will be gone. Basically a defeat to Portsmouth at home and i dont think he will find any excuses. That will be the final straw. As for last night. We were playing against an amazing team. I thought we did ok. We were missing several key players. I dont have any complaints about the game. In fact for me that game has pleased me alot more than the last 2, sounds stupid i know but its the first time in a while we have looked like a premiership club, and in the 2nd half it was without playing well. Basically its in the mentality, i get anoyed watching rovers because every time we lose the ball i get nervous because we look like a nationwide club and look like we can crumble and concede at anytime in any way possible. Last night i thought we had a strong fighting mentality and playing anyone else apart from arsenal i think the scoreline would have looked better. If we can play with that mentality and keep our key players all season we will do fine. However, that is credit to the players, not souness. I still think he needs to sort it out and he has until 5:45pm on the day we play portsmouth to do this. If we dont get anything from that game, even if we beat united or newcastle he should go. He needs to stop messing around and get it sorted. Find his best 11 and play them where they need to be played. He needs to swallow his pride and drop emerton when thommo is fit. He needs to swallow his pride and drop matteo when amoruso is fit (or play him at the back). He also needs to swallow his pride and stop being such a kid with andy todd as in my opinion he could have done a better job than nissa while amo was injured. The ref lost us the game BUT i am endging closer and closer towards the souness out brigade, if we lose our next 3 games which are going to be difficult then lose to portsmouth on 18th sept i will be gunning for his head on a plate. Im sick of the club revolving around him, he just cares about his own personal pride. Any normal club would just fine players, but he takes it personal and doesnt let them have a sniff. Todd should have had a chance in pre-season and after his performances last season should be in the squad today. Instead we had short and nissa, who arent a premiership partnership. He starts the game with a stupid selection, how can flitty not be good enough for the bench against west brom, but then suddenly warrant a starting place against southampton. Flitty is not good enough to start, if he does start its in his position, not on the right! Matteo should be at the back, not in left midfield. Stupid team selection. Wen the changes were finally made we looked ok, but to me we just look like a first division side, always vulnerable and look like we could crumble and concede any minute. We played against a very poor team today who are far from their best and lost. Id like to kill the referee but there was some terrible defending on our part for their first two goals. Im not in the anti souness brigade (yet) but there has to be changes now! Get nissa off and put matteo there and bring on gresko for the left. Get flitcroft off for neill and put emerton on the right. Tugay and ferguson in themiddle. We need width, we werent too bad for first 30 mins but were creating nothing because we have no width, were giving stead and dwight nothing to work with. Also why play an injured friedel when we have a perfectly good premiership keeper on the bench? If he cant take goal kicks then hes not fit to play, what if he was to make a clearance and hurts his muscle again? Substitution wasted!!!

Now i know it seems silly to moan about highlights after the excellent coverage we got from sky tonight but i taped MOTD at the same time so i could watch the rest. Linekar made a point of saying they will show decent highlights of every team. So i go through the recording and hes right! Everyone getting some good highlights! Even every team getting a view from lawro after the highlights, but hold on, its now 11:55 and rovers still arent on! Here we go, show the goals and about 2 chances, totally miss our early 2nd half pressure showing amos mistake first, then absolutely nothing said from all 3 of them after it! SAME OLD SAME OLD! Well gray and de pedro naturally will be in the starting 11. Gresko played well in midfield last week in bray which explains why he started. Flitcroft!? if hed been starting i would not have been happy. Yes hes been great for the club but imo its time to move on. I dont want him here. I thought 2nd half the formation worked very well.

Just got back to a rather peed off sunny Blackpool (They just got beat 4-0 at home to stockport ) im happy with a point, i expected a 1-1 draw and thats what we got. 2nd half i thought we were excellent, possession must have been 90% rovers. I cant be bothered, i agree with what greggyk has said in his report so i wont bother writing it all again. All i will say is Tugay and Ferguson - excellent, Tugay changed the game. Dickov and Yorke - Excellent, yorke a definate contender for man of the match, better second half. Overall id agree with the peter jackson man of the match and give it to fergie. Gray was good again, amo mainly solid, good goal from short. Matteo im not too sure about yet, de pedro really didnt play well and emerton looked ok at right back, same old problems second half unfortunately. ok im done

we knew that yesterday when he was picked for the squad. Although most likely he will start, its not for sure. Seems a bit harsh to put enckleman on the bench when he has conceded 1 goal in about 9 games.
