  1. Thank god for that!!!!!!!!!! Somebody gets it and talks sense. Thanks greggyk i was beginning to think everyone on here was still living in dreamland, but its only 99% of the board. i quote yellowsub 'its time to unleash MGP'....my god, what are u on, if mgp played today he would have been slaughtered, i could give a bigger battle than he does.
  2. Thommo on for flitcroft now! Flitty is creating nothing and just hoofing the ball away. Matteo seems to be doing well tho!
  3. Im not one for criticising our tactics but FLITCROFT!!!?? Talk about oozing negativity, and matteo...oh god. Please prove me wrong lads.
  4. oh dear. You obviously go to loads of games. Clown! Dickov is our player of the season so far. Has worked 100% in almost every game and has been a credit to the blue and white halves.
  5. Quite a scrappy game so i think it was a good decision to start Tugay. Well done sparky. Of course, theres a long way to go yet. We have to keep concentrating, Fulham will come at us 2nd half, Coleman is gonna rip them to bits in the dressing room.
  6. TEAM NEWS Gallagher starts alongside Dickov Short starts in place of mceverly Johansson moves to left back subs... encks, thommo, MGP, flitcroft, matteo
  7. Ive read most posts on here, i was sat in the JW yesterday as i had a guest so i didnt even know anything happened until i came home. At first like many on here I thought no way, just lazy chants etc I have now seen the footage and it is clear than a Rovers fan was racist, he made monkey gestures and it sickens me, that stupid idiot fan has just got us so much bad PR its untrue. Every away game we go to now is gonna be a nightmare. Even if it is just 2 people i cant believe that has happened at Rovers. Since the racism days of the 80's and early 90's i cant recall any teams supporters being racist. The only racism in the last few years i have heard is from Everton and Liverpool fans, so i just cant believe somone who suposedly 'suports' our team can do that. It doesnt matter how many people it was, this reflects on our club and we will surely be punished as a club. Id expect a hefty fine for the club, people are saying play the next game behind closed doors, doubt that will happen but the FA will punish Rovers and although its not the clubs fault, or any of our fault, we will be punished because of an idiot with 1 brain cell. All the booing of Yorke didnt help, i didnt boo him. Yes he was lazy and didnt contribute as much as he should but this season he really tried hard and loooked sharp until Souness decided to save his own pride. Anyway im not bothered about all that. Bottom line...TV evidence shows a rovers fan WAS racist. Therefore as a club we should and will be punished.
  8. Unlikely but it would be the best feeling in the history of football.
  9. Well done Hughes. He is showing hes not afraid to throw his weight around, dropping matteo and gray, sacking parkes. The club needs freshening up, tony had to go. Thanks for everything Tony!!
  10. Hughsey, your mentality of 'home fans stand so we stand' is stupid. Thats not the problem,i dont mind standing if everyonme behind is standing and i dont mind standing when something exciting happens but when idiot kids stand up and refuse to sit down when a respectable middle aged rovers fan who has been going to away games about 25 years before they were born asks them to, then hurl abuse at him and try and get him ejected is a disgrace. Then when a policeman comes down to sort it out they have the cheek to try and get the man ejected by telling the police 'hes not a real rovers fan' just because hes in plain clothes. Its unbelievable. Then the mindless middle aged guy who might aswell be associated with a 16 year old kid who then shouts at the man aswell accusing him of being a 'spy' from rovers, then says 'do you know who i am' and asks him for a fight outside. I couldnt believe my ears. If you post on here, grow up.
  11. Souness quote from nufc.co.uk.... "Sometimes you get the rub of the green, and Lady Luck shines on you. That wasnt the case for us today." lol. Unbelievebale. What an idiot.
  12. Agree 100% It was an absolute disgrace. Every away game now we have to listen to to**ers just argue about standing up, obviously trying to cause trouble, you are boring little 15 year olds who drink half a can of cider and think you are clever. We dont want you watching our club. There was a young lad and his little mate who were sat infront of me, prob about 15, who stood up constantly then got told to sit down by that lad and refused, he grabbed one by the neck and dragged him down (the lad nearly **** himself, soft *******) then people on the row behind them started having a go at the lad who grabbed him (more burberry idiots trying to impress their girlfriends). Then it nearly kicked off with people infront. Its a disgrace, some of us want to watch the game, rovers need to send someone to awa games in plain clothes and take pictures of these people, then ban them from all rovers games, they arent wanted.
  13. Not gonna make a prediction but my team is... Friedel Neill Short Nissa Mcevely Reid Ferguson Tugay Emerton Dickov Bothroyd subs..encks, pedersen, stead, djorkaef, todd Cant say im looking forward to the 7 1/2 hour train journey
  14. I can never be bothered posting when i get home after the games cause by the time i get back its time for match of the day, then on sundays everyone has said what i wanna say. However, id just like to say... NISSA...i wanna shake your hand. I couldnt believe my eyes. Ive been slating him on here for a few weeks now because he doesnt look confident and seems nervous. But yesterday, if he can perform like that he can have that starting spot all season. I expected short to run the defensive team and carry nissa, but nissa was totally in control and seemed to want to be the boss. Brilliant! Im so pleased. Special mention also to bothroyd who took his chance and how good can he hold up the ball!? Emerton has been excellent since hughes came in and was class yesterday. Reid was good. The whole team played well although Tugay is worrying me. Didnt like the way lucas got caught for the first goal, i saw that happen 20 seconds before it did. And of course jays free kick but that happens. Excellent ROVERS!! PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE keep it up.
  15. Not sure about Hartlepool but all the Blackpool fans i spoke to said he was quality and much better than Douglas.
  16. Have a great feeling about this game....honest. Friedel Neil Short Todd Gray Emerton Ferguson Reid Djorkaef Jansen Stead Subs...Enckleman, Matteo, Pedersen, Tugay, Dickov Blackburn Rovers 1 (Pedersen Pen) Liverpool 4 (Cisse x3, Alonso)
  17. Well, i see everyone had a fun weekend. Thank god i didnt go to chelsea and spent the weekend in glasgow, listened to the game, had to endure lots of stick. The highlight of the weekend was taking my ewood park jinx to Ibrox and watching dundee utd equalise in 89th min against rangers! haha Still havent seen the highlights. Just think back to all the pre-season optimism
  18. Maybe so but Steven Reid is not the answer to the left-side of midfield. Morten-Gamst really does deserve an extended, consistent run in the side. He has done nothing for rovers to 'really deserve an extended, consistent run in the side'. Reid played on the RIGHT and did ok. Morten hasent done anything in the games he has started. I am 100% confident that he will be a huge player for us sooner rather than later but at the moment we need points, we cant afford to just give him starting spots in games unless he deserves it, hopefully he will come on as a sub, do really well, then start the game after and go on from there, but for now he needs a good run in the reserves. De Pedro is infront of morten in the pecking order IMO, he is working hard on trying to get fully fit and has done well for the reserves.
  19. well thats almost 24 hours of calming down time and after a hard day at work ive just browsed the posts and im bringing myself to say...reid was good and IMO any criticism is unfair, must of been very hard for him playing his first competitive match for months in a team with 10 men. Made some bad passes at times but he was nervous and this should stop when he gets more confident.
