Most roads keep leading back to the same place yet some still won't accept Rovers are just a vehicle for a certain set of agents underpinned by Indian sponsors using it for their own non football purposes and a huge wad of debt.

Until it's released from this grasp it'll keep going in ever decreasing circles until there is nothing left to bleed because there is virtually no income.

Denial is a river in Egypt! So frustrating, I agree.

What has he got to do with Tony Mowbray and this thread?

Set up an Agent thread and discuss him there

Tbh, I really couldnt care about Simon Conning. You are obsess about agents. Thats why I think you are football agent or work for a sport agency

    Jal out!!!

All that matters is staying up this season.

Blimey, Chaddy. We should all wake up to the issue of agents and people like Simon Conning.

The low bar setting probably does play a part :)

Some decent signings in (free or not, doesn't matter if they are good) , none of our important  players leaving, deadwood cleared out and new contracts for Mahoney, Lowe and possible Guthrie. All combined with the most solid manager we have had since Allardyce. That is the minimum I expect. Which I would argue is the most positive summer since Venkys took over. Anything extra is a bonus.

I know we have been burned by agents, but I don't think we need to over focus on this. Anderson was a different animal.

Anderson was not operating on his own, was he?. I think we have had an infestation. There were loads of them feeding off the animal they had brought down.

Crucially,I think it would be a big mistake to allow ourselves to be diverted from what is an agent- centric agenda. Expect lots of plant posters to be pushing the new start/all hat was in the past line.

The club is rotten. The summer will tell us plenty....but I think I know what to expect

I'm not sure how performances under Lambert, particularly towards the end of his stint, could have "boded well for the following season"! I was certainly starting to doubt that before he went public about the money issue.

I was amazed we managed to land him that November - what a coup it was, along with Irvine. Unfortunately, there really was very little difference between him and Bowyer in terms of performances and results, and both managers got terminally worse towards the end.

Actually, many performances were very poor. I bought into the idea that he was just doing a patch up job for managing out the season before squad rebuilding in the summer. Cue hysterical laughter..and ambulances

Andy Bayes at radio Lancs swears blind that Jaoa was one Coyle wanted.

"My client asks me to tell you" lol

"Radio Pretend everything is normal! "They closed down the mention of agents and Senior's wife last night. That connection is a matter of record.

Can't help comparing the comments of Sutton to those of Gallacher. And Good on Brett Ormerod with his "patronising Paul"....

Wigan might have gained an advantage over the other teams in relegation scrap with the signings that they made yesterday if they can bed them all in, they signed Grimsby striker Omar Bogle, Rangers goalkeeper Matt Gilks, Eastleigh striker Mikael Mandron, Hartlepool midfielder Josh Laurent and former Rover Jack Byrne.  They also got Gabriel Obertan on a free transfer and tied up loan deals for Alex Bruce and James Weir.

As you say Matty we have won just 6 games out of 27 and not shown any signs of going on a winning streak with the current failure of a manager.  I think we will soon get cut off with Rotherham.  A change in management might give us a chance but have I have very little faith in these idiots making the right appointment even if Coyle was sacked.

Kamy, do you think this is relegation by design?

Everyone else in the relegation zone has changed their manager and are looking to strengthen their squads.

We are keeping our lame duck manager on and looking to offload players to get the wage bill down.

If that isn't deliberate relegation strategy then I don't know what is.

It is deliberate sabotage.......yet people still won't boycott even one game!

  8. It was also largely because all of those people making a mess of the boardroom left.

Warnock would have had us (and Cardiff) mid table if he had been at either club from the start of the season. Cardiff's poor start and league position is no reflection on Warnock at all.

Look at Warnock's record and look at Coyle's over the same period. No contest.

Really not sure what point you are trying to make. You don't like Warnock?

Before the season I drew a conclusion and several months later I see no reason to change my mind.

    Appointing Coyle= Certain Relegation

  9. Late budget cuts by the loons will mean no floodlights just a candle in the wind on Reg's piano and they'll cancel his backing band and loan a couple of young artists in for the night instead !

    Goodbye England's rose;

may you ever grow in our hearts.

You were the grace that placed itself

    where lives were torn apart.

You called out to our country,

and you whispered to those in pain.

    Now you belong to heaven,

and the stars spell out your name........ FFS, Reg....I hope you are embarrassed!

  10. I have seen the interview and have to say that whether I want him or not, he feels under pressure already for whatever reason. When asked questions he takes no time at all to answer, not a breath to consider the question or to consider his answer. He talks on autopilot and relies on buzz words without substance. In addition he rarely makes eye contact with the interviewer. In my personal line of work I interview people daily in order to establish their credibility. If I was interviewing Coyle in this particular instance alarm bells would be ringing.

Also, this messageboard barely works on my phone anymore. Are other people experiencing a persistent lag or am I due for an upgrade?

Interesting.I also noticed the hundred mile an hour babble, answering his own question almost before the interviewer's one was asked. What I don't know is whether this is how he always deals with interviews. But taking this, alongside his amnesia about a certain agency, I am inclined to agree.I would love to interview him, cutting through the meaningless (nervous?)babble to press home a question or two....

Back in 2011-12, when you took time out to condemn the Blackburn fans' treatment of Steve Kean, what agency were you represented by?

Steve Kean, himself, said that you were both represented by SEM. Why do you think he might have been under that impression?

  11. I've always liked the term "benevolent dictatorship" too and FUP certainly isn't benevolent.. This is a great quote as the exact opposite of the clowns in Pune.

Dictators aren't necessarily evil. If you look at the history of the dictatorship in the Roman Republic, for instance, you'll see it was actually considered a necessary post in the time of crisis; all beauracracy was removed in order to allow a strong benevolent leader to get things done: Sulla as an example. The strongest form of government would be a benevolent dictatorship, doing what was right for the good of everyone.

That's my ideal form of football ownership too only surpassed by the very biggest benefactors.

Now if Brutus and Cassius were from Shad.....

  12. One thing is clear - if this current team lines up at the start of next season we will go down - with or without Lambert.

Yep.And I remember another significant occasion where a team that only just survived began the following season significantly weaker.

As if that wasn't bad enough, we then proceeded to let Emerton go, refused to play Salgado etc...Thanks Venky's!

  13. I'm not complacent about these things but you'd get pretty good odds against us going down now. I wonder how the guy that backed us to go down when we sold " he who shall not be named " is going on now ?

Years ago I remember a really strange set of results over the last few games, contriving to send the seemingly safe Tangerines to the third division....

  14. That's the pot calling the kettle sooty arsed, Cundy calling someone a clown!

Absolutely. I won't have him in the house.

However, I am afraid your comments apply to so many of the football pundits.Nicholas and Merson are my pet hates. Jason Roberts OBE (guffaw) descended through a few trap doors after his Quisling comments about Kean and Venky's. As for Savage and Murphy......

  15. Losing twice to burnley is a disastourious season.I reckon we will be far better prepared next season.Paul Lambert is no mug and i think we will see 5 new players next season.

    That is my fervent hope.

Why would they have gone to the trouble to appoint Lambert and co, if they were not going to take BRFC a bit more seriously? Why would Lambert have taken the job, if he had no guarantees?

But then again, why buy a famous club just to destroy it? Why Kean, why Barnet Spiv, why Agnew, why Singh, Why Portugueezers...why, why why, f****ing Delilah?!
