I have slept (and had had many disappointments) since then! But I would guess 2021? I know he expressed disappointment in January 2022, when he said he was blocked from letting Rothwell go to Bournemouth and replacing him with Dembele. I would say the turning down Venky's funding claim was before that. He actually referred to it a few years later, on that podcast with Big Sam. At the time, I thought it sounded like he didn't want the pressure/ expectation, but that is only a guess.

Good. I like to credit the boycott for the impetus

Knowing the division in the fanbase, the "nobody tells me what to do" and " I refuse to follow that "wannabee celebrity" vibes, I was worried that the call to boycott might not have the desired impact. Also, I had the concern that absent season ticket holders would still be included in the attendance figure. However, I felt it was so important to stay away and back the action. I was determined not to do anything to undermine the boycott plan. Sometimes, you just have to take sides and I know what side I am on. Reflecting this morning, I think there has already been some success in actually getting our plight back into the national media. A first step and something to build on. Also, I thought the attendance did look very sparse and I am well aware that the official attendance figure will be debunked to show an actual attendance of 6,500 or so. Stay strong. Ignore the gloaters and the underminers. Someone sent me a text yesterday that made me laugh out loud. It said "4000 Scabs in Blackburn Lancashire!"

There will always be people, who appear in moments like this. They can't be managed. The rest of us just need to hold our nerve and not give it any oxygen. Not sure, who profits by it. Vive La Coalition!

Oh, don't worry. I should have let it go. I know how hard you have all been working and I can see how my own post could have been misinterpreted. I should have taken more care. I really appreciate all your efforts and I'll be willing to help more actively, if/when required.

It's awful, isn't it. My eldest is up from London and we had been planning to go to this game together for ages. My own name will be counted in the attendance, whatever I do. But we have to stay away for this game. We (he and I)just cannot allow ourselves to do anything that could be seen or shown to undermine the action. We agreed that we had to back The Coalition.

I guess I expect much more from our local radio station...I know how hard it is for fans. I guess I was frustrated that Glen Little got so much airtime and what sounded like a PNE fan .. But I do acknowledge my general frustration about Rovers fans either not being heard or actually being dismissed /patronised/undermined..( TalkSport etc)

Very stressful for him...I assume he hasn't done anything criminal etc. Also, I think we could probably get together to raise funds to help him defend his case? We should expect them to target individuals like previous times. Anyway, I think the Gaslight Gobshite has got off very lightly.
