  1. Without evidence? You obviously don't know much about what happened. The referee reported it too.

I don't actually know what you're talking about, but you're actually complaining about some random foul right? Pretty sure some of our fouls got ignored too. And frankly, we get screwed by refs on fouls all the time.

As for that other guy who said our players are girls- do you care to explain what is girly about combatting racism? Some of the bravest people who ever lived were brave precisely for doing that.

I believe the bitter one is complaining about the perfectly good tackle which led a Wisla player to roll around on the floor uncontrollably (yet again) when Nonda played the ball back.

The amusing thing is, if he hadnt been feigning injury (as their players did all night), he would have intercepted the pass!

Anyway, once Benni had the support of the match referee UEFA had to take action, case closed.

  2. This is pretty ridiculous. Our opponents play in red and blue stripes, so we're not going to wear our blue and white home kit, but our almost purely red away kit?! What's wrong with Basel's own away kit? Doesn't that come into play first?

    Yes.

Their home and away kit clash with our home kit (their home being blue and red, and their away being all white). Therefore the only combination which does not clash is their away AND our away.

  3. Oh Gee! Thanks for that info Stu; I just signed up for a 2 month trial this week, and I am in the process of setting up a wireless network for my 3 desktop PC's and a laptop. I had assumed that I would be able to access any of the internet items I presently use on any of the machines on the network.

    Apparently Hainsey can.

In all honesty Id believe someone on here rather than those muppets at PTV. :)

  4. Had to give up as never got near the front of the queue. Thankfully Stuwilky has very kindly offered to get my tickets as he's had to give up on the phone and go down. I reckon it's just so he can perv at this girl they all talk about. Cheers anyway Stu. :tu:

    She wasnt there though.

The guy at the office also told me that they have been having problems with the credit card suppliers (as has my wife at work) numerous transactions are being rejected without authorisation being attempted.

I blame the IT people (most things are their fault anyway)

  5. Incidentally does anyone know what is going on with the ticket office? Have they sacked all the staff? I tried three times yesterday on the phone and again today and have so far never got higher than 10th in the queue and cannot justify the wait whilst i;m at work so still have no Uefa tickets. It's bizarre as i've usually got through immediately unless a big game was ahead. No point the club emailing me with offers galore if I can't get through to take advantage is there?

They appear to have made a mistake with the release of too many matches at the same time.

Chelsea, West Ham, United, UEFA Home, Feyenoord are all on sale.

I waited for 40 mins yesterday before getting to number 2 in the que to be told "the service you require is now unavailable" I swore a bit.

  6. We should just drop ticket prices to £15 for the rest of the season. As Joey says, the revenue loss would probably equate to £1m in transfer funds. A full, or near full stadium every week would more than make up for that though in my opinion.

Sure the season ticket holders will complain, but you're damned if you do and you're damned if you don't. As one myself I'd much rather watch the team play in a full stadium and just accept that not everyone can pay £25-£30 quid a match.

The season ticket holders certainly will complain, I struggled to get together the £960 I gave in cash to BRFC in June.

Im damned if I then find Im paying more. I can live with offers and the like, in fact I fully support them.

But unless I see something drastic for my season ticket I'll be livid if that happened!

  7. Stu- i was in a box 3 down from the fat Bolton tosser in the box (middle of BBurn End) who was consitently banging on the window and winding the rovers fans up. We put a formal complaint into the rovers- they advised us the police have it all on camera and its up to them what they do-

The one I am referring to was in Box 1 - which I understood to be the players box? - I spoke to John Newsham last night and he wants to talk to me today.

Im not happy with this "its up to the police" mentality with corporate fans, just cos they pay their £100+ each match does not give them the right to gesture constantly to home fans. As I (politely) pointed out to the Chief Steward - I wouldnt last long in the stand if I banged on their window. He agreed.
