For those of you there, this little ditty will make you smile......
http://www.yourfilehost.com/media.php?cat=...erFeyenoord.mp3
For those of you who weren't this song was belted out at half time at full tilt, and latched onto by the Rovers fans who sang it all the second half....
....well, we sang, do do do do do do dod (etc etc etc) The Rovers, The Rovers......

Sorry to hear your "trip" ended on a sour note
-
Amsterdam was great, laugh had by all. Plenty Rovers fans wandering the streets after experimenting with some of the local produce - I am led to believe that Gav saw Mrs Wilky and myself "giggling at reception" on Wednesday tea time after an afternoon in a cafe. (They had randomly moved all our stuff into a different room - not what we were expecting, and my head wasnt in a good place).
Im not going to comment much on the farcical arrangements by the Dutch Railway authorities, the police, and worst of all the steward staff at the ground. Me and Mrs Wilky finally got into the ground just after half time after "seeing" the first half at different times being shunted around by stewards, made to stand behind locked gates, being sent upstairs to be told it was full and to go back downstairs.
And that bar-steward steward that shouted at my wife (a rather unassuming 5footer) did well not to get a thump.
A great trip ended on a sour note, which is a shame.
And bobfleming looked like he enjoyed last night when we left our hotel at 6.45am this morning !!

This is Middlesbrough, the same club where the attendance has fallen from an average of about 32k 2 or 3 years ago to 28k or so these days? Despite having a population are of in excess of 300k, with no other top flight teams in the area? And very few other professional teams to boot.

The last time we got a ref's decision bellamy?
-
I can understand that point of view, but Id be very surprised if many people actually knew who was involved in BRISA other than by an internet moniker?
-
English clubs have a terrible record in European Competition over the last few years dont they?!!!
-
My thoughts exactly. I know a couple of them, although a 4-3-3 could be interesting to defend against.
Are we expecting lucas and zurab to return?
Zurab - yes, he was suspended yesterday.
God knows about Neill.....

Can anyone explain to me why this game is on a Sunday? It seems pretty pointless to me. It's my second home match of the season I have to miss due to other commitments. Not a happy bunny.
Sky Television.

I have raised this point with the Stadium Management at Rovers several times.
Unwilling to get involved, unsupportive are some words that spring to mind.
"we will follow the FLA's lead" was the actual response.

I think something has gone a bit weird, young Wez applied on the Wednesday and didnt get a ticket - despite some none season ticket holders applying on the Thursday being allocated them.
Seems a little strange to me.

Anyone back into Birmingham at 10am Friday?
-
Someones nicked 300 seats then, each end was built to seat 8000.
Will be them bloody Mancs!
-
Bottom tier - 5000 : Top tier - 3000
Capacity 7700
-
Just to get an idea of how many fans we are taking, say we end up with a block of 3,000, is this equivalent to half the lower tier of the B'burn end? I don't know the capacity.
The lower tier of the Blackburn/Darwen Ends seat just over 4500, the upper tiers are closer to 3000. Roughly.

I stopped reading after about the 4th para, did I miss anything?
nothing you couldnt have predicted. More of the same drivel.
-
Anybody know if this tie will be shown on the tellybox ??
Someone said it was on Eurosport, but I dont believe them.

What's everyone's tool of choice for the descent in to the hell that is the De Kuip stadion?
I'm taking a 9ft x 4.5 ft sheet of material cunningly disguised as a St. George flag. Obviously I'll be using it to smother any unsuspecting Feyenoord fan that dares to ask me the time.
I'm taking my wife. She's enough to scare even the most hardened thug away.
-
ok but gally is a local lad and should be given a chance
I'm a local lad. I demand a squad number, a starting place and £5k a week please.
And I can tell you that I am most definitely not good enough.
Flawed logic?

I dont think anyone (apart from Vinjay ) would suggest it was John Williams' fault.
boris - John Newsham was the Rovers official who dealt with the arrangements, he is your man to contact.
