i wonder what will happen to the extra payment clauses in matt's transfer from gt.harwood now the club is defunct, the money rovers will no doubt owe them could get the club back on it's feet
They needed a million quid.
Matty's clauses are defunct, like the club.
Sad to say - Rovers couldnt have done anything to save them, shy of giving them Steven Warnock's transfer fee.

Something ELSE Mr Barlow.
I thought Moko was relatively good on Saturday, yes he made mistakes, but find me any single player on that pitch who didn't.

...and a much bigger difference between Dunn's idea of 'fittest ever' and 'Hughes standard fit'
I like the comments Hughes makes on the official site, along the lines of, 'It's the fittest I've ever seen David and we might be able to get him in shape to be involved in a few weeks or so.' i.e. 'Christ, I'd forgotten what a fat pig he is!"
Liking the translation EIT!

The more I think about it, the more annoyed I am that we pay money for the guy and he isn't even anywhere near the shape he needs to be to play. He had to know he was likely going to move somewhere (and likely to us) and should have gotten himself in at least enough shape that he could have played today.
Very unprofessional and I hope this isn't a sign of things to come.
I think there is a difference between "fit", and "Hughes standard fit"
-
Liverpool only offered 30k a week?
there were several stories the week before he went to West Ham suggesting that he was "pricing himself out of a move"
-
Hopefully Nelsen will be back soon.
Otherwise? Tugay? Friedal?
-
Do we know if Dunn is going to get a run out tonight? I only live round the corner from the County Ground so might pop down if he's playing.
Im in the same boat LW, the "squad" is usually posted on the offish site sometime in the Afternoon.
I'll probably go anyway, I usually do - no excuse not to with where I live!
-
Hopefully have a mock up by the next home match Gav, as long as I locate a suitable image - if not Ill wear my Garner one, in the same style.....
Anyone interested in this may wish to PM me with an email address.

Berates the home fans, throws the capataincy back at Hughes and tells him "you didn't want me enough!"
I was under the impression that that comment referred to Liverpool and West Ham, rather than us.
He'd already decided to leave us.

Can we just have a minutes silence in respect for Peter Harrison, Lucas' agent. £60k a week and the option to walk away for nothing if Wham get relegated. Bravo sir.
It is also beneficial to West Ham as well, if they do go down they dont want to be spending next seasons TV income on Lucas Neill.
-
Crikey Stu.
Heads I win, tails you lose.
Are West \Ham quite THAT desperate?
Who knows!
If it is the case it perhaps clarifies why Lucas is giving them a whirl - no lose sitation. If they stay up and he stays for the next Premiership season and they dont fulfil promises of signings etc, he is then into the last year of his contract and may well do what he has done here.
-
...then who's going to be in for him in the summer?
Any prospective clubs will have to pay a substantial fee for him and the better clubs don't exactly seem to have been falling over themselves to sign him in this window when he's virtually free!
It is alledged that he can walk away as a free agent if they go down Rev.
-
Cant see how he would have gained any match fitness over this weekend without playing so I think that pretty much rules him out of the Tuesday Watford game. However, if he plays a reserves game this week, if there is any, then he must be with a good chance to start in the FA Cup.
Ressies playing Wednesday
-
Just confirmed he isnt in today's 16.
-
Its nothing adding to the Sunday Telegraph link earlier.
-
so do you like greedy players who are just after big money
Its quite a leap gaz. But frankly I couldnt care less, I intend to spend my time SUPPORTING the current Rovers players, rather than giving incentive to opposition players to play well.
-
bye bye lucas you greedy b------
i am going to boo you when you come back to play at Ewood
hope you enjoy the championship
He won't, he alledgedly has a release clause if the hammers go down.
Booing him would be fantastic, really acheive something.

Can anyone spot a slight omission in this article?

I really enjoyed white noise 1 (up until the ending really) is this similar or have they totally changed it?
I havnt seen the first one, but I believe its quite similar, but with a bit more, erm, oooompf!!! (without wanting to give anything away!)
-
I know Dunny has his knockers
I thought He had lost some weight
-
Im struggling to find this link folks, can someone oblige please.
-
Have started going to the cinema a bit with mrs wilky (note this doesnt coincide with receiving a pile of vouchers for Vue at the Breezeblock!) went to see White Noise 2 last night, god knows what I was expecting, but it wasnt that!
Having said that it made pretty good viewing.

Not that Im aware of, the problems with Great Harwood are certered around the Showground. It all went to pot after a fire at "Monroes" which decimated their changing rooms meaning they had to fulfil the remainder of their fixtures elsewhere (effectively losing money every time they played).
They couldnt get any support from the FA as they didnt have the required lease on the ground and it would have cost circa £1m to buy the land and build dressing rooms.
