  1. Its about time the Rovers managements stopped the practice of putting away fans in the executive boxes of the lower BBE. Its been going on for a while, and it came perilously close to kicking off in a major way on Saturday. There's nothing worse than being goaded by a load of ######-up corporate free loaders. Get it sorted Mr. Williams.

  2. First goal was not offside as many in the Riverside thought. Second goal was also Ok even though Hughesy didnt like it. Henchoz`s red was debatable; could have been a yellow but ref was correct in terms of the laws.

    Was he?

The law states "prevented a clear goal scoring opportunity"

There is no way at that distance ANYTHING is a clear goal scoring opportunity.

  3. Interestingly,

Given this massive increase in the TV kitty next season wouldnt it be interesting if Rovers announced a new "simple" pricing structure for the season 07/08.

ST renewals JW Upper £300 (£65)

ST renewals Family Stand £200 (£19)

ST renewals other areas £240 (£57)

    New ST's JW Upper £350 (£80)

    New ST's Family Stand £220 (£30)

    New ST's other areas £260 (£40)

    with matchday tickets priced at

    JW Upper £22 (£5)

    Family Stand £13 (£3)

    Other Areas £15 (£4)

    For the sake of argument

Note - no scientific method has been used here just a rough example.

A sustained period of cheap prices to see how many are brought back (or in)

  4. Eh? Scouser from the red half was she? Cos it's them that are mainly responsible for

    1. Fences.

    2. Banning of same.

    3. All seater stadia.

What sentimental tosh...... you sound like the Joe Gladwin voiced over Hovis ad from that era............ "eeeeee rife were grrrrrrand wen i wur a rad and't crogs were rubbin t'skin off me ankles" There's a piccy on that vid of some kid peering through iron bars surrounding the pitch ffs! Who the hell wants them back?

You need to become aware MCM that "the only constant in life is change"

Oh and finally Thatcher went in 1990, the Prem started in 1992 and successive PM's (and bitter political opponents from that time) have since risen to power and had plenty of chance to redress any perceived wrongs which she may have done to the working class heritage. And they've done sweet FA haven't they?

Yer man to blame is Colin Moynihan.

Much as it pains me, I cant blame that woman.

  5. But what i hate about this policy is they always look at how many tickets i purchase, for example i wantd 4 tickets for the Wigan game at home this season but they only sold me 2, i asked the lady please can you give me 4 and still she refused. I told her its not like we're going to sell out? and you'de rather have 2 seats with people on it than 2 empty seat's, but she just would'nt give em me.

There was no ticket restriction in place for the Wigan match. They were on OPEN sale, it didnt matter how many you bought for other matches, or in fact, if you had ever bought for other matches.

  6. The alarm bells were ringing in the LET last night, when Hughes singled out Henchoz as being our key defender ''hench man''. This guy has no pace! How can we rely on him against pacey premiership strike forces?

I can agree with most of the rant SS, but not this bit. Henchoz is a good player, becuase what he lacks up for in pace he usually makes up for in his ability to read the game and anticipate what is coming - very similar to Mr Nelsen.

  7. Don't know where to put this but...

WHAT THE HELL IS THE POINT IN HAVING THAT GIANT CREST BANNER IN THE DARWEN END???

Get it up the Blackburn End and get it passed around before kick off! This would be perfect at the Nancy game, then Blue cards lifted on the JW side of the BBE and white cards on the Riverside side. Bout time we got a little something special for an important european game!

It would look good with 4500 in the BBE Lower.

I've got a funny feeling there will be less than half of that for the Nancy Match - 12k attendance?

  8. The main bulk of Rovers funds comes from the TV rights....not the shop.

They would sell the same amount of merchandise whether you, me or anyone sold the stuff.....The point is that we're cheapening our brand by letting companies like Sports World be associated with us....Jesus, you go into one of them shops and it like a jumble sale....crap everywhere and the staff are particularly useless.

This reflects badly on BRFC. Frankly I find it embarassing that we're in partnership with this type of company.

Whilst I quite agree, I must stress that the staff were useless prior to it being SW, its the same people.

Still disinterested, unhelpful etc etc etc

  9. Are you sure that "BRISA" isn't just a one man campaign spearheaded by you and that your motivation is to achieve what you want to achieve and not the rest of the BRISA commitee??

I personally believe that the club is very well run and that there is no need for the "Fans Forum" or "BRISA".

I think that the public minutes would prove that isnt the case. There are at least 20 people I can think of off the top of my head who have had some involved in getting BRISA off the ground, some of us have fallen by the wayside, and others have become involved along the way.
