  1. Paul, when precisely do you think Christmas is? Half season tickets are for games 11-19 of the season. Season just finished they started with the first game in January - can't remember who it was and can't be bothered looking.
  2. Just don't rate him his positional sense is rather poor.........but hope to be proved wrong while not holding my breath And yes I did go to Eastlands........it's just my opinion I disagree. At City he was all but faultless. The other three times (I think) I've seem himn this term he ahs been excellent. Yes he has made mistakes but as a player who has had a handful of games this season he is the kind of player you'd want. Solidly reliable.
  3. For those of you slating Nissa, did you go to Man City? That is just one example of a player who hadnt played for god knows how long putting in a sterling performace. I for one rate him highly at CB, at Left Back he's out of position and not good, at Centre Back given half a chance he'd be the first name on the team sheet.
  4. The club claimed to have already posted my pack when i rang at the beginning of last week. I actually went to Ewood to buy our season tickets without the packs as the cash was dying to be spent. The pack they claim to have sent still hasnt arrived. Not good really.
  5. With all due respect Hughesy times of kick offs can give some people (myself included) major problems with getting to games. And in part where my reason for not renewing back in 97 or whenever it was. Babysitters are reluctant on Sundays in my family. But anyway, minor detail.
  6. If the attitude of stewards is enough to make you not support your team thats shocking.
  7. Even Clitheroe s/t's are in excess of £100 this term. To watch the woeful Preston North End will set you back £335 (although they do a student discount as well as the Young Adult so us mature students will save a bit) The folks at the cobbled end of the M65 have to pay £369 (discounted, or £420 full price) I know you can go the local farm to watch 11 donkeys cavort on gress but for Burnley S/T's to cost more than ours? Park Stand at Everton is £457. Does this put some perspective on it? Paying more to watch Burnley than Rovers?
  8. Managed to buy all my matchday tickets this way last season, so obviously no season ticket. Sorry.
  9. The club have already announced the matchday prices and the quantity of the Category A and B games next season (no category C anymore) so Stu's quick maths gives us.... 8x Cat 8 @£28 = 224 11 x Cat B @ £24 = 264 TOTAL = £488. So for me (without loyalty discount I bought Season Tickets for me and mrs stuwily as it saves us each £78. or almost £160. plus the saving on programmes this year of £28.50 (did anyone else notice this means they have put programmes upto £3?) So I can even miss a few games (which is likely) and still save money, not to mention saving the £38 in booking fees as it costs £1 per ticket to order macthday tickets over the phone. So, to summarise. Bargain.
  10. Don't worry Rich, the club can't distribute them within a five mile radius of Ewood let alone Ireland. Its done by mail to a database of all those who have purchased a season ticket in any year for as long as they wish to go back. Its nothing to do with location - idiot! Perhaps the comment was an ironic one?
  11. Well just got back from Ewood after having bought my NEW season ticket. So not only am I £825.00 poorer (me and the mrs) but I have the seats I wanted and everything!
  12. Before everyone gets carried away, regarding interest free. There will be a charge for direct debit payment. Ive spoken to the ticket office, and whilst the girl I spoke to didnt have full details regarding direct debit charges, if you check the official site it does state that. I would hazard a guess that there will be a monthly admin fee for any direct debit payments. The girl I spoke to said the payments for a new season ticket holder woould be £41 per month x 10. = £410. She said there was no charge for the direct debit. I have no reason to doubt her, in fact she put me on hold to go and get one of the packs to read the info from.
  13. UPDATE ****** Just spoken to the ticket office. The packs have arrived at Ewood and ALL Renewals will be sent out either tomorrow or Saturday. With anyone on the Mailining List either Saturday or early next week. The direct debit scheme is basically a ten month interest free payment method with the first payment being taken on 1st July. The deadline alan said earlier of the 19th June is correct for seat renewals.
  14. It might be better had the club formally announced what they intended to do and the timescales - why they couldn't do this after safety was assured is beyond me. People worry, they might be going away and not want to miss their renewal so they can keep their seat etc. And by the way I dont consider an article in the LET an "announcement" about season tickets, why cant it be put on the web site if its all been sorted?
  15. How difficult is it to actually go and buy a ticket from the TO prior to the game. The cons of the 'cash on the turnstile' option far outway the very few extra supporters (if any) it might bring.
  16. Given that I'd saved for £450 each I suspect that mrs stuwilky will now allow us to purchase them. Interested in hearing what the direct debit scheme is about. Glenn - any hints?
  17. My personal guess..... The 13.69 a game price quoted in Rovertime will be for the Riverside outer and including the loyalty discount. A slight general rise in season tickets generally copuled with an increase in the loyalty discount. I know ground breaking in my predictions once again
  18. Manc Piccadilly - London Euston 0927 - 1311 Returning 1910 Arrive 2246 £32 - 7 day advance. There is connecting trains to Blackburn but with only 5 minutes until the last one on the way home. there is also connections for those of us from Preston and they are a bit easier. Think thats the one I'll be on if I can convince the wife.........
  19. I jhust hope today is the end of our three defeats on the bounce slump.
  20. Speaks volumes this does.... Southampton fans are paid too much! But seriously, it does make our £410 or whatever seem a bargain.
  21. Presume 7x Cat C, 6x Cat B, 6x Cat A. Cat c = £23, Cat B = £25, Cat C = £28 Total Match Day price = £479. Season Ticket is £415 this time I think.... Minus from the 479 the discounts available from the card - make this 3 lots of 5 stickers savings you sixty quid = saving of £4!! But the above is based on presumptions, I have no idea how many of each Catergory games there is, nor does it include the £1 booking fee for over the phone for each ticket, each game, nor does it include all but guaranteed away tickets, nor the discount on club merchandise.
