Savage...im not judging til hes fit. The old people behind me were slating him the whole half which was wrong, hes had an operation, only just gone back to training and had 12,000 people giving him some pretty bad abuse. Couple of mislaid passes and tackles. Not very involved. Gresko - What can i say....his touch was excellent, his vision was excellent, his delivery was excellent and his movement was excellent. Out for a year!!!? You definately wouldnt think so. Lets hope he can do it in the prem. If he can hes a def starter. the question is answered in your own report, some on here will give savage for ever to get fit, hughes blundered badly buying lily,if we get a million pound bid i would bite the bidder's hand off. -

what i cannot get my head round our poorest gate in the 1st division was in the high 15k,during the kidd reign. now we are in the top league,it looks like we are going to struggle to sell 12k season tickets. ok we have had 2 poor season's in terms off home results, but surely the opposition on show overcome this. from the pre jack days, our hard core fanbase was 7k this swelled to 20k at the height off our sucsess,i was paying over £300 for a season ticket then.now i pay £250 and these areas are not oversubscribed so the price is not a excuse. the club cannot do anymore,it's up to joe public. -

I disagree, and I sit in the Blackburn End. As has been said, the reception he got at that last home game said more than words ever could. 323659[/snapback] i think receptions given at ewood mean very little, the best rover of all time was booed endlessly on his 1st and 2nd return to ewood. -

sorry to see stead go,but we must back hughes on this. poster's are panicking about the lack off signing's,as long as we have 2 new strikers in place at the start off pre-season trianing all will be well. as for bringing back andy [king goal] cole, have you all forgot the last 2 season's he was here.he may have fallen out with sourpuss but surely the way to get one over the manager is to play your heart out ,score goals and get the fans on your side rather than stand on the half way line sulking. -

[Archived] Mark Hughes - Good Choice ?
waggy replied to Ste B's topic in Football Messageboard Archive
the listing off STEAD has certianly stirred a few feathers on this board,i for one being a little puzzled by sparkys decesion, but i was one off the first on here to but his name forward as the new manager. his forrays into the transfer market have been good, nelsen and mokoena being succsess and savage less so. our manager made his name as a centre forward,if he does not rate STEAD that is good enough for me,i am sure he will not do a souness and start the season with DICKOV as our number 1 striker. -

waggy replied to Ste B's topic in Football Messageboard Archive
you have got to hand it too hughes he is not afraid off making big decisions,1st parkes is shown the door and now he put's STEAD on the transfer list,he certianly does not let the grass grow under his feet.
