  1. From fuming to celebrating in 10 secoonds....oh the life as a Rovers-supporter! COYB!!!
  2. The main problem with Mowbray and his "tactics" is that they work well when on the counter as it is really easy: lob to ball over the defenders and hope that prefereably Arma gets on the end of it. When attacking against a set defence there is no movement, nowhere for the midfielders to pass and thus the pass goes sideways or backwards. Everyone on here keeps harping on about the defense, but our movement up top is criminal and static. The one outlet this season has been Brereton who creates space for Arma - on the other side you have Gallagher who is static, slow and no good in the air. I've been silent today trying to find a positive in a game we look to be winning, but all I can see is a team who is regressing and winning because the other side Big Club is absolute pants...
  3. Here's an idea....stop using the donkey Gallagher up front where he does F all and make a CB out of him. Does good defensive work when he gets back. Will have more use of his qualities down there as well. Absolutely every time we get forward it breaks down when the ball gets to Gallagher. Time to get rid or re-position.
  4. Hoping to see Dack get a run-out again tonight. Thought he showed glimpses of what we've been missing with him out and he can only get better. Kinda scary to think that an out-of-form recently-back-from-injury Dack is a waaaaay better option than the donkey that is Sam Gallagher. Wouldn't mind Gallagher starting and playing an absolute blinder if it means someone will take him off our hands in january. Absolutely useless the way he is used in our current setup. Could perhaps work in a 4-4-2 in league 1 or 2. I'm at a stage in my annual christmas Rovers depression where I don't really care anymore - just watching/reading/following out of habit. Perhaps a sound trashing of Hudds could prove a turningpoint, but both head and stomach says no. Thank god for alcohol......
  5. Merry Christmas to all Rovers fans all over the world. It is a beautiful day here in Norway - hope those of you who live in and around Blackburn have as good a celebration as you can. Must say I feel for you over new variants of Covid, Brexit, Boris and....drumroll....Tony!
  6. Feeling strangely optimistic about this one....must be the beer! COYB!
  7. Get in! That felt like a win! Will look worse when I wake up tomorrow thinking about suspensions and injuries and the upcoming games....but still....that felt like a win! And another late goal! Upwards and onwards. COYB!
  8. Give up on the game, go to take a piss and BOOM! 2-2! Happy days and COYB!!
  9. We are sorely missing Big Ben! Could do with someone to hold on to the ball a bit. Still...besides the horrible ref (as always!) I will not bow my head in shame over losing 2-1 here. Listening to these Brentford commentators have been sobering (Cheers!). If it been Rovers being Brentford we would be demanding total domination and 5-1. Onwards and upwards!
  10. Is it just me or does Kaminisky seem a bit off today? Not overly worried, but just got used to him so assured with the ball at his feet. Good game this. Havin a great laugh listening to Brentford commentators. COYB!!!
  11. It's over....thank god for that! 3 more points. Up we go! COYB!!!
  12. I don't like singling out players, but whenever I see Evans in the starting eleven I just know it's going to be a dreary boring match. Everything seems to stop to a halt when we're on the counter and he gets the ball. Don't ask me who should replace from todays lineup, but to win this one we really need Rothwell and Johnson to deliver the goods today. On Rothwell...been reading about loads of people struggling with stamina after a covid infection. Just hope he isn't affected in that way, but I am worried. He was so good before he got sick. Really need him to rediscover that form and pick up the mantle now that Holtby is out. Hoping for win - fearing another boring 0-0.
  13. This game already feels like 2020...depressing and never ending...
  14. Looking at the table and confirms it is grim reading. Top scoring team (18), but only 1 team has conceded more than Rovers. Coventry has coneded 13 while we have conceded 11(!). With a sorted defence that translates to us being at the other end of the table....not hovering 3 points above relegation. Really can't bring myself to see this one out. Being a Blackburn Rovers supporter is truly the highest form of sadomasochism....
  15. Great pressing play to win it high up the field, didn't fall for the temptation to whip it in but abysmal finish from Armstrong....
  16. What a weird time to be alive! I went into this one 100% we would lose after those two brilliant performances. I swear it is written in a book somewhere - win 2 on the trot with magnificent numbers and thou shalt lose the next one to poorer opposition! Still....getting a point at home in a game where I expected us to get zilch still leaves me feeling av bit deflated. Then I take a step back, remember that earlier key players like Lenihan, Travis and Dack are all out injured and things aren't looking quite so bleak. Then take a look at how the other teams are doing in this batshit league and I can't help feeling a bit optimistic. Then it's onto this board and that deflated feeling is back. Weird times indeed and that is without thinking about corona or the state of the world..... My general view of the game: We were never under the kosh and it never felt like we would lose this one. Concede? Probably! Get one back? Definitely! Score a winner? Not in a million years. Just one of those games. It feels like last season we would've lost this one. Onwards and upwards! To bad with the break - just hope we can keep the momentum going. COYB!
  17. Brilliant game! Thank you Tony and the boys for bringing a smile on my face on an otherwise dreary saturday. COYB!
  18. Ben absolutely knackered but has earned his keep today. Thumbs up. The goals will come.
  19. Is it just me or is it fair to say Bell has been okay today?
  20. Benno coming on for Rothwell. Good thing we got that 4th....
