On Damien Johnson: could it be he just enjoys being employed without the threat of being fired if things go poorly? Loves the club despite its millions of faults and don’t want to get binned, have to move, resettle the family etc? If so I hope he stays on as an employee rather than a manager/head coach. He has been here for some time now, but we don’t hear much from him. I know the feeling from my own “work life”.

If he is gone then I am back. To the forum at least! What a horrible appointment this guy was. Joke as a manager/coach and hopeless with the press. Will probably only be remembered for his infamous list of wrong decisions going against us being held up like a petulant little kid. Turned into a meme that will outlive his tenure in football by decades. Good riddance. This next appointment will make or break us. Looking at the chaos around us in the league, with several clubs looking for a new manager, I won’t get my hopes up. Football has gone insane it seems and we seem dead set on being one in the top 3 «Worst club in the EFL». Still hoping it can’t get worse than Ismael, but the again…

It is all down to the owners and the manager. First off Ismael needs to go. Right now. Put Damien Johnson in charge for all I care - can’t get much worse than this. We are becoming the joke of the league with this joker in charge. Something has to change. Fast. But it really is to late isn’t it?

Right now I’d snap your hand off for another dreary 0-0, even a hardfought 1-0 loss will be acceptable, but I’m not getting my hopes up. Despite a slight buzz because we are actually signing players I still fell despondent about the club as a whole. But I’m still sat here, beer in hand, dog at my side because I just can’t stay away. In otherwise difficult times I always hope for a fix from Rovers that might brighten my day a little. So….matchday….COYB!!!

This is gonna be a tough one….

Going by championship logic we should win this being the underdog and all, but lately it seems normal logic has entered the picture. That game against Sheff Wed was a horrendous soulsucking affair and with no reasonably available rotation we will lose this. My one hope is to see Toth back on goal playing an absolute blinder on his comeback earning us a point, but guess it’ll be Pears again. Then again it is the madhouse that is the Championship so better just strap in and hope for an entertaining game and a new years miracle! Happy new year, fellow Roverites!!
