And Charlton beat Watford at home and are top of the league! Good to have this batshit league back. I think this season will be another weird one for all teams included. Guessing we’ll have another season where a team is in playoff around christmas and down by the end of the season. Manager change galore across the league. Another 7th. Guess the loons in Pune are happy now. At the same time Eustace did the business for Derby. They’ll be competing at the top of the table next season while we stay heartbroken. Despite a strong end to the season I’m not convinced by Valerian. I’ll give him benefit of the doubt, but something was sorely lacking today. We had that something under Eustace, but his departure absolutely stopped all momentum we had despite a period of poor results (because of backroom shenanigans). This is on the administration and the owners. This was a bigger chance than under Mowbray. ALL other results went our way. This is down to poor managment at every level. Time to take the dog for a walk, soak myself in alcohol and try to forget this insane rollercoaster of season. My head hurts when trying to sum up the season. Still I 100% appreciate this forum and those battling travelling supporters who make football enjoyable for those of us who can’t attend. You are the true heart and soul of the club, and made of some stuff I can’t comprehend.
