Weird selection after what he said in the interview about our attacking players. Would’ve expected Kargbo to start. Hope Dennis gets a few minutes. Not expecting much to be honest, but then again I thought we were going to lose against West Brom so….COYB!!

That poll in the other thread made me realise we DO live in the worst timeline. Looking at the world in general is though enough. That list made it so much worse. Oh how we have fallen. Ended up voting for Gerrard, but it could have been any of them except Big Sam and Warnock as I don’t see them as realistic. But come on! Not even one (1!) name on that list that makes me go «You know…this could actually work out!». It’s just a picture of the sorry state of football these days. Then again you never know in this business and miracles do happen in football. Most important of all is too keep the players playing for the fans - not fancy new ideas. West Brom game was a thing of beauty in that regard. I’ll try to stay hopeful for the rest of the season, but Venkys & co is making it really, really hard. Just give us a decision before march at least!

What a performance from Gueye. So happy for him and hope there is more to come. Otherwise great performances all over really, and a solid reminder why we were so fed up with Mowbray in the end. Just brilliant!

This business is all about money. The only thing an out of work coach/manager would look at is the paycheck. Why do you think Eustace took the job at Rovers? For some of these guys it’s not about reputation it’s all about money in the bank. FFS…look at our managers before Mowbray. It’s a cash and grab. Not long before the saudis offer a new passport as part of a new deal. Haaland will be Norwegian and Saudi, but prefer to play for Saudi as it is better paid and he can play with Mbappe in the WC. I’ve always enjoyed your overly positive posts for what they are, chaddyrovers, but looking at your reactions last week has me really worried. You are usually the one to find light where there is only darkness….even if it is actually dark. Hope something happens that will bring that over the top positivity back to you, mate. After looking at Wikipedia (yeah I know…) I wouldn’t mind him coming. Might be another one ala Eustace (who I did not want….how wrong I was). He’s done ok as interim manager in clubs not unlike Rovers when it comes to the madhouse factor, so that would imply he’d be able to do some work here. Not necessary head coach for 3 years but in the interim untill summer? Sure. Get him in. Not my first choice, but look at where we are. Can and probably will do worse.

Impossible to say this one. Will the players be poorly motivated and kinda deflated after last days chaos? Or will they for some reason come out roaring to perhaps attract a decent manager? What about the new guys? And who picks the team? Not sure I can conjure up enough mental strenght to watch this one tonight, but going by previous shitshows I’ll probably be glued to the screen again at 8. Prediction? 2-2. A dodgy penalty and an OG puts Rovers ahead. West Brom score 2 at the end and just unlucky not to get 3. Director of the movie in my head: M. Night Shyamalan (what a twist!) - so it’s gonna be ok until you start thinking about it and then it’s to late. You’ve already parted with your money and it turns out everyone was dead all along. What a weird game that was to experience. At first happy to see our new signings performing and then 5 min later find out about Eustace leaving then Wolves scoring. Poof! Absolutely numb and deflated to be honest. Really hope he stays and we can build on some of the performances today.
