How much did you bet? -
Well lets see whats different with last season: No Robert, No Bellamy. Also, O'Brien and Hughes were important players who have played alot of matches for the club over the years and would have given at least excellent cover. Kluivert is gone too. Who have they got: Emre, and Parker. Who replaces Robert and Bellamy/Kluivert? In defence, they need not only 1 defender to play regularly and they need cover, which I dont see. Up front, Shearer isnt the Shearer of old and they would really need 2 strikers probably. I dont think they have a big squad and with the Intertoto coming up, it will be exposed.

Yes. For me Benni was my first choice. I think Benni is a better striker BUT Bellamy might pose less of a risk. The truth is I have never considered Bellamy a STRIKER, but more like a second forward and I dont think we have a high quality first forward. Hopefully, we will sign Benni too. -
I wouldnt be too happy being a Newcastle fan right now. You have sold 2 decent players, alongside 4-5 squad players and have replaced them with only 1 or possibly two good players. Up front they need re-inforcing but who will they sign? I see them as a sinking ship to be honest. Cant see them troubling the top teams, they will be battling with everyone else outside the top 4.

The Lonsdale logo is the ugliest logo in the world.

If Newcastle win their Intertoto tie, then they could face Deportivo in the next round.

We wish. I cant see it happening, at least not for a very very long time, if ever. -
Thats the kind of motivational speech that can get us going.

And do you think demand will "increase" by doing that? We are not talking relatively here, but in reality! -

Utter nonsense Im afraid. You dont demolish a stand, to "create" demand. -

If we have paid about 4 million for Bellamy then it is a great buy. Thats pretty much what the Admin on the main board has implied. In that case, I am pretty sure we might have another 2-3 million left in our kitty, MAYBE! Cause we did sell Stead for 1.8 and we got about 2.5 for Ferguson in January other than the remaining installment we had to pay Rangers for him and I am sure the board must have given Hughes some money other the money he raised from those two sales. -
I would rather a hard team with a the bulldog spirit and a bunch of careless players without the spirit the fans have. We will never be able to accuse people like Bellamy, Dickov, Mokoena, Todd, Nelson, Neill, Matteo, Mokoena, and Savage of not giving it their all ever. Maybe they wont be "good enough" but they will fight till the end and as a fan I cant ask for more.

Souness "Craig only averaged 9 goals a season, and I see Kieron bettering that". Low-blow. Lets hope Bellamy makes him pay in the September clash. -

I had checked the Mirror article and it didnt mention a fee. So where did Alan Nixon mention this exactly? I only see Unleaded reporting it. -

I would be devastated if our gates drop by 5-6k on average. It would be disastrous. What else can the club do? Reduce prices? Where are all the fans going? I understand we have been rubbish the past two seasons, but are our fans really this "faithful" and commited? -

Elsewhere on Tribalfootball, they seem to specify the clause: Craig Bellamy's Blackburn Rovers contract reportedly has a clause saying he can go in a year's time if a club playing in the Champions League comes in with a £6m offer for him. The Telegraph also confirms the same clause. -
I think the Cole we signed was slightly past his peak and Bellamy is still maturing as a player, so in that sense I think at this moment Bellamy is potentially the best striker we have signed for many many years.

The media are calling us Blackeye Rovers, thugs, etc... Different places in the media are saying that there is a get-out clause after 12 months. No one knows the figure or what it entails exactly.
