  1. The news on TIL.no basically says that their representants were met with open arms from Rovers, and that the deal will, if every clauses and stuff is to be paid out, in total be worth 31 millions NKR - around 2,5 million pounds. In that, there is a sell-on percent, and a part where TIL gets more money the better Gamst does his things for Rovers.
  2. Who? Bush or Baldwin? But maaaan, this is great news. 10 bucks on Krislu saying something like "It was just a wild guess, but it worked" anyone ??
  3. TROMSØ IL HAS AGREED TERMS WITH BLACKBURN ROVERS OVER MORTEN GAMST PEDERSEN FEE !!! Only medical (Manchester hospital tomorrow) and personal agreements (will be no problem!) needed for a DONE DEAL !!
  4. I just love your optimism, Krislu, it really rubs off on me ! But can you tell us what your source is?
  5. It could be quite important, the cheeky @#/? Ferguson could throw him a red/white shirt in the entrance hall - now that Sally's gone and all - he needs a new blondie!
  6. It has not ! It basically says the same thing that the ones posted does though, but they've removed the part where Gamst says "I focus on the next game, against Bodø/Glimt and not United."
  7. Ouch, sorry about that ! Well, then there's two guys ahead of Hauge in the 'biggest agent prat' competition - Kjenner and Flod.
  8. Yup, that's right! John "Faxe" Jensen and a few other Arsenal signings if I'm not mistaken - a good friend of George Graham.. He's okay now though, since Carew's agent Gunnar Martin Kjenner has taken his place as Norway's number one agent prat. (last seen yelling "Pah Modou Kah [former Vålerenga talent] is Real Madrid bound", after getting a yellow post-it note on his desk saying that someone from Spain had called him) Skysports reports of Coridon joining, I wonder how that will affect the Gamst deal? EDIT: Oh, and another interesting question - will Rovers bother to call Tromsø to tell them the deal is off (if it IS off) or will they make them fly to London and just tell them out the window when they ring the doorbell?
  9. No, but as mentioned in the transfer thread, Willie Mackay is mentioned in every linkup Rovers gets, so I just figured it's some sort of codename for agents in general Far more interesting is this article which claims that two Tromsø representants will meet up with JW and co in London tomorrow, to try to finish it up. If they manage to do that, MGP and Rune Hauge will fly to England on Thursday to discuss the personal terms. It also says in the article that MGP must agree terms with Rovers by 12 a clock Friday to be ready for United action. Gamst Pedersen is currently at Svalbard with the rest of the team: "I've got my passport with me, it won't be a problem for me if things happen quickly. Of course it would've been great to make my debut against United this weekend, but I'm not there yet. I am a Tromsø-player and will focus on Bodø/Glimt as my next opponent until anything happens. I don't bother nagging, I trust that the board has got everything under control. Sometimes things happen fast, sometimes things takes more time", Gamst Pedersen adds to BT. Seems like he's quite optimistic about this, which is a good thing.. EDIT: Very interesting subheadline btw: Tromsø has decided to meet Blackburn in London on Wednesday, in a hope to secure the transfer of Morten Gamst Pedersen. OK, if Tromsø wants to sell, Blackburn wants to buy and Gamst Pedersen wants to go - what the kcuf is the problem?
  10. I think the personal terms have been agreed already, actually, it's just the matter of an agreement between the two clubs. For those of us who can read Norwegian, here's the article where his agent Rune Hauge (AKA Willie Mackay) is the source according to VG - who also says that it's a 4-year contract.
  11. Fantastic stuff again AESF, tell me are all your 1000 posts like that? Not sure whether this have been mentioned, but Vieira, Campbell and Edu are still unfit and will therefore not play us. Is Pascal Cygan a possible matchwinner for us? Like Bramble for Newcastle, Silvestre for United and Ian Walker for any team that'll want him? I can just picture it, Arsenal are put under pressure while passing between themselves in the back four, and just as Cygan gets the ball, Dickov is there with a angry look on his face. Cygan tries to cross it to Lauren, but Stead gets to it and has only Jens Psycho Lehmann to beat. Not really that glad about Vieira not playing, seems like Cesc Fabregas isn't exactly the weak link either. The only way we can beat them is by doing some crunching tackles early in the game and take them physically. Too bad Barry is suspended! See that van Persie is also added to the provisional squad to face us, that's bad news. He's been brilliant in the friendlies and I can picture that headline aswell - "Dream debut for van Persie as Souness fumes over penalty decisions" Who's the ref anyway, and what has this one got against us ?
  12. It probably is a good deal to bring MGP to Ewood, since he and De Pedro will both have to adapt to Prem - and De Pedro isn't fit enough yet either if I understand Souey correctly. Maybe they can help eachother, De Pedro can lift some weight off MGP's shoulders and vice versa ? VG reports that Rovers and Tromsø will meet up in England on Thursday btw.. EDIT: ...but I can see that you've already mentioned it, Maverick, so I guess I'll just add that VG also says that Blackburn wants him ready for the United match.
  13. It's Tromsø, Philly, not Real Madrid or Milan. I honestly don't believe that Tromsø is that clever/cynical, I think both parts work hard to make this happen, and I think it will eventually. The only two possible outcomes are 1) Rovers sign MGP and 2) Some other club snatch him - IMO. And outcome nr 2 is not Tromsø's plan, I'm actually pretty sure about it.. EDIT: Nice way of putting it, American, now you can say "Ah, I told you so!" if El Morocco signs, and you won't get ###### on by the other boardmembers if we sign MGP and El Morocco stays in Holland.
  14. I'm also pretty (!) sure he won't need a WP ! We're not that far away ffs!! Let's hope they can wrap this up tomorrow then, would've been a good news for the Ferguson-lacking, how-many-yards-must-Short-fall-off-to-keep-up-with-Arsenal's-pace-match on Wednesday! Any news on Amo btw? Is he injured, will he play?
  15. Does anyone know when Gamst can play matches for Blackburn if he e.g signs tomorrow?
  16. Erm.. not new to us I'm afraid, Maverick, check out page six..
  17. FFS !! No way, I don't believe it ! I hope and think she's just reporting from what the news was earlier today, remember - the news from www.til.no hasn't been translated and officially reported by SkySports yet !
  18. This sounds promising !! According to Markussen, both sides has discussed terms in a positive and constructive way, and both parts seems to want this. "There is still a few parts where we disagree, but not more than that the disagreements can be worked out if the will and effort is there. We will try to make this happen!" EDIT: Sorry, Lee, can't see it, I guess it's just you..
  19. Huh, I'll say Krislu.. I just can't understand how you can be so sure, since Tromsø themselves aren't sure.. I know Gamst seems keen, but really- Rovers DID say no to El Morocco because they couldn't change the payment plans...
  20. I think he's quality, I'd love to see him join us. Has struggled with his consistancy in Norway, but has played very well for Norway and has been instrumental in Tromsø's slightly surprising 2nd place in Norwegian Tippeliga. He's destined to succeed IMO, and he'll fit right in in the Prem - he's not the lightweight winger who'll be destroyed in his first games, he's quite strong and physical for a winger, which will help him in the Premiership. EDIT: Disappointed to see that, Bob, I was hoping for an increased bid..
  21. Fair enough, Bob, even though your post COULD become the victim of some people's love for sarcasm - I'm right when I say that Blackburn is still in for Gamst and will talk further with Tromsø?
  22. DEN: What's important is what JW definately said, not what the radio reporter said! I see that BBC etc. concludes that we no longer will try to sign Gamst, but they're only source seems to be Rovers official site - which as mentioned does not confirm anything else than that the last bid was rejected and JW thinks Tromsø wants too much for him. But if you heard JW say "we won't pursue our interest" then fair enough.. Bob: What sources do you have?
