  1. Could it? I got your point, Eddie, but it's that journalist, Jostein Jensen, who is at fault for those weird comments MGP allegedly makes constantly.. The man can't translate things in the correct way...
  2. Yeah, Yorke is a fantastic player. If they play poorly because they don't like the manager then it's their bloody problem. Unprofessional gits.. I would love to see Dunnie come back though, when Brum is relegated in the end of the season. OR when Bruce get's tired of Dunnies injuries. "Finally, now I can be a Blackburn-fan again"
  3. Stop complaining, we're coming over for the Birmingham game, to a price of 240 pounds. And that's without alcohol money!
  4. Ankle injury, suffered against United. Read somewhere that Edu might want a move away from Arsenal, would've been a great signing for Rovers. Creative player with a great left foot... but he's probably out of our reach, I'm sure there's a lot of clubs after him, and he'll probably cost more than we can afford!
  5. Great, Sir Woodward for managers position within three weeks then eh?
  6. I'm sorry, is there a late kickoff in this match? 19 or something? Rovers.co.uk says it's at 15, but Norwegian television will show the whole match at 7....... EDIT: Nevermind, it starts at 15.. guess I'll have to stay away from internet then, until the game starts on TV...
  7. That's true, but I still think Jansen did ok yesterday.
  8. Hell yeah!! Let's sell ALL of our players, and get in fifteen free transfers in January !! What a load of ######..
  9. Seems like a fair try this, Djorkaeff was very influential for Bolton last season and has got great techniqual abilities and is a good passer of the ball- which we need. But isn't he more of a forward than a midfielder? Btw, interesting to see his agent again, good old Willie McKay !
  10. Not sure what to think about a sale, I guess if you're lucky and get someone who's genuinely interested in football and even more important - in Blackburn Rovers - it would be a good move, with fresh finance and the same family club. But then again, we could end up with some crazy businessman who only wants to see how far he can take it with maximum spending power. It's kinda strange, but I'd rather see us struggling in 15th place with the Trust Fund than fighting for the Prem title with a team/management/club like Chelsea at the moment..
  11. We could hire a few coaches to do the training sessions and so on, and then we could discuss the lineups here at this forum... SO, who wants Friedel in goal for Sat? I've got the final word, but you can all state your opinions and I'll se what I can do !
  12. Couldn't agree more, it really should be a b-i-t-c-h-filter on here..
  13. I believed Wendy used the expression 'Kamikaze defending' on John Spicer's goal, but they weren't sure whether to blame Lucas for bursting forward and leaving a gap or saluting his attempt. Oh well, isn't there also something called the Fack cup or something?...
  14. I thought all of us agreed on Souness being a racist? Now that he's gone... No, in all seriousness, even though I've been at Ewood only once - even I noticed the large Asian community in Blackburn. This is a large opportunity for Blackburn to get more people to the games, and I hope the club has plans for how to involve them. (sorry for the 'us and them' thing - but this whole thread is like that...)
  15. Gally's been injured, has had a thigh strain if I recall correctly. Was in the squad for the Pompey-game, but didn't make the 16 - considering we had Encks, Amoruso, Bothroyd, Tugay and Jansen there it wasn't really that hard to see why. If Jansen keeps improving (ok, starts improving) and fights for a place - maybe a months loan to another club would do him good? That is, if Stead, Bothroyd, Jansen and Dickov all play well and is fit. I know this seems a bit in the blue, but it's just a thought - I don't really think all those four strikers will hit it off that well anyway..
  16. D-M-F: If you are such a big fan of Muse, you have to listen more to Radiohead - they're the pioneers in that category, well in every category really.. I'm sure you'll love the OK Computer album, or even The Bends. It's just a matter of spending some time with the cd on, unlike Linkin Park and other boyband-with-tattoo-I-love-Nick-Carter-but-don't-want-to-admit-to-it- albums... Other bands I enjoy: Dave Matthews Band (especially the live album Live at Luther College - with Tim Reynolds) - extraordinary guitarist! Nirvana - (Kurt Cobain alone is worth buying the cd, when you put in Dave Grohl [drummer, Nirvana - guitarist and vocal, QOTSA and a bunch of other great bands] aswell... revolutionised their genre in early 90's) The Streets lately actually, some good lyrics and catchy melodies (after a while anyway). Jimi Hendrix - will never be forgotten ! Jim Morrison/The Doors - ditto! BigBang - Norwegian rock band, if you've got a good download source then search for them! Also check out Kaizers Orchestra (recently played in Reading methinks) who's a very interesting band - and bloody amazing live. You won't understand a word they're singing I'm sure, but it's worth it anyway! Man am I tired...
  17. It IS a fact ! I like the bench, good players in all positions - only a couple of extra places for De Pedro and Gally is missing IMO..
  18. "Hughes was never my rolemodel" - the headline doesn't really look good now does it? Well, it's not as bad as it looks - he was just answering a direct question on that issue, and on his relationship to Manure. "I was never a big Manure-fan, and Mark Hughes was never a rolemodel. It was all about Marco van Basten for me!" According to Gamst, the whole Manure-thing is a media created thing - "I have never had a United kit"... Gamst also says that he starts to feel more relaxed at Rovers, and things is going better and better every day. "I didn't exactly yell for the ball on my first day here, but now I can do that. Training is more intense here, and I just have to keep up. Things are going fine, I've scored a few goals in training and shown what I can do." That's right, it's in Norwegian
  19. I'm sure he means the o2-level (oxygen), he's a tireless midfielder..
  20. Is this the guy with Pompey tattoo's all over his body? (considered quoting the whole post there for a while, but I guess the mods wouldn't be too impressed )
  21. I tend to agree with TP actually, we don't have a lot of money anymore - so a young manager with enthusiasm could do the trick. I don't believe we NEED strenghtening of our current squad, perhaps except a young defender or a central midfielder. If we can get someone who's not afraid of using our youngsters (McEveley for centre back please!) I'd be delighted. Doesn't Mark Hughes use a lot of young players for Wales? Earnshaw, Gabbidon etc...? Or is it just me trying to find a glimmer of hope after a terrible match?
  22. Typically, the one time there's REALLY some excitement around the first XI - there's no official news about it. Lee? Anyone picked up who's starting? (no "I-think-this-line-up", I want a CONFIRMED eleven!) EDIT: FRIEDEL- NEILL,MATTEO,SHORT,GRAY- EMERTON,FERGUSON,FLITCROFT,GAMST PEDERSEN- STEAD,DICKOV Subs: Jansen, Bothroyd, Enckelman, Douglas, Tugay Good one, Tony - thanks !
  23. Jan: Newcastle sign Huddersfield striker - "delighted to see new Stead at Newcastle", Souness declares. July: "He's a proper person, but Lady Luck has not helped him much this year." You really shouldn't, Graeme, you were lucky with Stead, don't push it!
  24. Well, Gally has appearantly got a thigh strain or something, Thompson is still a bit shaky after the tackle-from-behind-but-no-yellow-card from that lousy Brazilian brat against United - a minor ankle injury, not knee mind you. btw, BOTHROYD, not boothroyd..
