  1. You're a real lifesaver, 6.... Where has MickeysNo1Stalker gone anyway? Haven't seen him much this season..
  2. Hughes hopeful over Matteo ...you're the only one, Sparky!
  3. Agree with roversismylife, I don't think we'll see any changes in our team for Norwich.
  4. Gashi has got loads of potential.. but he lacks a lot when it comes to stability and some tactical training is still needed.. He'll need a year or two more in Vålerenga before he can move on, to a foreign club. The same goes for Daniel Fredheim Holm, arguably one of the brightest talents in Norway nowadays. But lay off, they're VIF property anyway!
  5. Andresen did actually get relegated yesterday, as Stabæk failed to beat title chasers Vålerenga ( ) and ended second last. His future is unknown, he might just sign on for Vålerenga (who won 3-0 yesterday and ended up 2nd because Rosenborg has scored more goals - they both have +28 in total ) but he will also consider staying in Stabæk according to the Norwegian media.
  6. I don't know what connections you have, I just have the feeling that whatever anyone says, you'll be supporting Gamst 100%. Remember, it's the CLUB we support, not Gamst, and we're not going to sell Gamst just to be sure he'll get enough matches this season. I really couldn't care less tbh, we're sure as hell not going to take Reid and Emerton out of the starting XI now.. Gamst has the potential, and he'll make it if he keeps on working, that's how I see it.
  7. I'm sorry Cuidado, but there hasn't been any reports of Gamst doing well in training.. hasn't been reports at all for weeks, feel free to prove me wrong !
  8. Great preview, AESF, as always. Let's hope we can stop their attacking trio, and in particular Huckerby and Bentley - and if we can be as creative against the Canaries as we were against Liverpool, we can really get a good result here. And as AESF says, this match is massive !
  9. It sounds all too cynical to me.. If it was true, I'm sure Gamst would argue that Tromsø deserves money for bringing him through.. We do have quite a lot of players in our squad at the moment, and especially attacking players - it's quite hard to get on the bench actually. We DO need a defender there, a goalkeeper, and that leaves us with three free slots - and players like Stead, Djorkaeff, Gallagher, Jansen, Flitcroft, De Pedro, Gamst to fight for them...
  10. I guess Cuidado knows more about this, but my impression of Gamst is that he's a confident player and person, and I hope he'll just push on and work hard. Hopefully, Hughes will have a better record with man management than Souness, the worst thing that could happen is that Gamst is "forgotten" and just ignored.. (like e.g Østenstad)
  11. If the reports are correct, Gamst is very patient and is willing to work hard for a place. There is no doubt in my mind that he will make it, if he just keeps on working like e.g Solskjær has done for United. Because the talent is undoubtably there..
  12. That's the worst load of bull I've read since.. hm.. well, it was another post a few weeks ago.. Thommo is just doing EXACTLY what he should've done last year. He got a serious knee injury, came back a bit too soon and played quite a few matches followed by swelling and needed injections to make it through matches. This is bound to go to hell in the end, and when he finally came back after his op this season - he was unlucky and picked up a solid knock after a silly challenge from Kleberson. Let the man get 100 percent fit before sending him on again, or else we'll have another Thommo-free season.
  13. Exactly.. the man needs some support, just like the strikers need support - Dickov and Djorkaeff can't do it all on their own, especially not with their backs faced the wrong direction. Put in Reid or obviously a fit and ready Thommo by his side, and make Emerton and Gamst push forward from each flank, then we can create something in attack. Screw defending, we can't figure out how to anyway..
  14. Sell Tugay, then we can free up at least three new shirts !
  15. You beat me to it, what a load of rubbish. "He's crap at football" sums up your post quite nicely methinks.. He's our best player, our most consistant performer and our leader, who the hell would you give the armsband to? Oh, I forgot Flitty, he's been really ace hasn't he? EDIT: What we need is more players like Ferguson, he's our only player with a teeny bit of class, perhaps along with Emerton.. but maybe we should sell Ferguson, at least we would get a team with eleven even players, no one that stands out!
  16. What the hell are you slating Ferguson for, I wonder..
  17. This thread is really helping, after two thrashings in a row..
  18. Sounds odd, but if true - do they name him as sub to not alarm anyone, perhaps even Gamst himself? This is getting worse than the "Referees - The Great Plot" thing..
  19. I am Norwegian, but I wouldn't say that I was a member of the group you refer to, Ricky.. However, I find it odd that when 4-0 down, we put on NISSA for Michael Gray, instead of Gamst, who as most of you have said the last weeks, need more time and obviously a few matches! All I want is to see Rovers do well, even though Emerton and Reid wasn't the main problem today, I don't see why he doesn't just give Gamst a few minutes, just to let him get used to it some more. He doesn't play for the Reserves either, so Hughes obviously thinks he's one of those who are fighting to get in our XI at the moment.
  20. Fair enough, Bob, I agree with you on that one.. I actually feel that we have to many players at the moment, who are good but not great. It's hard for players like Gamst and De Pedro to get into the 16 man squad at the moment.. EDIT: Radagast, I was actually thinking "okay, I should edit that" but then I figured no one would bother..
  21. Seems like you put things in R6's mouth, I must say.. It must be allowed to be disappointed with his choices.. Would like to see Gamst get some games soon, and even though he COULD have a hard match against Chelsea I'm quite sure he'll take the positives more than the negatives. He does not seem like a player lacking confidence, and some games will do him good regardless of our opponent.
  22. Think it's you.. Gally is a talented youngster, most definitely one for the future!
  23. Ferguson has not been poor, correct Cuidado. Neither has Neill and Dickov.. Good point, Tcj_Jones, don't think Ferreira has been very impressing though..
