  1. Reid has declared himself guilty.. but when his suspension will take place, I don't know... Dickov out aswell? Stead and Gally, perhaps? ...desperate for some change at the moment!
  2. Frightening, Mum... that was a direct question, I hope? "They are still very much Rovers players"... sounds like someone's leaving in January... would've been a terrible move obviously, to offload a young bright talent like MGP... but if it's one thing I've learned as a Rovers supporter - you just never know!
  3. It's either MGP, De Pedro, Douglas or a freak formation with Matteo or a similar donkey playing in midfield. Is both Reid and Thommo suspended for next week?
  4. Friedel- Neill, Short, Todd, Matteo- Reid, Flitty, Ferguson, Emerton- Dickov, Bothroyd Subs: Stead, Johansson, Thompson, Gallagher, Enckelman No Gamst and no Thommo in the XI.. And for christ sake, MATTEO!
  5. Their three attacking players, (Kolkka, Johnson, Routledge) will ridicule our defence, if we give them any space. They also have a great talent in young Ben Watson, and their goalkeeper is solid. But, we should be able to trouble their defence. I don't think we'll be able to keep a clean sheet, but I do think we'll score two goals or more today! Palace 1, Rovers 2. Ferguson 29' Gamst Pedersen 79' Johnson 84'
  6. May be, 6, but when Parkes controlled the reserves (also under Hughes) players like Gresko played regularly..
  7. Difference is, Gally has come through the academy all the way, and it's also after the new reserves boss Hodges came in, that the fringe players has been excluded from the reserves.
  8. See Lee's posts here, Cuidado Might explain why he doesn't get reserve matches. It's probably right, since there's plenty more fringe players from the senior team who should be getting games with the reserves..
  9. I agree, he's probably a better footballer than most of our players. (some exeptions) Doesn't help much though, before he can get his act together and toughen up a bit, being brushed off too easily is one thing you just can't afford in a relegation battle.
  10. I f***ing hate Spurs. Same team as last Sat, but with Bothroyd on the bench instead of Gamst Pedersen.
  11. That's true, Radagast.. but it works both ways IMO, we've lost 4-0 on three occasions, he could have had some minutes then aswell. But let's just see what happens, Reid will probably be suspended for a few games.. my point is really, if we get more matches like the one against Fulham, I hope Sparky gives Gamst some playing time.
  12. It's the same meeting, but the fantastic reporters in VG get more and more information from the meeting each day... I have to make it perfectly clear that I am NOT crying for Gamst in the starting XI. I just want to see him get a few minutes here and there, when we are a few goals up and things are going well. I'm sure there's a reason why he IS on the bench, there's no doubt he is talented and there's no doubt he is to lightweight at the moment. However, with a few games under his belt, he might understand how much he has to give in every duel to make it.
  13. That's utter rubbish, Bryan. First of all, you're reacting towards me as if I was Cuidado... Secondly, Gamst isn't a Prem player just yet, but he's not bloody awful. So stop whingeing about impossible scenarioes. Third, "we're not in a position to give anyone who's clearly very talented a bit of time" ? We're two nil up, against a poor Fulham side with ten men. It's ten minutes left, and we're probably closer to three than Fulham are to one, not to mention two. The crying to the bank part could be right though, his father is quoted in a Norwegian newspaper saying something like "if he feels sorry for himself not playing, he can check his bank account". EDIT: Oh yeah, forgot to mention that we brought on solid Matteo..
  14. Yeah.. but it's not just about judging him, it's also about giving him the opportunity to get used to the tempo and physical level.
  15. Because he clearly lacks Premiership experience, and he's clearly very talented. And he's our big signing, if anyone can be called that..
  16. MGP, is okay. FJDP, is taking it a bit far. Let's stick to De Pedro, shall we?
  17. Agree, Tugay's done great.. Ferguson disappointing in the 1st half, not easy to be the distributor when our wingers cut in like they've done. Would love to see Thommo come on, but I don't see it happening just yet, since we've been solid. Fulham horribly bad, the Senegalese in centre midfield has been absolutely rubbish.
  18. Frosty: Gamst could probably do a job up front in Tromsø, but before he has established himself as a good leftwinger in Prem, he will not be something to put up front IMO. Maverick: Correct, if this is true.. My guess is that Thommo isn't fit enough for 90 minutes just yet- and that Sparky wants to have some firepower on the bench.
  19. Wtf... no strikers on the bench? I guess that means Stead didn't make it in time then? Sorry to see young McEveley totally out of the team, kinda hope it's through injury..
  20. According to the official site, Vratti is injured.
  21. I think he'll do okay, especially when having Steven Reid on his right side to run, tackle and take on people both in defence and in attack - like he did 2nd half last week.
  22. Oh, okay.. I thought he was still talking about the Brum game, since there's a few Dunn-lovers on this board.. I agree though, after the goals Shearer scored for us, he doesn't deserve being booed.
  23. I do hope you're talking about Dunnie, and not Yorke? IMO, Dunn was treated allright, he got a deserved standing ovation when he left the pitch..
