  1. D'Urso Clattenburg seems like a good ref, and he hasn't been reffing us under Souness either. (which obviously is a good thing)
  2. Glad to get Arsenal, not United- a scrap win against Arsenal looks far more likely than against United nowadays, IMO. United will get to the final, I don't know why I'm so sure about that, but I do think they're looking good at the moment. We've beaten Arsenal before, and we can do it again.
  3. Arsenal it is!
  4. Are you saying there is a connection? Roll on with conspiracy theories!
  5. Under general Franco's rule, his soldiers entered the Barcelona dressing room before the match against Real Madrid.. they lost 6-0. (correct me if I'm wrong, just got reminded of this story while reading your post FLB)
  6. Ohh come on, Blunderer, it wasn't Stan's fault at all. Take off those blue/white glasses for a second will you? It was of course Burnley's fault.
  7. I think Flitty was a good sub against Burnley, we needed a player like him when Savage got injured.. he's played in this derby before, and he's a battler. Was relieved to see him come on, was afraid we had to play the rest of the game with Tugay/Thompson.. but for next game - if Savage's fit - get Thommo back in on the bench. Plus, I want Stead alongside Dickov, I'm positive he'll create more than Gally, and we might also see a goal from him soon. I really have faith in the Stead/Dickov partnership. Obviously keep Matteo off the teamsheet, keep him off the bloody senior squad for all I care. Painfully mediocre leftback defensively, painfully awful distribution offensively. Then there's the right wing spot, I would prefer to see Reid replace Emerton (bench!) for next match. Emerton has showed poor form recently, and Reidy is a solid player. A natural choice if Thommo's injured.. This would mean this team: Friedel- Neill, Nelsen, Todd, Johansson- Reid, Savage, Tugay, Gamst Pedersen- Dickov, Stead Subs: Emerton Thompson (if fit, if not then put in Flitty!) Gallagher (good sub, Jansen if fit..) Short Enckelman EDIT: Oh, and a prediction? 1-1, MGP and Cahill.
  8. Neither can Martin Andresen, Lathund.. That's not because he's ace, btw..
  9. Fantastic goal by Gamst, via Nielsen's hands and into the roof of the net from a tight angle. Should've scored a minute later, but Emerton chose to shoot instead of playing the ball in.. Too much buffering for making a man-of-the-match choice for me though. Game over ! We're through!
  10. Nelsen is captain.. decent goal by Burnley, neither team looked particularly threatening really.. Blackburn overall the best team though. Annoying to see Stead totally out of the team, but Gally's done quite well so far. Terrible crossing by Rovers..
  11. SportingStreams Also check "Other streams" forum on here, you can find a link for ESPN there methinks..
  12. Which country then? Requested this stream at sportingsreams.com, waiting for response there.. Response received - they do have a link for ESPN Asia on their site - if they air it, I will be able to see it. Keep the blue flag, flying high..
  13. Neill, Nelsen, Johansson, McEveley or Neill, Short, Nelsen, Johansson yes please?
  14. My thoughts exactly, 1864..
  15. Hard to tell, we're a lot better defensively and has a better midfield now, but the loss of Andy Cole and obviously Stead struggling has made us less of a threat in offense. Out: Cole Ferguson In: Dickov Savage Gamst Pedersen Nelsen Overall, we do look better, but we lack that extra quality in the last third.. I do believe that Cole is good enough to create some chances for himself btw, Philipl, he would've made things easier for the other players..
  16. That'll have to be your opinion, can't say I know enough about Leicester anno 2005 to discuss a statement like that.. Doubt you've got our quality though..
  17. I'm sure you do truefox, and quite rightly so. I'm sure most of the teams are just glad to escape Manure or Arsenal, or Newcastle for that matter. But I'm also quite sure you lot don't see us as an easy path to the semi's, if you do you're in for a surprise. We're in the Prem for a reason, you know!
  18. Newcastle at home to Tottenham/Nottingham Forest Southampton/Brentford at home to Manchester United Bolton Wanderers at home to Arsenal/Sheffield United BLACKBURN/burnley at home to LEICESTER CITY! Good draw!!
  19. They're not. But the song needed words. And I'm not going to call them anything positive..
  20. Agree with Alan and Flopsy, it's Newcastle for sure! Souness' black and white thugs!
  21. That wasn't an incident, he had a player pressuring him and lost balance a bit, and fell down a bit easily. But as mentioned earlier, he used his position to tackle the Burnley player, not much of a plea for penalty if you ask me.
  22. So he was there? EDIT: Damn you, trueblue!
  23. J O N A T H A N S T E A D
  24. Did Camara just threaten to HIT the linesman??
