Fair enough, Greggyk, I'll second that opinion, as long as it takes my mind off the fact that he's no longer a Rover, and never in his time here played like that. John Arne Riise. What a match. -

Anyone fancy a "Blackburn Ferguson vs Scotland Ferguson" thread? Bazza has been brilliant alongside Fletcher 1st half. 2-0. Riseth and Bergdolmo obscenely poor. -

Interestingly enough, the young player talk (right frame) caught my attention.. the player asked names David Bentley as the most skillful player ever played with. -

The team hasn't been presented to us yet, and not to the players either, according to Nettavisen. I don't want Andresen instead of Hæstad, but it does not look unlikely. But as said, nothing is official, Hæstad might start alongside Grindheim, or alongside Andresen for that matter. (disgrace if Grindheim get dropped, but you never know.) EDIT: And Gally has just scored for Scotland u21 against Norway. -

His attacking qualities are great, I agree. But defensively, he's just not good enough. Against good opponents we will struggle with a luxury player like Kvisvik, and also; he hasn't really showed his attacking skills as much as needed for Norway. There IS a gap between Tippeliga and International football. I don't think Valencia is consistant enough just yet either, but he's the best option down the right flank, far better than Solli anyway. Watch out for Carew, Grindheim and if he plays like against Slovenia: Braaten. As for Scotland, I think it will be a tough game. It will be interesting to see how Grindheim and Hæstad (I don't see a single reason why Andresen should play instead of them after the last game!) can handle Ferguson.. -

Agree with Arcturus, Braaten is far too inconsistant. He's undoubtably a talented player though, so if he could get his head straight.. -

MGP didn't have a very good game, but the goal was sheer class. He ran a lot as always, but didn't create much. We scored on two long throws though, and as said, that goal was brilliant in the last minute.. Seems like we're closing in one a World Cup spot now! -
He won't.. Friedel is our vice captain, as far as I know. And I do think he's behind Nelsen in the pecking order aswell.

Not sure what consolation (sp?) this is, Raven and others, but I'm quite sure that most of us abroadies (preferring that to monkey's tbh!) would be willing to do quite a lot to be where you are week in, week out. -

"I'll give that goal 11 out of 10" - Wendy, RW. Cross from Kuqi and a great finish by Gamst Pedersen, allegedly. -

Friedel: Fair enough Lucas: Fair enough Todd: Poor. Mokoena: Horrible Matteo: In lack of words, probably the worst performance I've ever seen. HORRIBLE! Emerton: Invisible, horrible backpass Gamst Pedersen: Fair enough. Savage: POOR passing, over-the-edge tackling, miserable game!! Reid: Fair enough Bellamy: Invisible Kuqi: Invisible Dickov: Nuf said. Blackburn: HORRIBLE! It's days like these that makes me want to end my subscription for cable tv. Give me a left back, give me Tugay in midfield, give me Nelsen back in the defence, and ffs give Savage a goddamn brain. -

Not satisfied by the job Savage has done 1st half. Headless chicken, with poor passing. He can run all day, but up until now he hasn't produced anything, and it's Reid who runs the midfield. Wouldn't hate to see Tugay come on soon.. -

Stop Matthew Etherington, and stop Yossi Benayoun - and maybe most importantly, no conceding goals from set pieces please!! -

Not really surprising that, surely?? Gresko isn't 100%, and Matteo has after all performed okay for us. -

ROVERS: Friedel, Neill, Todd ©, Mokoena, Matteo, Emerton, Reid, Savage, Pedersen, Kuqi, Bellamy. Subs: Enckelman (GK), Flitcroft, Dickov, Tugay, Gresko. EDIT: Allright lineup, let's hope Mokoena can cope in defence. -

Will be interesting to see the progress of this player. On another note, anyone know why Garner wasn't in the Reserves squad for the Wigan game? Barker, Derbyshire, Johnson - is he injured or just not good enough? -

herbergeehh replied to brfcshabba's topic in Football Messageboard Archive
1. Chelsea 2. Arsenal 3. Liverpool 4. Man Utd 5. Everton (if they can make their signings perform though, might also see a backlash and 8th or 9th place IMO) 6. Spurs 7. Rovers 8. Bolton 9. Newcastle 10. Aston Villa 11. Middlesbrough 12. Manchester City 13. Portsmouth 14. Birmingham ( ) 15. Fulham 16. West Ham 17. Charlton 18. West Brom 19. Sunderland 20. Wigan ... this would mean that our "relegating team in first match" record will break though, so I guess really West Ham should be down there. So hard to guess with the transfer window still open, and of course the January window remaining. -

Who bought Encks in the first place, was it Souness or Hughes? Never remember things like that.. Am I the only one thinking we have too few friendlies, considering Sparky's rotation in the friendlies up until now..? -

Sure, Gillespie did well on some occasions coming on. He can run, I'll give him that. And.. what else.. no, he can run.
