  1. I'd love to mate......... I'm gonna pretend I never saw that..
  2. Savage did a good job yesterday. He didn't get sent off. Neither did Paul Dickov. So what the hell are you complaining about? Fair play my arse..
  3. It was Todd he turned inside out, not Neill. Oops! That'll teach me to post before I've seen the highlights on tv. Don't beat yourself up about it, Scotty, they do after all look similar from a distance..
  4. That was a fight between Gudjohnsen and Nelsen/Todd, no way Friedel should come off his line earlier! I see your point though, Brad isn't the steady performer he was two seasons ago. But I think he played quite well tonight, with the exception of that goal.. I also think we need him at the back, he seems like a personality and a man the defenders really respect. That's probably a more important quality than most supporters think..
  5. More positive than some others here.. First of all - our central defence tonight was ace! Todd and Nelsen didn't take a wrong step all night, perhaps except that one Gudjohnsen breakthrough.. fantastic in the air, and Nelsen impressed me with some good touches and a few very good passes. Mokoena - solid defensively, but too clumsy and lacks passing skill- would've liked to see Tugay come on the last 20 minutes or so.. Thompson - poor game, poor touch and no glimpse of greatness. He'll come good though, I'm sure. Gamst Pedersen - very good today methinks, some very good and creative choices especially in the first half - and worked hard defensively aswell, compensating for lack of tackling ability.. Emerton - not a very good game, didn't pass Wayne Bridge once and still has problems putting in a good cross. Matteo - what's to say really? Can McEveley possibly contribute less? Or Gray? Or me? Neill - struggled a bit, and only one good run forward- partly because we had to watch their wingers closely.. Savage - good game, tirelessly running and creating havoc in midfield. Some great tackles, and a few good attacking contributions aswell. I'm now more sure than ever that we ended up with the best player in the Ferguson/Savage saga. (two different cases, I know, but still..) Dickov - what a player! Constantly kicking John Terry and Gallas, and sooo much better at holding the ball up than that ###### Bothroyd. A few unecessary freekicks as always, but very nice to see him upfront - you know that things happen around him! All in all, a good game by Rovers! Chelsea is undoubtably one of the, if not THE best organized teams in the world nowadays- and the options were quickly narrowed down to passing backwards. Not much to do about that really, except hoping for some Thommo/Gamst magic or a scrappy goal from a free kick. BUT, why did Savage take the corner kicks from both sides tonight?? Thought Gamst' corners against Bolton created a lot of trouble in there, an inswinging corner towards that square with 10-12 players can just as easily go in.. Oh, and not very impressed with Friedel on Robben's shot- and not Lucas defensive work either. But Chelsea without Robben didn't impress me, we were by far the best team. With a winger like Duff or a striker like Gudjohnsen upfront alongside Dickov, we would've beaten them. Bring on Boro!
  6. What is that effing slow, poor Italian defender doing on the bench instead of Johansson? I hope it's an injury, no matter how weird that might sound.. Interesting team though, the game will be won/lost in midfield methinks! Put Mokoena on Lampard, and follow their attacking runs as closely as possible - and hope for a Dickov/Pedersen goal..
  7. Interesting. A poll perhaps - 100 Dickovs or 1 Drogba?
  8. For me, I would either have a 4-4-2 with Jansen/Dickov up front, or 4-5-1 with Tugay, Thompson and Savage in the middle and Emerton / Gamst Pedersen as wingers. How will the Ewood faithful treat Damien Duff then? Would like to think we treat him well, it's not his fault Souness threw away the transfer money.. I'm not saying we should applaud him like maniacs, but he sure as hell doesn't deserve booing - and he should get a good round of applause before the game - and if he leaves the pitch before the end of the game.. (like Dunnie)
  9. I wish Rangers the best of luck with Barry as captain! No, that would also be lying.
  10. Techniqally it's a swap deal. But no, we won't get any more Rangers players. 1 hour, 5 million pounds. Feels like a reality show!
  11. That doesn't mean we have to sign another sh1tty striker, Jan.
  12. Still hope we reject their "derisory" 5 million pound offer, and keep Ferguson here.
  13. Does the window close in an hour, or in 25 hours..?
  14. Like that fat redhead who used to play for Tottenham? Doherty? I know we're desperate to get a partner for Dickov, but.. :|
  15. Agree with the last three posts, Jansen has showed his goalscoring abilities this season, and is in my very humble opinion the best man to partner Dickov up front- or even to partner Stead next time Dickov gets a suspension! Get rid of Bothroyd, keep Jansen.
  16. He can't possibly be worse than Bothroyd. Get him in alongside Dickov for the next match please.
  17. I'll take your word for it then, Prso.. thanks for contributing to this site btw, good to see a "rival supporter" with some ability to look past the club glasses.. If Barry stays, then let him fight for his place in the team. We can't afford losing a quality player like Barry just because he's asked for a move away from the club (this goes to the supporters out there calling for Hughes to put him in the reserves, that won't do any of the parts any good) - if he's good enough he should play. Will be hard for him though, with Thommo's current form - and that's undoubtably good news for Rovers, since Mr. Ferguson now has to work hard to show us how good he really is. And who knows, he just might find himself wanting to stay at the end of the season - or he'll be sold. Who cares? The main point is that if we don't get the money we want for Barry, he stays. He's on a two and a half year contract right?
  18. He was declared fit in the LET earlier today, I believe..? But he's not in the squads on BBC and TeamTalk... We'll just have to wait and see then, I guess..!
  19. Agree on the Viola bit, he's started this whole thing - but what are your views on the comments coming from the Rangers camp - e.g Murray stating that Rovers can't keep an unhappy player...? Also, there's been three or four players crying for Rangers to buy Barry, which I'm sure only makes things worse.. (having that said, I do believe Amoruso told a newspaper "I think the Barry-deal will go ahead. He wants to leave for Rovers" or something the last time...)
  20. Argh.. stop letting in silly goals!! Typical Blackburn performance against weaker opposition, isn't it? Penalty denied just now..
  21. They've said "we won't up our bid" to the media.. but if they don't, then bugger off - we can sell him somewhere else - or keep him..
  22. If that pr1ck Murray thinks he can sign Barry for a TOTAL of 3 million pounds, he won't get many players.. Absolutely disgraceful bid for a player of Ferguson's quality, especially considering the amount we had to pay. 4 millions plus removal of debt, and I would consider it. If not, then keep him and make him a part of the team again. Take away his captaincy, play him in midfield with Savage and tell him to stop whining. If he doesn't perform, simply take him out of the eleven just like any other player.
