I’d look to offload Leutwiler, Mulgrew, Williams, Smallwood and Evans. Out of those, if Williams is here come August I’ll be fuming - will prove TM is all talk. I’d obviously be happy to be shut of Samuel too but nobody will take him after a year out. I’d release all of those out of contract - special thanks to Conway and Downing but one needs the knackered yard, the other deserves a top League one club. Bennett, Bell and Raya could consider themselves very fortunate but we need squad players. We need half a new squad effectively. I don’t have faith that TM will have the budget or nous to fill the spots well.

I went last weekend against Vallecano. Insane experience and fantastic to witness the genius in the flesh. Only shame was you could sense that they all had Lyon on their minds so took their foot off the gas once they’d scored the 3rd. If they’d wanted to they could have spanked them. Yep - commented on this yesterday. Our body language to conceding every time yesterday was sickening. Nobody rallying the players, nobody grabbing the ball. I genuinely don’t think he’s brought in one ‘leader’ during his time here.

Noticed that TM’s latest player dig was at Rothwell (Radio Lancs interview post match). Not for his performance today but still - why the heck did he need to give him a public rollicking when he was probably our best player today? So that’s now Raya and Rothwell, all while the likes of Del Williams keep getting a pat on the back.

All he needs to do is get our lineup set up against a height chart to realise that the opposition will target us aerially time and time again. Piss poor management. We’re not Barcelona who can get away with it. It’s the championship FFS.

Blame squarely at TM’s door for relying on the injury prone Mulgrew and Rodwell (who are both awful defenders anyway). Lenihan’s had a couple of long lay offs too. Rank bad management to let the only lad who likes a header in Downing to leave.
