  1. Yep similar thing I posted in another thread. That’s why I’m unsure about Mulgrew being captain material. There’s nobody who takes the ball by the horns - grabs the ball - rallies the troops. Oh for a Nelsen or Todd as you said. We need a tough bugger as captain to crash a few heads together.
  2. We’re definitely lacking leadership on the field (putting Mowbray aside). Every time we concede a goal there’s just disappointment on the faces of the players - nobody grabbing the ball and motivating them. Not sure Mulgrew is captain material for me as he doesn’t rattle enough cages and motivate enough on the pitch - class player as he is. Just adds more weight for the need for an experienced centre half to come in for me.
  3. Bang on DE. It’s not ‘one or two bad results’.
  4. Agreed we shouldn’t be looking to make any rash decisions - but it’s not one or two games Biz and you know it’s not. One win in eight and we’re freefalling down the league.
  5. Yep. Said it before so apologies but Gallagher will be the latest in the long line of strikers come wingers that TM plumps with come January. Genuinely think he must either lie in the negotiations or tell the player there’s an Arjen Robben waiting to break out in them. Can’t think of why else they’d sign for us other than the dollar.
  6. I know League one is League one but he still showed predatory instincts. He knew how to get away from a defender and his finishing was pretty decent. The step us has been huge for him - as it had been at Barnsley and Bolton. He’s quite literally been shite. I’m willing to give him the benefit of the doubt simply because writing him off before he’s had a run up top would be harsh and foolish on our behalf - despite his diabolical form.
  7. Talking about one trick pony Arma - at one point in the second half he skinned their defender and could have carried on sprinting with the ball and angled in towards their area. He would have been 1 on 1. He got past his man and just eased up, dallied on the ball and gave it away. Scandalous. He may not be a winger but I’m beginning to think he’s just shite.
  8. Agree big time re: our scouting. We seem to think there’s no life outside of Coventry’s 15-16 side which didn’t even get promoted. It’s extremely amateur.
  9. Huge shame, and a bit of a surprise as he was a colossus when coming back from injury at the end of last season. Just not happening for him this term - rash and nervous as you guys have pointed out.
  10. Rodwell really disappointed me today. Granted nobody covered themselves in glory first half but he really didn’t stand out whatsoever and it was Evans who did less of the hiding than he did.
  11. The ‘not leaving a player up’ did irritate me at the time - even before the inevitable. It’s just plain bloody common sense that you’d leave somebody nippy up there to trouble them on the break. Rothwell ahould have been that man when Armstrong went off. The fact that Mowbray couldn’t shout that is baffling.
  12. There was huge stink, we then proceeded to beat Sheff Weds before the stench has returned in a big way!
  13. Clearly that’s ridiculous. But he needs to send a message by sending the likes of Williams for an extended spell on the sidelines as he’s absolutely gash and looks like a pub player weekly.
  14. Pretty much that to be honest. I appreciate the real head banging needs to go on behind close doors but the laughing and joking with Bielsa and lack of fire post match don’t sit right with me.
  15. This is what some aren’t getting. 1 win in 8 ain’t bad luck. It’s a very dangerous run that could well see us facing a dog fight soon.
  16. I’d be concerned that it will get worse before it gets better. Sheff Utd away and WBA at home - even the most rose-tinted of Rovers fans would be bold to see us getting a point or more there. Say it is indeed then 1 win in 10. You’d have to say that would be huge pressure travelling to ‘the Den’.
  17. Yep. Worrying those quotes. Please don’t start to alienate the fans with bullsh*t interviews Tony as us Rovers fans have become very proficient in seeing through them.
  18. I fear this thread will turn much darker after late losses to Sheff Utd and WBA. Millwall will be the 6 pointer and maybe make or break for Mowbray.
  19. You’d have to say, even if you write off the next two, you’d struggle to see where our next win is coming from as we could be 3 up with a few minutes remaining and none of us - or the players - would feel confident.
  20. To be fair he did more in 15 mins then the rest of them bar Dack with regards to taking the threat to them. At least he bloody runs with the ball.
  21. Thing is - he’ll come out and bemoan ‘bad luck’ tonight. We need someone to give TM a ruddy good grilling but he’ll get Sharpe accepting us as being the unluckiest club in English football tonight. It’s gone on for far too long this weak back bone. Inexcusable.
  22. 1 win in 8 and cannot sort our defensive frailties whatever he tries. Not saying pull the trigger yet but that contract extension is looking farcical.
  23. Yep. Can blame the ref all we want but how were they in that position anyway with a free for all on our goal just after we’ve taken the lead? What wound me up the most was TM hugging Bielsa at the end and having a chuckle. I’d be throttling the lot.
  24. Beyond seething tonight. Absolutely spitting. Blame the ref blame anyone all you want. But that. That. Is unacceptable.
