Well they are/have been scouting him as I’ve said, Chaddy. Let’s wait and see.
-
Funnily enough a Hammers mate of mine with connections at the club got in touch before the rumours surfaced to say they were definitely scouting him with a view to a potential bid in January. I was hoping we'd have him for the season but I think the V's will be seriously tested come the New Year.

JANUARY TRANSFER WINDOW

It makes sense given his contract situation and form, but I'm sure we all fear an injury or drop in consistency now. Prove us wrong, Corry. -

They just lost 1-0 at home to Bristol City so we really really need to be winning this one what with our two away fixtures to come. -
Personally I think those 2 inside forwards - whoever they have been - are always largely ineffective for us from an attacking point of view. The likes of Bennett and Reed can put in a good shift there but how many goals are they going to get you? Seems like no bugger scores for us outside of Graham, Dack or Mulgrew. We need some genuine wide men in Jan but I’m not sure Mowbray sees it that way.
-
It’s this inside forward thing that puzzles me too. Brereton, Armstrong & co aren’t Robben or Sane. I know Arma had a stinker today but we’re not using any of these lads to their full effect.
-
Certainly feel like we need a more detailed explanation than ‘he needs to build his upper body strength.’ He played a full season for Forest up top FFS. Something not right with this as you say.
-
Getting a little bit bloody silly now given we were crying out for a goal today.

Big 2 points dropped given they had 10 men for pretty much the whole match *waits for the first person to come on here saying it’s a point gained*. We really cannot see matches off, can we? Very frustrating. -

Probably the 3 most attacking subs in 1 match that TM has made in his time at Rovers to be fair (if you ignore how late Brereton has come on). Come on Ben lad, get your Rovers career up and running. -

It’s never easy against 10 men (as someone pointed out earlier - see Brighton vs Palace) but we’ve been very poor this second half, especially when you consider how long they’ve had 10 men. As has been the case for too long watching Rovers, we just can’t see games out comfortably - if at all. -

Get some fresh attacking legs on - they’re surely going to tire soon. Armstrong could really get to them. -

Was blindingly obvious that. I reckon they’ll get a second if we don’t switch this up a bit. Come on boys FFS they’ve got 10 men - let’s win this. -

Post Dack! This is very open - need to make sure we’re the ones who get the next goal. -

Couple of little niggly challenges on their boys and they could be down to 9. COYB. -

Corry Evans never bleddy scores for us. You feel we’ll need a second here as they’re only ever one set piece away from getting level. -

Get in! Can see the ref trying to even this out given they've got so long to go with ten men. Do NOT do anything silly boys. Williams (on a yellow), Smallwood, Evans I am looking at you. -

Been moaning for weeks about the lack of consistency in the selection so for once you won’t hear any moans from me pre match. COYB - lets take a point away at least. -
JANUARY TRANSFER WINDOW

Wickham seems a realistic shout, you’d like to think we’d be in for him if he were available. Ings is probably the most ambitious name I’ve seen on here - he’s the Saints tailisman (and record signing?!) and I doubt we could afford one of Maupay or Adam’s feet let alone both. -

Like others am concerned by their style of play. Set piece experts - utilising their big buggers to cause maximum mayhem in our box. Which really ain’t our style. Not really sure what TM does to counter this as we have to be the smallest side in the league. Perhaps Chris Samba fancies dusting off his boots for a one off match?! -

You can’t have read my post then pal where I said about them contributing the majority towards them. As I said, ambitious name but one nonetheless. -
JANUARY TRANSFER WINDOW
G Somerset Rover replied to adz4d2's topic in Blackburn Rovers Fans Messageboard
I’m not usually one for the ambitious targets, but I could see Leighton Baines going out on loan in January given Digne has taken over as Everton’s first choice LB. Could be worth throwing our hat in the ring - would imagine there would be a fair few clubs in for him mind and Everton would need to pay the majority of his no doubt big wage. 33 but even if he just played with his right foot would still be a huge upgrade on Del & Rodney! -

Will hold my hands up I didn’t see this coming after the past two matches and after seeing our lineup pre match. Fantastic to see Dack and Graham back on song - crucial they fired again and they have. Big win. -

Yep gotta feel for the fans who’ve paid their hard earned today. Even if we win it will be an extremely insipid affair with no pace or creativity in the side. -

JHC I knew his lineup would seriously piss me off, and there it is. Tell me Tony, aside from having zero creativity and zero pace, how in Gods name has Derrick Williams kept his place? I think I’ll stick with my uninspiring 1-0 defeat prediction. Where the heck is the creativity coming from?
