  1. They just released their Q3 earnings report and basically said "yeah, we're going because dem billions of dollars". I get the feeling they haven't been reconsidering at all. The lack of mentions of Saudi Arabia have just been to try and fly under the radar. They live in their own world and morality or ethics rarely come into it unless they can make some money off pretending to be decent human beings. Funny thing is that apparently they'll only be making £2-3 million out of this show, which isn't that much when you consider the PR nightmare that's happening now and will continue afterwards. Even John Cena is apparently refusing to go, and in the past he's been their most loyal soldier. Has his Hollywood and children's author careers to worry about now though, and going to Saudi Arabia in the current climate is not a good look.
  2. Wouldn't that be hilarious. For all the vitriol their fans spewed at him for leaving, I bet he'd be welcomed back with open arms.
  3. Ipswich fans seem fairly sure Hurst has been sacked. I'd expect him to at least be given the Millwall game.
  4. Considering it's a relapse there's sadly a pretty strong chance he may not come back at all, whether that be through being physically unable or because he's dead. Obviously goes without saying that having cancer twice by the time you're 33 is not a good sign. If he comes back then he'll be a face forevermore, I can't see him getting seriously booed ever again. I don't think even WWE would be stupid enough to try turning him heel at that point. As for the crowd, yeah, some people are just beyond help. It's the same people who can't help themselves during minute's silences. You just know that in real life they'd be absolutely unbearable to have to deal with. Oh, also, WWE have just announced they're going to Saudi Arabia whether people like it or not. Justification being "other companies are doing it" and "it's a lot of money". So, yeah, at least they're being honest I guess. Considering they perform practically every week in a country which regularly sees human rights abuses and has a dictator in all but name as President it shouldn't be that big of a deal really.
  5. It's funny how the Ipswich Star is as much a propaganda machine as the LT at times. According to their match report: "The Blues produced a much-improved display at Elland Road" Much improved. OK.
  6. Looks like Ipswich fans have had enough of Hurst already... Ouch.
  7. We know exactly how it's going to go.
  8. True, but if we could defend competently we might get away with only needing to score one. As it stands it feels like we need to score three or four to win matches, which will never work out long term.
  9. Just noticed we're the only club in the top eleven with a negative goal difference. We're realistically going to need to sort out our defending if we want to stay in the top half.
  10. The fact he can't get on in one of his natural positions ahead of a 19 year old striker says it all. Mowbray obviously doesn't rate him. It's a season-long loan though, so unless there's a clause allowing us to break the deal he'll be warming our bench for a while yet.
  11. It's hard to understand Mowbray's obsession with playing strikers out wide. We had it last season with Antonsson, Armstrong and Samuel, now we're seeing it with the latter two and Brereton. If you want to play with wide players, buy wide players, not strikers or no 10's to shoe horn uncomfortably into that position.
  12. Yep. But then so is spending £7m on 'one for the future' when we have serious issues that need addressing in the present.
  13. A shame Shelfy isn't still around, we might have been able to blame it on him going rogue again.
  14. Acceptable first half. Really poor second half. Swansea ultimately wanted it more. We ran out of energy and desire. Completely disagree with the sentiment that Swansea didn't deserve the win - they did. Time to move on from this one. As soon as Brereton arrives on a permanent we should send him out in loan somewhere else. Totally serious. The boy isn't ready and massively weakens us when he's on the pitch.
  15. We worked hard in the first half but as an attacking force we've been insipid all game. Armstrong started off strong but seemed to give up after a couple of awful attempts on goal. Dack has been trying too hard to get the ball and as a result been ineffective again. Graham held it up well until he was taken off, but Brereton looks lost. Defensively we're a real mess. We need to forget these ideas of playoffs or promotion. Not happening with this squad. Too poor at the back and too lacking in the final third. Our work rate will secure us a mid table finish, but that's the limit unless we improve significantly in January.
  16. Let's not kid ourselves into thinking we've had this game in the bag save for giving a couple of silly goals away. They've had double the shots we have and far more possession. It most games the team with most possession and shots wins, so we haven't been robbed here. Frankly, penalty aside we've never looked like scoring. A draw here would be an excellent result but as it stands we'll be fortunate to only concede two.
  17. Hard to feel aggrieved about this. Swansea have looked more threatening in the last ten minutes or so than we have all game. We're an industrious team but have literally no creativity or intelligence in our attacking play when Dack isn't performing. It's set pieces or nothing as far as goals are concerned.
  18. A great goal, not much we could do about that. We need to start producing some corners or free kicks, as I can't see us scoring from open play.
  19. A daft challenge but looked worse than it was. The Swansea player made it look like Bennett had taken a sledgehammer to his shin.
  20. We've looked extremely composed so far. Neither team really looks like scoring from open play, but hopefully we can get another to avoid another nail biting end. I'm assuming it'll be exactly that though, as this is Rovers after all.
  21. Thus far a very solid performance from Rovers again.
  22. Oops, you're right. I need to pay more attention.
  23. Smallwood injured. Rodwell on.
  24. Armstrong is a menace on the flank but his shooting is so bad. He just tried a shot from the edge of the area and nearly hit the corner flag.
