  1. You just cant predict this one due to the fact we dont have a manager. If we still have parkes in charge then we'll lose 3-0, houllier in charge we'll lose 2-0 but if we get hughes or newell i could see a 1-1 draw. Heres hoping
  2. If we got Houllier would we also get Phil "pinocchio" Thompson? I dread to think of the many boring Saturday afternoons!
  3. Luckily Reid has said his happy at Coventry. I was getting worried for a minute there. Also His bald, his fat, his dick advocaat is a serious contender. Strachan is looking like a non started as the scotland job could be available soon. Hughes may leave wales after two draws in the qualifiers means that wales are off the pace. Other than that its looking like a thirty man race and only a fool would bet on who could be the next manager! It could be anyone in the world. Except from most of the good managers.
  4. I'm not convinced that Hughes will take the job. I'm at a loss to think of who will take it. It could be anyone! Theres already been over 50 people linked to the job on this message board!
  5. Its interesting that theres 12 applicants. I fear that Hoddle, Graham and Houllier may be among those applicants. Theres only one guy to take the job for me and I hope that Newell has applied.
  6. Simon Garner wants mike newell as well: Parkes is Caretaker, Garner wants Newell as manager I'm off to put a bet on. Good odds!
  7. Mike Newell has stated that he is flattered to be linked with the job and he would jump at the chance to take it. The argument is that he is unproven but with his incredible record this season i'd personally be ecstatic he he got the job. Dowie and Bruce used to be young, unproven managers but look what they've done! Newell has all the tell-tale signs of being a great manager. Respectability and a high win ratio at every club his managed. He can also still kick a ball and is a good role model for stead, gallagher, garner, derbyshire etc. His also the best of the possible appointments although i rate strachan higher i doubt he'll ever step foot near the club. I'm expecting a press release from him this afternoon stating he doesn't want the job. Its time to spark memories of the golden age at blackburn 10 years after we won the title.
  8. Parkes has had a few good seasons as caretaker. That doesn't surprise me.
  9. For me the turning point was the exit of duff and dunn. There went the skill and the goal threat.
  10. What the t-shirt that says "I managed Tottenham and I f***ed up"
  11. Mike Newell, doing wonders at Luton. I'm sure Houllier wouldn't want the job. King Kenny? Interesting but i dont think he wants it. Vialli? No. Just No. Bruce? Ha! Birmingham are a better team than us at the moment. Why would he possibly want this job. Strachan? Scotland manager in a few weeks. Sir Booby? Bit old but i'd be happy with the choice. Sturrock? Would install Discipline but unproven. Unfortunetly this is not a job everyone wants because of our lack of money. And whoever thinks ranieri will leave VALENCIA for Blackburn should start watching more football.
  12. Wow i'm shocked. Can we at least have some compensation? Lol. Anyway time to pick a new manager. Sir Bob would be good but that would be short term, what is he? eighty? Heres a name for you... Mike Newell. Former Rovers striker and doing a great job at Luton. He also got Hartlepool promoted but unfairly didn not have his contract extended. At Luton the record this season is P7 W6 D1. They're 5 points ahead of anyone! But I guess the premiership demands big name managers. Who knows even Alan Shearer could be the manager (i doubt it) . I wish souness success in the job although i cant see him being in it for long as newcastle expect success and they just dont have the team to do that. Who knows one day we could be shouting sounesses blue and white army once more.
  13. Yes thank god!! Woohoo!!! Although Heskey and Yorke up front does strike fear in my stomach!!
  14. According to Celtics web site yorke has decided to stay in the premiership and i gather thats with us. Damn it we came so close to flogging him off. Maybe rooney needs a chaufeur to drive him to the old folkes home.
  15. So far this season I have been very impressed with Rovers displays and I believe that we should have 4 points not one as the defence has come short at both games but the penalty was a farse. I'm not blaming Souness as he is the best thing to happen to the club since 94/95 cup winning season. And if the "fans" do force him out who the heck are we gonna get? Hoddle?! Graham?! We have no money and a low attendance, hell we could even end up with Glen Roeder! Now who wants that to happen? Didn't think so. Get behind the team.
  16. As we're playing the blame game i'm going to throw one in there. I blame France for being good. Damn them and all their evilness.
  17. That game was England through and through. I think that was a dress rehersal of the final. Best game i've seen so far in the tournament.
  18. I agree with that. They may have bigger stadiums with bigger support but have they won the title or even a cup (not counting mickey mouse cups like "The Asia cup" or "The Ajax tournament"). Nope. They can call themselves the bigger club but on our day we can beat whoever we want, whether it be Lazio (I know it was a friendly), Arsenal or even Man Utd. Rovers are quite possibly the most stressful team to watch as we can go drawing with the likes of chelsea or matching Arsenal's class at Highbury (and unluckily losing) to crashing at home to Villa or Portsmouth. On their day they are good but on their bad streaks they can be abismal, but i'll still turn up every week. As will 99.999999999999% of season ticket holders.
