Yeah our set plays are shocking, if we win a free kick in a dangerous position we might as well just give them the ball back, can't remember the last time I felt excitement for a set piece.
Sorba Thomas was supposed to be a set piece king. He clearly isnt.

Dolan has been terrible on the ball in the last 3 games. Has no awareness of what's around him and just spins around making himself dizzy. Headless chicken.

Sunderland play Watford and Preston to play
Rovers play Luton and Millwall
Coventry play Birmingham and Boro
West Brom play Sheff U, Norwich and Swansea
Millwall play Blackpool and Rovers
All tough games everything can still happen
Can see Sunderland getting in with Coventry.

That would take us on 71p
Wouldn't be enough. Need snookers now.

Yup, they've been pretty good at screwing up player sales over the last few years.
Did well to get £15m (before sell-on) for Armstrong as I'm sure Soton will see him as something of a disaster.

Scott Wharton substitition kills us again. Psyhetic slip to let in Delap.

Dolan has zero intelligence on the ball. Always makes the wrong decision. Always looks to be in a hurried panic. Compare with Adam Wharton.

I know the playoffs are essentially cup games and anything can happen, but if we stumbled into them on our current form you can't help but think Boro with their 82 goals would absolutely smash us over two legs if we got them in the semis. Yes they've conceded 52, but we have no decent strikers so that probably wouldn't help much.
Absolutely correct. That's why I don’t get too bothered about not getting into the playoffs.

Is there a bigger set of bottlenose in the Football League than this mob?
Unfortunately you have to include the manager in that. Went all "Sheffield United" again and put us completely on the back foot with the substitutions.
He just had to get Morton on. Ridiculous substitition.

BBD is awful beyond belief. He has gone back 4 years

There appears to be an obsession amongst some posters about 'bulking up' young players. Like Buckley Wharton has terrific balance and can ride challenges so well because of this. He demonstrated against Blackpool that he can tackle too. Tackling is more about timing than steaming in like a bull in a China Shop.
Scott Sellars weighed 9st and he wasn't a bad player

Why can't we ever score after going behind?
Because there's nothing in midfield and the centre forward is useless in front of goal.

Why do professional coaches pick players like Morton week in week out when literally everyone of us mere mortals who arent involved in the game in a professional capacity can see that Adam Wharton is an infinitely better option and how do players like Gallagher with zero talent manage to carve out an immensely lucrative career in the game without being sussed out in double quick time?
It's always been a mystery to me over the years, like we're watching a different game. Ditto Jason Lowe etc.
There must be something in Morton's loan agreement. There is no other explanation for him continuing to start. He's worse defensively than Wharton could possibly be and offers nothing at all going forward.

Doesn’t even touch it. If he trips and falls he scores, but instead leaps over it
Gallagher is an utter joke in front of goal.

Substitutions are too little too late. Usually fall apart anyway after making changes.

Yes,been like that for along time and not worth a shirt, or a shit now I think of it.
He's either carrying an injury or he's just coasting.

Get Gallagher off, what an absolute shambles of a footballer he is.
Come back Chris Brown. All is forgiven. Whatever Gallagher is, its not a footballer.

Why no changes?! Jdt is showing he's not up to it.

Big crowd big letdown. Some things never change. Carrying too many passengers notably Morton and Gallagher as usual. Paying the price for a dreadful January window.

Easter has been our downfall on a few occasions.
Bowyer era, 95th minute SWFC equaliser at Hillsborough followed by drawing at home to fecking Yeovil on Good Friday (now on the verge of relegation to National League South, by the way.) pretty much torpedoed our play off chances.
Peterborough last Good Friday pretty much put the final nail in the coffin.
So, Norwich is definitely a must not lose.
Coventry City at home in 1967.

Poor from the manager for the second week running for me - if you're starting Gallagher and leaving your most effective striker on the bench you're not really that interested in winning the game or making the play offs in my book.
Dumped out of the Cup last week after winning with 10 mins to go, beaten today, this has all the hallmarks of another spectacular collapse/bottle job at the business end to put alongside the one that happened over a longer period last season
Lose at home to Norwich and at a revitalised Hudds and the playoffs are gone. No hope of redemption in the last 3 matches. Looking like a repeat of last season's Easter surrender at Pboro and home to Stke.

According to BBC website, Hyam is not in the squad to face Spain onTuesday. Bad sign?

BTW, how good would this team be if we had a proper CF ?
I reckon we'd be challenging top two, no problem.
Gallagher occasionally gets something right such as the weighted through ball for Sxmodics goal. But 95% of the time he looks like an impostor from a lower league. He is consistently too slow to reach balls across the six yard box and it cost us again today. Always back on his heels.

The usual crap coverage for us by ITV. No manager interview either before after the match. Absolutely no back-stories about Rovers, just a brief pre-match interview with Brereton. At least it helps in keeping this season's achievements under the radar. McCoist was fair but otherwise absolutely rubbish punditry in the studio.

Denied late on by the woodwork at Sheffield and again today. That said the second half performance was poor and Luton were in easy control. Brereton has been useless since the World Cup break.
