Smodiczs, Brittain and Hyam and maybe Pickering could be back for Hudds and be not surprise to see Gally on the bench.

Hyam played against Watford so that's not sn addition. Gallagher won't last 20 minutes before he's sitting down rubbing his leg. Who said Pickering will be back. With this squad any absence seems to be 3 weeks minimum.

9I can't really think of many positives from that, a day where nothing went right for us.

Truth be told we never laid a glove on southampton with 11 men. We allowed them good possession and field position without an effective out ball and countering threat. We were never going to out play them at their place but I still felt the game plan didn't really help. I suppose that is on JDT who I remain a big fan of.

Some really tired performances, mentally and physically. All that exacerbated by a moment of pure petulance from Brittain who has let himself and his team down with that stupidity. He got booked on Tuesday for doing pretty much the same thing so I do wonder if there's something going on with him personally or if he's just bloody thick. If I was JDT I'd ask him to find his own way home.

We've got some winnable games coming up and hopefully a few players to come back so I'm clinging to that right now.

Apart from Rotherham at home in New Year I don't see much coming from a resurgent Watford at home followed by two away at Hudds and Hull.

    50% loss rate this season

24 games to get 19 points to take us to 50. On that loss ratio we need 19 points from twelve games and we'd better hope that some of our wins don't start turning into draws.

Thats a realistic assessment of where this season is heading now. Looking down rather than up. From the fixture list it's not a gimme to get 6 wins and a draw.

Whoever "organises" Rovers TV needs sacking and replacing with a competent human or efficient AI. I want to watch the full match v PNE. I find the video, it tells me to log in, I log in, screen says "You are logged in", I select match replay, it says I must log in, I log in, screen says "You are logged in, I select match replay, it says I must log in.........................................ad infinitum.🤬

I'm beginning to get really, really pissed off with all that is Rovers.

I am unable to see any content on Rovers TV because of the log in problem. There is no explanation, apology or indication as to when the service will resume. It's utterly pathetic and just reflects the shambles behind the scenes since Waggot became CEO.

I think we regretted selling Kaminski the day it happened. It was purely about Venkys and no money. Endless dilution of the squad for pennies.

How many points will it cost us? How much money will it cost us in the end?

No plan, no future, no hope as things stand

Even with sound finances Kaminski would still have been sold as he was understandably desperate to get an opportunity to play in the PL.

Did Rooney do a good job at Derby? It is such a difficult period to judge, Derby were in such a strange situation that it felt like any points won were considered above expectation. They did have terrible off the field issues even though they had some talented players, and he had Rosenior behind him who is a good Championship manager in his own right.

His win record at both clubs he has managed is in the 20s in terms of %. He will get this job for no other reason than being Wayne Rooney.

Seems likely that Rooneys success at Derby may have been down to his assistant Rosenoir who has subsequently turned round Hull City.

  7. Absolutely nobody looks like scoring except for Szmodics and even he is having to double up as a creator of chances. No threat at when there's a loose ball in the box. No threat at all from corners and free kicks. Not much good at taking pens either in recent times. It smells strongly of a relegation season. Won't be coming back this time.

    my thoughts on the game,

I thought we played some good attractive football going forward until the 3rd goal. Moran was excellent in the 10 role. JDT was clever how when Leicester had the ball, Szmodics and Moran would mark their 2 defensive midfielders in Winks and Pereira with Travis and Wharton marking Ndini and Dewsbury-Hall with Markanday and Sigurdsson marking Justin and Faes leaving their central centre back Vestergaard with the ball alot who did nothing with it majority of the time.

We conceded a very poor goal 5 mins in with Faes scoring. Travis lost his man very easily. Second goal came from our own throw in. Third goal was a penalty. no complaints. Fourth goal, we were chasing the game. Nothing Pears or Wahlstedt could do with either goal. Never thought we were ever cut open by Leicester who created very little IMO. Had Travis scored when 1-2 we might have got a draw or even a win.

This squad is playing well going forward and I can understand why we playing this style cos it suits our squad and we need to create chances to win. I think our squad is work in progress and we have young talent squad but I deffo don't feel relegation and I still think JDT is the right head coach for us right now and the beyond. I am not in panic mood and worry mood. Lets go and win at Coventry and QPR which will settle people down alot.

    And if we don't.....?

Yes... i really thought we would have put another defensive midfielder in today, and also have dropped pears. Both decisions to persevere seem really strange.

Keeper change is now forced. Will be interesting if we stick with the tactics. We cant keep conceding at the clip we are and not change.

Perhaps he didn't change the keeper because he doesn't trust the replacement - with good reason on the evidence of the 4th goal.

You can’t stand still in football. You either go forwards or you go backwards. One thing I do know - don’t score goals when you have gilt edged chances  = relegation. First time I saw it was in 1966,  we had too many good players to go down then - but we did.

We also had a shit goalkeeper and a midfield that was overrun in the absence of Bryan Douglas.

Sutton sounds like he's nailed it. We are a development club. Waggott said it, stay up and develop players, that's the only aim.

That's the message from the top.

    Abysmal.

Lose £15m a season and hope that you can develop young players of value to sell and cover the losses. Every season. Its the economics of the madhouse.

Outplayed a PL team for the most part. Sadly, JDT hasn't been given the right tools to do the job.

Still, a long way to go this season. Bit too soon to be writing the season off.

    Lots of positives.

Lot of much bigger negatives too. Can't actually see where the next points are coming from. The pretty football will disappear with lack of confidence and reality setting in. Can see some humiliations on the horizon if Jdt doesn't change tack. But I suspect he's happy with all the plaudits from the media and is just now waiting for an exit door to open.

This is a relegation battle team

Except it doesn't look remotely like a team that will battle in the way that's needed to scrap for points. Incredibly soft defending/goalkeeping and not the personnel to just cross into the box and someone to be on the end of it. Will be bottom 3 by this time next week. Very worrying that Wahlstedt looks as feeble as Pears.
