We're done and it is exactly what the hierarchy deserves.
That bastard Waggott coming out with "avoiding relegation".
Here's your relegation. Slimy bastard.
Do you think he even remotely cares?

Well they have the funds to pay compensation now.

Lose this and it'll be 2 points from the last 3 home games against 3 of the 4 worst teams in the league. Plus a fairly recent hammering at Sheff Weds. This would be a manager sacking at any other club.

Just a matter of time before QPR score. Can't see where even another 10 points are coming from. A poor squad but Jdt doesn't help by keep playing the useless Moran.

Looks like Moran is taking Wharton's role. Not sure about that personally.
Scary. Moran is so weak and loses possession far more than wins it.

If he goes it will be like the chaos in 2012/13 and a freefall towards the relegation places. Also strong parallels with Lambert being lured in and finding that he gets none of the proceeds of the Rhodes sale. After 5 years of comparative calm under Mowbray it's back to the idiocy of the earlier days. Only chancers like Coyle will want to take over from Jdt.

He must have a little bit of ability to have received an international call up
Will he even play anyway if only one up top and JDT is still manager he will start Gallagher
Walstedt has played once for Sweden. The US hand out appearances very generously. Of course if he's young and in the scoring charts they'll have a look at him. He's the insurance when Gally pulls up with another calf strain.

Have to say, not wildly optimistic about this McGuire from the (completely unqualified) eye test.
People were writing off Telalovic because of the level he played at but some of those MLS/college clips look absolutely honking. From what I've seen McGuire doesn't look physical (or "nasty") despite being tall and well built. Can't see him bullying centre backs in the Championship - so a bit like Gally. Doesn't appear to have impressive ball skills, hold up play or incisive first time passing. Not surprising for someone playing college soccer rather than going through a youth academy or the rough and tumble of non-league football here.. I suspect he's no better - or even as good - as Telalovic. It's just as well he's only coming on loan so he can be binned at the end of the season.

I’ve HEARD last night that JDT was fuming about Wharton leaving as the entire way of playing was built round a central pivot point. Unhappy with the signings and the club probably (my guess) knew that in the current circumstances his interview wouldn’t be well received by fans and would only cause more negativity. He was not a happy man last night apparently.
So what "pivot plan" did JDT have if Wharton had got a season-ending injury? And how did he manage for the 29 matches that Wharton didn't start in last season? There's no certainty that a similar or better offer would have been received for Wharton in the summer and potential buyers would probably have held off until late August. Rumourred interest from Chelsea and Everton did not materialize probably because of their FFP concerns. Would that change in the summer?Tomasson's job is to get on and manage what he's got.

I'm cautiously optimistic about McGuire, it's just a shame that we probably won't sign him even if he does well
Watching his YouTube highlights doesn't inspire confidence. Likewise Broughtons track record for signing strikers - Hurst,Ennis, Telalovic - none of whom have scored a league goal yet.

Blackeye Rovers returns…
If Fleck and Garrett are starting in midfield we won't be finishing the match with 11 players on the pitch.

IF he's fit. Hardly played this season, and the Yorkshire Post reports that he's been beset with injury problems.
Might as well have signed Paul Gascoigne.

Mixed feelings over the window. Considering where we were yesterday morning, to pull three signings out of the bag isn’t bad going and at least we got McGuire over the line.
The Travis move makes less sense than all the others. Exactly the type of player we need but clearly off the pitch factors played a part.
Wharton hurts. The money is good but the timing clearly speaks to the dire financial situation we’re in. If Wharton going secures the club’s medium term financial future than so be it - but it’s going to need to be a big summer to fill all the gaps in the squad and justify the sale of our biggest asset.
Also, Elliott Jackson is completely out of the loop with what’s going on at the club. Declared everything was done after McGuire and was feeding off other journalists all day.
I think Jackson just sits at home reading social media and press agency sites. No insight whatsoever.

It wouldn't surprise anybody. It's been their MO for years.
Another awful window. Still think we'll be looking nervously over our shoulder come April.
Clear as day that Swag had the Wharton deal lined up to plug costs - where else was his 'next tranche of funding' coming from?
There's nothing to sell in summer so if the court issue isn't addressed, things should get interesting.
Alternatively, if it is, the usual bollocks about ffp won't be an excuse for a year or two. I'll not hold my breath.
Still plenty to sell in the summer and they will. Dolan, Gally, Sigurdsson and Hyam all with just 1 year left assuming the options are taken up on the first two. That's probably £5m plus the Raya money. And Travis to be sold assuming he persists in asking for a transfer. Oh and there's decent money to be had for Carter too. It's not the lack of incoming funds but the refusal to spend any of it.

Is it a good signing? Sheffield United fans aren't as kind!
Fleck broke his leg in August and according to Wilder was still suffering pain from it just 3 weeks ago and added to the injury list. Furthermore the break was a recurrence of a break suffered just 12 months earlier. Looks like we signed another crock.

The sycophants and happy clappers posing as reporters and pundits at the LT and Radio Lancs (not to mention Radio Rovers) won't reflect any of the anger among fans and reflected on this MB.

It's been suggested, and this window has done nothing to dispel that notion, that Wharton has been sold in lieu of having to go back to Court in March and they will only go back when the Wharton money has run out.
Seemingly if they request say £11m funding they have to lodge the equivalent amount with the Court as security
That seems a very likely scenario. And will probably be repeated with the further transfer income to be received in the summer. Look forward to squad comprised entirely of free transfers, loans and more kids from the Academy next season.

probably moran, who imo has`nt turned out to be as good a player as i thought he would be
Moran is as weak as piss and will be devoured by a physical QPR midfield comprising Hayden, Colback and Field.

You are constantly mentioning 22m. The actual deal is for 18m potentially rising to 22m. I wouldn’t hold your breath on that one.
And the £22m is reduced by a "loyalty" payment to the player plus agent's fees and 20% VAT so probably closer to £15m net.

QPR are a much better team than their current position suggests. And they've strengthened significantly this month with a striker from Belgium (proven goalscorer there) and Hayden from Newcastle. Rovers squad is completely ill-equipped for the coming relegation battle.
Have to hope that Huddersfield are even worse than Rovers although the two recent matches against them suggest otherwise.

Probably a small fee in the low-to-mid hundreds of thousands. I think if they pay enough to cover Ennis' wages and signing on fees - which presumably weren't extortionate - then we'll take it. Seems obvious JDT does not rate him in the slightest and whilst it technically leaves us another man down, the fact is Ennis has - according to Transfermarkt - played a grand total of 338 minutes for us in the league and contributed nothing of note, so tough to say he'd be missed. Assuming McGuire comes in (big if) then we'd have him, Gallagher, Leonard, Dolan and Szmodics as forward options which is probably enough. Scoring goals hasn't been our problem, keeping them out has been the issue.
That's with Adam Wharton pulling the strings in midfield. Where is the creativity and ball retention with Garrett?

This Ennis to Stoke deal seems odd. Anyone got any more details. LET says permanent deal. Any fee?
Just getting him off the wage bill would be a triumph.

In the summer we can expect the sales of Carter, Dolan, Gallagher and probably Szmodics. The proceeds plus the Raya sell-on will simply cover next season's losses as Venkys have clearly stopped their funding.
Add Hyam to that list of summer sales as even if he signs a contract extension (and why would he?) that's just a device to increase the transfer fee.

It beggars belief that he was kept on until the end, Whatever the penalties they can't include that surely?
