Is Waggot going to take a 15 %pay cut. That would save a lot more than closing the BBE.

Applying pressure to venkys, that's just not possible. They don't give a shit mate. They're safely ensconced in India, they're bomb proof.
Never mind promotion, I think relegation is inevitable in five years. It's a soul destroying experience, we're slowly having the tape turned off
Relegation next season if not this. Venkys won't be bothered as a much lower wage bill means reduced losses and lots of players will be sold to enable the financial can to be kicked down the road.

Dolan contributed nothing defensively on the left side so Ipswich ran riot down there particularly as Pickering was playing more central in a back three. Going forward his confidence is completely shot and he's just hiding most of the time.

The most difficult aspects of goalkeeping are dealing with high crosses and advancing out of the penalty area. Pears is hesitant and indecisive at both.

The mistakes started in the 2nd minute with Wharton's terrible ball through for Leonard, and carried on with regularity.
Ipswich goalkeeper made as many gaffes as Pears but didn't get punished for them. The incident referred to above was just the first of them.

I've seen very, very little of that this season. He's slow, lazy and gives the ball away far too often.
Wharton is massively over hyped. He gives away possession far too often and in dangerous situations. The midfield is scarily wide open and is crying out for a no nonsense enforcer. Wharton would have to be the casualty. At the moment he often looks a stroppy teenager.

Pickering is the weakest link. I have been saying it for over a year. Absolutely dirt.
Looked wide open on our left flank. Pickering has no pace whatsoever and was torn to shreds in the second half.

He's made a few decent saves - he's not a bad shot stopper, but his all round game as a GK is f'ing awful.
Shot stopping is all that Pears can do. His judgment is hopeless and he has zero physical presence. That said we don't know how Walstedt looks in training... Be careful of what you wish for.

Boro won't, they'll sack Carrick soon enough and they will stay up.
QPR, Rotherham, Swansea ,Sheff Wed and Plymouth are the only teams that are likely to finish below us. And even that depends on avoiding long term injuries to key players such as Hyam, Wharton and Szmodics as well getting a decent contribution from at least a couple of the summer signings. Not a comfortable position to be in at all.

He over stayed his welcome here - by about 3 seasons.
To be fair he was working under Venkys and the turds they've appointed to run the show. Like allowing most of the best players to leave on frees.

Another season of mid table mediocrity beckons. Without even the false promise of a playoff push to keep us going.
Mid-table?? I struggle to come up with three teams that are likely to finish below us with the kamikaze ineptitude that's been on show so far this season. .

Garrett is way off this level. Dolan is pathetic. Very worrying performance as the no cutting edge whatsoever and an open style of play that gives massive openings to a counter-attack. Will be looking at the bottom six before the clocks go back.

How utterly pathetic that Buckley is sent out on loan against the wishes of the Head Coach. The finances must be dire if saving a few month's wages becomes the overriding consideration. Venkys project now is more clearly than it ever has been, to simply reduce costs and hope for a windfall profit on developing the young players. Why the hell don't they just f**k off!

Moyes wants PL experience but the costs increases and their technical director wants players from Europe who are cheaper but similar quality.
If Moyes leaves, Jdt will be on the Hammers shortlist.

That game was a reasonable watch, against a good side who were for the most part, comfortable under pressure and good on the break. Dolan looks like he is playing at a level just above where he should be.
Headless chicken. No loss if he doesn't sign the contract extension. Somebody might even pay a fee to get him.

Christmas '70?
Boxing Day 1970. Brian Hill scored a cracker which I recall earned a draw. The only memorable thing Hill did in 2 seasons.

Football isn’t a normal industry, the money and profile higher level players and managers have gives them power.
JDT had walked before and his agent already seems busy, so I doubt he’ll be showing undue homage at the Pune Palace.
When is the trip to India taking place? Or will it be cancelled like so many others in the past?

Souness has the best record of any Rovers manager. Promotion to PL in first full season after taking over a shambles. Winning (Worthingtons) League Cup . Top Six finish qualifying for Europe.

Fact Check. Some of the expenditure such as on the Academy - about £2m - doesn't count for FFP so the funding gap is less than £7m.

There is an astonishing amount of work needed on this squad and if we are just bringing in loans and freebies, it won't be anywhere near enough.
Wouldn't be getting any hopes up for a play off push next season.
More like relegation.

Not just the last month. Since Jan it's been atrocious. But wait it's a 'transition year " and we have a " young squad " so give him time..
Carry this suicidal form into next season and its relegation. No wins in 10 attempts now! Jdt can just get lost. This team has the backbone of a jellyfish.

At best about a 1in 7 chance of making the playoffs and about a 3% chance of making it to the PL. This is based on a very optimistic 1 in 3 probability of winning at Millwall and the two other teams having a 2 in 3 probability of failing to win which also seems generous. In the playoffs it's probably 50 /50 although again that's optimistic. All in all nothing to get excited about yet.

Nah, you won't. I'll start - Steve Waggott is an absolute charlatan, stealing a living from this great club, with the business acumen of a dead slug. He's a conman, utterly inept at his job.
Nothing to be afraid of.
According to the accounts he was paid £300k a couple of seasons ago. Wow just wow 😟
