Spot on.
He needs more games. Only problem is we'll sell him for £500k in the summer
Anybody with a transfer value will be sold in the summer.

Forgot we have a game on Saturday...
The delay in dealing with the head coach position shows that Venkys have forgotten too.

The club is back to the managerial and administrative chaos of 2013 and appointing Fowler would just dig an even deeper hole.

Robbie Fowler being under any kind of consideration is hilarious.
It'll be Paul Ince next. Even the thought of Fowler as manager is stomach churning,

I won't believe Eustace is appointed until I see him in the dugout. I suspect Venkys will faff over this as usual and either piss him off with penny-pinching demands and restrictions so he walks away or take so long that a better-run club (ie anybody else) comes in and takes him. It's happened before and as we know Venkys are slow to non-existent learners.

He'll survive. Probably get a contract extension. Venkys always double-down when there's fans' criticism of their henchmen. Remember Steve K**n.?

That is sadly a strong possibility. He lives local. Big name. Feckin useless tho
Thankfully Rooney said he was going to take some time away from the game. Let's hope he meant it.

I can't help but laugh 🤣😂🤣😂
They must think the fans are stupid as they are.

Wayne Rooney. Clowns in India will think a 'big name' will appease the fans because we get to look at wazza on the touchline. He will 100% be interviewed.
They'll spend at least 4 weeks (of dire results in the meantime) interviewing candidates and then give to some useless tosser recommended by their favorite agent.

Fans will vote with their feet in my opinion, I forecast another 20% drop in attendance next season
More than that in L1.

Again? Ffs. Happening all over again isn’t it? Someone is certain of sabotaging things to make relegation happen.
This fucker needs to be found and kicked out out of the club.
It's likely to be Suhail.

McGuire latest - legal chats & meetings taking place over this weekend & with the football authorities tomorrow. If McGuire can’t be registered by Blackburn then he will return to Orlando with talks over a pre-contract likely.
No chance we'll be signing him permanently. Probably be in L1 next season. Why would he want to do another deal with these incompetent shysters?

eustace off to huddersfield😒
Where is that from? According to websites they are in talks with Michael Duff.

Playing Sigurdsson is effectively a 10 man team. He stands on the touchline passes backwards and runs off to hide. He gives his full back no cover. Hedges would be better but that's not saying much. Moran is completely lost in midfield at this level. Garrett or Buckley would be a marginal improvement. There are now plenty of options in central defence but again none look particularly attractive due to either a total lack of either pace or experience. Tomasson should be doing better with the squad currently available but it's difficult to polish turds.

Next season's team
Pears
Brittain
O'Riordan
Wharton
Gent
Buckley
Garrett
Markanday
Telalovic
Leonard
Gilsenan
plus a few free transfers and (even worse) loans than we have currently.

Getting relegated runs the risk of losing Cat 1 academy status too and vastly reduces our chances of producing whartons, etc
Venkys would prefer losses reduced to lowish single figure millions and the opportunity to asset strip raising up to £50m including the Wharton fee. They can then sit back and forget all about the football club for several years. Kicking the can down the road has always been their modus operandi.

Is JDT becoming the convenient fall guy for another relegation that some running the club would be quite comfortable with ?
Could literally fill the squad with academy kids and loans then and the wage bill would be rock bottom, Riverside shut, training ground let go. Reduction in income but massive reduction in running costs and easier to produce and punt on young players for champ clubs.
Not exactly saying it's pre planned but that it might not be a huge concern because some ie Waggot and that clown in the shadows might have a plan for.
Food for thought.
This is exactly what I've thought (and written) for some time now. Slashing the wage bill (even more drastically than in the last 3 years) would reduce the loss below £10m (even without the "solidarity" Prem payment/EFL tv money) and there could be more than £10m in player sales - JRC, Hyam, Carter, Travis, Szmodics, Dolan and Gallagher . Fill up the squad with free transfers and loans. Sell the STC for the £17m it was transferred to the Venkys company. Waggott carries on and get bonuses for his fine work as undertaker.

The defending for both goals was (yet again) shambolic. Chair (not for the first time) was shown inside which is exactly what he wants to get a shot off. For the second goal - where in God's name was the marking as the scorer was allowed to advance about 5 yards with the ball before shooting.

Not a single post on this thread despite another loss to a relegation rival. You have to assume fans still aren’t worried - or do they think now it’s inevitable?
The latter for me. I look at the squad minus its only creative spark (sold) and its leading goalscorer (injured) and I don't see any chance. Might be better to go down this season and avoid another dire season in the Championship. Then again it's not likely to get any better in L1 under these disinterested and incompetent buffoons.
-
If Palace are concerned about relegation (altough a points deduction for Forest should keep them up) I would say Wharton was not a player likely to shore them up particularly away from home.

I think that's a stretch even for them - if that was the case why didn't they do it last time we went down?
I think it's more likely complete and utter incompetence.
No chance they're funding a £17m loss to get out of L1 next season . Mowbray talked them round but this time will be different particularly as the Indian Govt have upped the ante.
