  1. Oh the irony lol
  2. Starland Vocal Band - Afternoon Delight
  3. Everything But the Girl - Heaven Help Me
  4. Dead or Alive - You Spin Me 'Round (from the sublime to the ridiculous!)
  5. We could probably do a thread on the songs of Paul Weller, such is his back catalogue, but for now let's go with The Good, The Bad & The Queen - Kingdom of Doom (a song that reminds me of a night out in Darwen in the 80s)
  6. Paul Weller - Here's a New Thing
  7. Song for Guy - Elton John
  8. As we all know, Fabrice Muamba should really be dead now. Same condition. (I have a bit of insider knowledge here as I had a heart attack on the football field at the age of 38 in Glasgow and luckily I'm still telling the tale almost 15 years later)
  9. He's a lucky, lucky boy. I'm sure he won't feel like that today but believe me he is. They have found it before it had a chance to kill him on a cricket field. Hopefully he'll get the treatment and live a relatively normal life, albeit not as an elite sportsman. Get well soon lad. This lad wasn't so lucky http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-36022324
  10. Indeed. And the flip side to that was Brookline - the only time I've ever felt remotely like I did at Selhurst Park in 1989.
  11. All Tomorrow's Parties - The Velvet Underground & Nico
  12. Lol. Not sure he will ever take Jack's mantle. He could have done though, had he been a little less unlucky with injuries. I never thought I'd see a better putter than Woods but Speith looks to be......so far.
  13. It was an amazing last 9 holes and Speith's overall poor play caught up with him eventually - his miraculous putting was the only reason he was anywhere near the first page of the leaderboard, let alone several shots clear. From the TV coverage two things are crystal clear - Hazel Irvine is a brilliant anchor for the BBC, and Colin Montgomerie should be nowhere near a microphone or a camera over on Sky.
  14. The Jam - In the Street, Today
  15. I'd hate to have seen what this post looked like before you edited it TJ lol. Back on topic, I see one of the programmes that brinscall recommended above, 11.22.63, paid for a huge advertising feature in the Metro this morning. Might give it a whirl.
  16. Level 42 - Something About You
  17. The Beat - Hands Off She's Mine
  18. Boy Like a Timebomb - Noonday Underground
  19. Chuck Berry - Memphis, Tennessee
  20. Brilliant! And they are now saying it was a bleed on the skull rather than a bleed on the brain, which is also better news.
  21. Tracey Thorn - New Opened Eyes
  22. Not a row Gav, just a simple discussion about whether Morgan is fit to be captain of England. Its perfectly okay to disagree
