Didn’t allardyce basically give the bigger teams a bye against us and kept our better players for the games against the smaller teams? I’m sure I can recall some mullerings, 7 goal batterings against Man Utd, arsenal . One of my biggest criticisms of Sam
-
Hold my hands up, I wasn’t too disheartened by Allardyce’s sacking at the time. I got caught up in the new owners, ambitious haze that was going around. Thought if we were going to move forward we needed one of the new breed of foreign managers that were the craze at the time, mourinho, villas boas etc and sams football was dated and rigid. The appointment after was when it all went wrong and I’d have taken Allardyce back in a heartbeat after found out it was to be he who will not be named. What I did learn from that is to be a bit more patient and careful what I wish for. So despite this , I still strongly believe mowbrays time is up and it’s time to be more ambitious again. Hopefully venkys have also learned from past mistakes and get it right this time

Il throw a left field name out although I’m sure I have mentioned it before. paul warne. Always been impressed by him, talks well in interviews, shows passion for his team, gets his teams up for big games- play off finals, used to working with limited budgets, can find gems. team play to their strengths and a decent brand of football. reckon he could be our sean dyche. Be nice if our owners went and pinched a manager instead of sacking and waiting for the out of work cvs to come in , would show a bit of research and forward thinking . Easy way to appease fans in my book

Don’t know him but he sounds like trippier, who was the last champ rb I thought was head and shoulders above the league -
As I said in the build up, I’m numb to rovers at the moment, nothing excites me about the team currently, from manager, first team squad, potential January signings, style of play. It’s all so... meh. Run of the mill, going through the motions. Season died when dack got busted. Mowbray is nothing, not inspiring or tactically astute. I am just struggling to get into it at all. Sounds like today was a reflection of my feelings. Need a change, the fans need a change

Nope other than it’s very quiet on the transfer front, can see a couple of loans to buy and that will be our lot. More outgoings than incomings , none of which I’m greatly sad to lose with either loss of talent through age or never had talents leaving -

Money plus Dom samuel for Ivan Toney- a player I have long made pleas for. Not a rumour btw just wishful thinking -
The sad truth? I almost don’t care. Promotion is miles off, mowbray is still in charge, no players I’m particularly fond of without dack, no new faces before the game I imagine, it’s going through the motions
-
Why I believe this poster to be one I listen to more than any other, will call a spade a spade and not be blinded just because they are a Rover. Absolutely respect that
-
You want some past facts, mowbray goes on horrendous defeat sequences, relegation when we had a chance to save ourselves, second when we had a chance to win the league, spunking money up the wall on transfers not to mention wages on the likes of whittingham, not strengthening defence when it’s obvious it needs to be, awful style of football, players out of position, not developing younger players. And quite frankly brereton. that enough history and facts for you? Absolutely insane poster , move on your boring me now
-
You can leave off with the I’m scared of who they would appoint and records in league one, we have heard it and quite honestly nobody cares anymore, we are looking to the future, you can remain in the past
-
Stop living in fear, you make this same point over and over again, it’s tiresome and annoying
-
Think your a troll , your def on your own anyway
-
So the keeper we all knew isn’t good enough turns out that he isn’t good enough. Mowbray masterclass. Been advocating his removal since halfway through league one, has bumbled his way through his entire time here, enough is enough

Doesn’t thrill me, we already have a attacking mid German who is a lot more established, can we not just get him to speed. If we are to replace dack then I’d want somebody a bit better than that -
All the best to your laddie in the game, need to have a strong core to be a keeper, you pretty much get pelters and blame from the off, not to mention organising defence
-
And yea on walton, I think I’m pretty much done, I get that it’s a hard position, often thankless and for that I can forgo some mistakes, what I can’t tho is he gives me palpitations every match, I just never have confidence in him, and for a keeper that’s a bad trait. Next please
-
Inevitably they go hand in hand eventually , can’t continue to grind out results like we were hence the reason we fall off a cliff when time comes and we pick up a few knocks/ tiredness. It was job done in league 1, it was nothing to be over enamoured with, we shouldn’t have been there in the first place
-
How often were we convincing? We had by far the best player in the league and squad. IMO we should’ve won the league. The league was ever weaker than it is now , it’s amateur level. Btw how did our marquee signing whittingham go that year? Think your sticking your head in the sand a bit if you can’t see blame on our playing style to mowbrays tactics and signings. We are awful to watch and support. Any run of wins is inevitably followed by defeats, it’s absolutely painful to support the club at the moment. Mowbray isn’t a guy I can get behind, there is no plan in place. The sticking players out of position is criminal
-
Mashed potatoes your argument that we wouldn’t get any better manager in Is both annoying and ruled by fear. Exactly the type of ‘it will do, just accept it’ attitude that has got us to where we are in the first place. I will always want bigger and better for this club, to mr mowbray has done nothing for the squad or playing style since he got here. We couldn’t even dominate or over power teams in league one. Gets a free ride from so many for so little
