  1. Talking of goal-scoring leftbacks, a certain Roberto Carlos was a master at it. That John Arne Riise fellow used to bang a few in as well if i remember. Still, fully agree that goal-scoring should be the last thing on a full backs mind.

Just looked Carlos up on Wiki actually, according to them he scored 65 goals from 575 appearances.

Surely in a happy marriage, there would be no need for porn or at least couples would be watching porn together.

As for the 'private browsing mode'. IFollow sign-up is the only site ever to flag this up and I've been on at least 1.4million so far (and over half of those weren't porn), it all seems a bit sinister :P

Me and mine happily watch it together but perhaps this is going a bit far now...:)

Yep I agree - have never heard of that before. Was just answering the original question about what private browsing was.

West Brom might have sent him out to get experience in a better u23 team

Quite possible - everything is all back to front. A top academy team and a first team in League 1. He will find it hard to dislodge what we already have their though as Hardcastle, Tomlinson and the rest are doing a great job.

Fair enough, but lots on here keep saying that Downing was an MK dons reserve as their only reference point to his entire career. It is a very lazy and disingenuous thing to do.

You keep saying people running players into the ground. Nothing has been personal against any players - just the transfer in general. We knew throughout the entire transfer window that we needed a CB, in true typical style we leave it to the last minute, lose out on our number one and two targets and desperately take number 3. Now on paper, this lad was happily released from a team who are expected to finish below us. You have to admit that this might lead to people not believing its a good transfer. Nobody is slating the guy and are hoping he proves us all wrong. Time will tell but a good start so far.

No, plenty of powder puffs on here who don't like having their views questioned when they are wrong.

Plenty of windup merchants that think people have gone into hiding just a few minutes after the final whistle. There was no need for it so early on. Just like with my opinion with Smallwood, I can hold up my hands and admit i was wrong. The new lad was in a winning team against a poor Rochdale and by all accounts did what was asked of him - a good start. Keep it up and I will change my opinion. He was still the 3rd choice to come in and nobody was attacking him as a player, just the transfer.

And we are wrong after one game?

If people are running players into the ground before seeing them actually play, they shouldn't go into hiding when the player plays well. Simple point, no point scoring.

On the same logic then - should the WBA kid not be the superstar here that you're saying he is going to be, we can come out and start on you? Its opinions BDS and everyone has them, there is just no point in saying 'I told you so", its quite childish actually.

Additionally, just a few minutes after the whistle and people have gone into hiding? Come on, at least give people time to post and hold their hands up and give their opinions and praise.

If you read the posts instead of skimming, you would see there was no point scoring.

I'm not going to get into a two and throw on it as there was enough of that in the other thread that I did read and not skim. I read your original post and it came across as pointscoring when all the previous posts had been positive and happy posts from everyone else. Yours was a dig at people and seems to be designed to get a reaction.

Anyway, as I said, not going to go round and round on it as its been done done before.

Two Point scorers? Who the other?

I give my opinion on the player. Thats all. Plus ask Dunnfc whether his opinion has change? Simple question

BDS who has been running around point scoring just minutes after the final whistle. Anyway, ill hold my hands up and say ive been very impressed with Smallwood which on the face of it was an underwhelming signing. By the same token ive been very disappointed with Whittingham who came here with a good reputation - football is a funny old game!

Could you see Lowe scoring a goal like the opener yesterday ? He' d get a nose bleed going so far up the pitch.

TBF the ONE solidarity goal he did score for us - was a belter.

On a side note - look at the two usual point scorers coming out in force. I've spoken to you about your point-scoring in the past Chaddy - seems you still cannot help yourself.

"Sorry, but you cannot sign in or register using private browsing mode. Please switch off private browsing and then try again".

I don't even know what private browsing mode even is. This is the first time I've ever seen this message on any site anywhere.

Private mode is incognito on Chrome...all other browsers have their own name for it. Its basically where no history will be recorded on your computer. Most use it to hide watching porn from their wives :P

OK so you say the youngsters at our academy have a standard contract where a new contract offer is tabled if they hit 5 starts or 10 sub appearances.

And, Scott Wharton has made 4 starts for us so far. Two in the league and two in the cup. So the rumors of him not being played because it triggers a new contract could actually be true.

Might be on to something there

It's a bit of an important season to be bedding in so many, I can understand the league experience argument, but you don't get that experience without a chance! Overall, I probably agree and can see why some (including myself) get frustrated seeing us sign Harper, Hart and Downing, when we've already got Tomlinson, Doyle and Wharton. At least Hart is of a decent age and on a permanent transfer.

With Nyambe, Lenihan and Raya still very green, another 2/3 young players in the starting 11, which could be bullied in this league.

I dont think many of us saying to bed all of them at once and besides - we've signed other youngsters of a similar age for the first team and they will playing a part wont they? So its okay to bed in other teams youngsters but not our own.

  13. Back on topic,

If I knew my career would last 20 years max but i'd be extremely well paid for it, i'd be as prudent as I possibly could or invest it by buying a chit ton of property or something. I know he aint really skint, but you do hear about many footballers going broke once they retire.
