Unfortunately I think your a little too optimistic in your assessment on a few of these, I for one would let Evans go to get new wages in. Don’t think he justifies his hefty pay packet

He has been playing better of late but you have to wonder whether his contract coming to an end is part of the reason. If it is then he will likely revert to type by only playing well before N' Ireland squads are announced. I too think his wages could be spent better elsewhere tbh.

I eventually voted twist - I owe you an apology Mr Mowbray, an unbelievable turnaround from a man who is good to the core

Always desperately wanted him to succeed but I was concerned

I will also throw my hat into the ring here and say that I am absolutely delighted to have been proven wrong. Our early blip and what it might mean for the club led me to twist...I have never in my life been happier to admit I was wrong.

Take this feel good factor into the new season! Massive congrats to TM and the team.

    Next season:

    Raya

    New rightback, Mulgrew, Lenihan, Bell

    Bennett, New midfelder

Armstrong/New attacking player,  Dack, Chapman/New attacking player

    Graham/ New striker

keep: Williams, Smallwood, Leutwiler,  Nyambe, Travis, Samuel,

sell: Caddis, Downing, Evans, Whittingham, Gladwin,

    release: Conway

Get Adam Armstrong and Harry Chapman and some players with Champ Experince. Would not mind Omar Beckles and Jack Marriott from League one.

Ogogo wouldnt be a bad shout either, the main man for the Shrews and his injury has coincided with their massive drop in form. Nolan from them and Beckles look pretty good too. Fear for them in the playoffs now and despite deserving to get up, I dont think they will.

Think Marriot would cost too much, were they not turning down 8 million bids from the Championship in January?

Wigan fans singing who the @#/? is Bradley Dack

Well he is the league 1 player of the year ye stupid @#/?s

They acting like winning League 1 is the PL title or something. Promotion is all that matters, what order it is in I could give a flying fck.

All true. That said in chaddy's defence whilst you can't ever completely discount the possibility of a Club coming in and offering way more than you think one of your players is actually worth, the bit of feedback I've had is that we have no intention whatsoever of selling Dack.

The issue is in the way chaddy puts it - 'Dack is not for sale at any price'

Didnt know Chaddy was the owner or manager. All players have a price where the owners and/or manager will sell. Even if they say they have no intention to sell, a stupid bid comes in and things change.

The thing with Dack is he is a phenomenal finisher. This season isn't a fluke. He rarely misses. Mowbray said earlier in the season he was the best finisher at the club and with someone like Graham here that's not a bad accolade. I think Dack could score in any league.

20 goals for a No.10 who didn't start playing until October is pretty incredible going.

Those deep runs he makes combined with lethal finishing is what make him a special player.

  7. Wolves are managing it by bringing in players worth $15 mil upwards that are of real quality. Players that will likely move on for bigger fees. We did it by bringing in Edinho, Bruno Mars at RB, another fullback whose name I cannot bring myself to type, a million pound teenager now playing non-league and two past it mercenary CMs that couldnt (or wouldnt) even move their legs.

The ones with actual potential we let go for peanuts in King and Rochina while the rest bled us dry as we tumbled down the leagues.

Would he be saying all this if he hadn’t just been relegated? Not sure but it’s an interesting perspective.

Nicky Butt on U23 and academy football.

A roundabout way of saying his u23s are crap but he does make a few fair points. The true talents, the likes of Owens, Rooneys, Giggs, Rashfords, Ronaldos of this world and our very own Duff, the talent was obvious from the get go and were around the first teams in their teens or very early 20's at the latest. I can kind of agree that if you are a bitolder than that and still not in contention, there is not much chance of it happening. There will be obvious exceptions of course but those United u23s have nothing more than hoping for a lower league club now and looking to try and develop through game time.

Makes me think about our lot though, Utd are obvious a massive club so getting in would be tough anyway. We are a League 1 side and we must have some approaching the age now where it is not going to be happening for some of them.

Tyrone when we removed Samuel and put Armstrong there vs Bradford the game completely changed. Granted we were all over them throughout but we looked like we could score every time we got the ball for the brief spell he lead the line.

I could see him, Graham and Dack being a powerful front 3. The only issue being is that all 3 players are narrow so unless you have top full backs bombing on all the time it becomes a bit too congested.

Armstrong is good enough to play up front on his own but I think playing him with a Graham type player, who will hold the ball up and find his runs from deep, is where his real potency lies. I think Mowbray sees that too as it's exactly the way he's been playing even when out wide. He comes inside and makes that terrifying diagonal run across that every centre back hates. If we can maintain the quality passes from Dack and Graham then I'm sure, even from a wider position, he'll continue to score goals for Rovers.

As for Newcastle - @#/? em. Their loss is our gain. Signing Armstrong next season is an absolute must in my opinion. Not only has he scored goals for fun since coming to us he's scored goals for fun every time he's played under Mogga.

Its a no-brainer, he enjoys playing for Mogga and does well for him. He will be here next season one way or another (unless Toon go down)

Adam loves Mogga ...has total respect for him and I'd reckon he'll be at Rovers next season on a season long loan at the very least playing in an attacking and ambitious team unlike his spells at Barnsley and Bolton. Personally I don't think he's going to get his chance to lead the line in a toon top.Hed be better staying with Mowbray and proving all the doubters wrong .

Get tired of hearing Newcastle fans saying ...he's found his level in league 1.Utter bollocks he's 21 years old. He's a natural born goalscorer!!

He seems to be relishing the narrow role behind Graham and the attacking football that Mowbray likes to play. At Bolton I assume he was pushed out too wide and he did not like that role. This guys pace and finishing is top class and if he can adapt to this role further as he is now - he might still have a Toon career yet. Prove he can cut it in the Championship with us next season (if we make it) and there is just one more league to master. I really think he could do it in the championship - he has the qualities at least.

Would he get in a "World" squad of 18?

I think he would. Based on current (last 12 months) form.

This is how I determine 'World Class' tbh...would they get into a World XI

There are not many strikers you would pick ahead of him right now other than perhaps Suarez. Depending ont he formation he would either be partnering Suarez or on the bench. So as of right now - probably world class in my book. Needs to show it for England though.

It defies logic. They wouldn't give a penny in the January 2017 transfer window to help save us from relegation. 12 months later we're in L1 they have opened the taps up.

The club will need another £20m AT LEAST if they want us to be top half of the Championship (if we go up!). Fingers crossed!

20 million - not a chance lol. When they first came in they gave us a budget of 5 million and thought that would be enough to fire us into Europe.

Chapman injury apparently not the same as his initial injury....this time it is a hamstring injury but another part of his hamstring more muscular not tendon which if is the case it’s good news....fingers crossed for the lad

That is certainly good news if true - he should just write off this season now and get himself properly ready for the next one.
