Its easy being the attacking outlet, but Nyambe has to do both sides of the game, Dolan did neither ( i love the lad and he was out of position, but it just shows a WB needs more than attacking flair). I think some people forget that fullbacks are meant to defen primarily?

There's some morons on here that literally slag off Nyambe for his forward play. There's two sides to a wing back and the dude puts in a hell of a lot of work. As you can see, a typical winger/forward gets completely owned and taken out of the game (at league 1 level). it's not just about attacking prowess, you have to know how to defend - first and foremost! All you Nyambe haters, hope you get what you wish for - a WB that destabilizes our defence.

You could make Jason Lowe look good on a highlights reel (ok, maybe not). While it is great that you see the 'good' bits, they rarely show the 'bad' bits. Looks a beast in the way he is built, similar in a way to Nyambe. Although he is shorter than Nyambe too and i never thought Nyambe was particularly tall. As others have mentioned, He does look rash and some of those tackles would get him in trouble over here. Think gets 1 red a season on average? I can barely think of Nyambe ever getting booked let alone sent off. His game time at Hertha also worries me a little. If people are saying Nyambe is not cut out for the PL, then this guy is obviously not cut out for the top level in Germany (which is not as strong as the PL) if he's being binned off to a Championship club. Of course, you can only judge when they are in the shirt which is what I will do (if he even signs) but I'm not convinced this guy is going to be a big upgrade on what we already have. He will cost a fee, and probably be on bigger wages. Why not just cough up the extra for Nyambe and save all that expense instead? Id be happy if Nyambe stays and we get this guy at the same time - that would actually be sensible. We get to have a look at this guy before Nyambe walks in the summer.

That's definitely a statement signing. He is exactly what they have been missing.

Has his final ball ability held us back in terms of scoring? Or have his defensive strengths helped us to how many clean sheets in the last 7 games? We don't have a problem scoring and we're tough to score against. He is a big part of both.

Those saying Nyambe couldnt cut it in the PL are the same as those saying the same thing about Raya. The latter has done very well there and its a shame he has picked up this injury. I think Nyambe would make a very able (stand-in to begin with) defensive fullback in the PL.

I would make a few changes but not go overboard with a ton of kids coming in. I'd give starts to the likes of Ayala, Carter, Davenport, Gallagher, Dolan, and Edun.

Similar to Trippier, not sure this is the best direction for them signing up names on one last big contract. Then again, no young and hungry player is going there when there is a chance they playing Championship football next season.
