  1. This is easy for me to say as I no longer have a season ticket and don’t go to many games atm but the next two games are at home and both will be televised. Perfect opportunity for a boycott. Don’t go to home games until Elliott Jackson is allowed back. I know it won’t happen but still, empty stands on Sky will get us talked about and keep the pressure on
  2. We would have lost today with Pears . Look how Toth not only made the saves but got the ball away out of danger, compare it to how Hulls keeper makes the save before Cantwell scores. Toth was excellent today, one area where we have massively improved this season.
  3. Yea, defeated by Rovers, wouldn’t that be sweet, always thought yesterday would be decided by one goal, we just came out the wrong side of it. Fleming could have put his chance wide, Baker could have scored. Personally thought we matched them all over the pitch.
  4. Maybe there’ll be some rich Americans watching on Monday who might fancy following in the footsteps of Ryan + Rob

  6. Exactly, arrange the deals, arrange the contracts, all these premier league loans, all these players we’ve brought into the academy that have been nowhere near the first team squad, some have been here for years, don’t think transfer fees matter to them tbh
  7. Correct, the plan would be harder in the prem as the academy lads wouldn’t get the minutes to progress, in league 1 they wouldn’t get the value, so tread water in the championship forever + stay under the radar. You’d think we would have made the playoffs at least once under Venky’s. Every time we get close we cut back when a bit of investment could get us over the line.
  8. We’re being run as an academy club. First team results are less important than player development, promotion has never been the aim under this lot. It’s all about finding young promising players and making them better. No point having a player like Travis on the bench, might as well have him playing somewhere else so he’s in the shop window. Seems highly suspicious to me that we’ve suddenly got a raft of players fit mid January especially Gallagher just when we get a bid in for him. JDT had a look of someone yesterday who is having his team ripped out from under him. Think getting rid of him would be pointless, they’ll only appoint someone to play the exact same way. Remember the quote from Mowbray, “I’m not a results based coach, I’m a development coach.” Think this is why they’ve taken the coach away from recruitment, JDT is powerless to prevent player sales. Who is setting the agenda tho, this is the question, who benefits from all the player trading, all along the academy funding has been the one constant throughout Venky’s tenure. Can’t get money for a new pitch, stadium maintenance or a young centre half though. I don’t buy that this is the best way to progress the club, sell a player + re invest like Brentford, not what’s happening + I don’t buy the Indian authorities investigation meaning we have to cut the the budget in half either. JDT, Waggott, + GB have all been hired to fit in with the plan. This might all be complete tosh, I’m not ITK, just a fan for over 50 years who’s sick of it + just wants his club back 😢 Venky’s out.
  9. Storm Garrett is on it’s way
  10. Sun’s just come out here in West Lancs 🌞
  11. I was on the Wimbledon game in 85, was a shocking night, torrential rain + we were 5-0 down from the 1st leg if my memory is correct, think we won 2-1 🤔
  12. Always thought “encore une fois” by sash would be a good walk out tune
  13. In 1978, Southport were thrown out despite not finishing bottom ( That was Rochdale) Wigan replaced them who had Bobby Charlton on the board at the time who pulled in some votes from his mates at the football league. Was a disgrace , Port have never got close to getting back in . Main reason was they built a new main stand costing around £70,000 which nearly bankrupted them .
  14. We’ve decided to give this a miss under current circumstances, season ticket holders but health more important than footy , considering we missed Brentford, QPR + Hull, + haven’t witnessed a victory since Barnsley could be a blessing.
