If it is Kipre I’ll be amazed, just seems too good to be true, which isn’t normally the route rovers go down. Interestingly Sharpe tweeted last night about his frustrations with twitter accounts that just make up rumours. Not sure if that relates to any rovers rumours or not.

Morgan Gibbs-White is an unreal signing for Swansea. Will be one of the best midfielders in the league I reckon.

Happy to hear that Mulgrew is leaving, been a great servant to the club but we just cannot afford to keep him, especially as he never plays. In terms of Williams I actually feel like he’s a very good squad player to have, he’s a decent back up centre half and can do a job at left back, however if the fee is decent then I could understand why we would let him go, heard that there’s interest from MLS. Seems that there is genuine interest in Kipre, we may just struggle with the fee unfortunately, one to keep an eye on maybe. Glad to hear that we’re actually focusing our finances on our backline for a change.

The fact that Sharpe hasn’t disregarded this leads me to believe that there might be a something in it. In terms of Schmidt, he seems to be giving the signals that he is on his way. Can’t say I know much about him or what kind of player he is. Glad to see that things are finally moving! Makes this thread a lot less depressing

I don’t want to get ahead of myself over this Kipre rumour as I can’t personally see him coming to us. My Wigan mate believed that he’d be off to the prem this summer. Really good player at this level.

I’d personally be happy with Lindsay. I know he hasn’t had a great season at stoke but he was really highly rated at Barnsley, and the fact that’s he left footed does offer some defensive balance. He also wouldn’t be the only quality player to struggle at stoke so wouldn’t read to much into that.

As much as the signing of a striker, such as Hoffman would be exciting, it would also be infuriating. We clearly do not have large sums of money available to us this summer, so anything substantial that we do have needs to be invested in a GK LB CB and maybe even a winger. Striker is probably the position which needs the least investment in our entire squad.

IMO Armstrong will be worth 20 million next season, which is why selling him for 10 this summer would be a massive mistake. His 16 goal tally this season was impressive, especially when you consider he played the majority of the season out wide, missed a high amount of ‘easy’ chances and was only really on form in the 2nd half of the season. If he was to lead the line for us, hit the ground running from the start and put away even a small % of the easier chances he tends to miss (which I believe he will get better at with experience) then he will easily be worth 20m next summer, maybe even more when you consider that Watkins is being valued at 25m.

I’m taking you’ve heard something extremely positive to state this, as I can’t see that happening in a million years. Though would be very pleased if it happened.

This rumoured signing feels a tad underwhelming but in truth I feel like that might be a theme with any foreign signings we make, as we won’t know much about them. Signing any player from abroad who isn’t proven at this level is abit of a gamble but it’s become clear that to find quality at a decent price and wages it’s a gamble we must take. We must have faith in the European scouting network that has been developed over the last couple of seasons.

I’m personally hoping that Brentford go up, as I believe if they stay down this year they will walk the league next season, thus making it harder for us to challenge for promotion. Though I don’t really expect us to be challenging.

While I agree those positions are a priority, along with a centre back, I think we are in desperate need for natural wingers with pace
