  1. Went to both Swansea and yesterday and while it was only a point from 6 the qualties of determination and resilience  shine through. I can’t comment on formations etc but the one thing I can say you never leave games without feeling a sense of pride in the of the team for the effort and desire they put in. Yesterday was tremendous  and better teams Under those circumstances have capitulated but not ours. They are a pleasure to watch and be associated with and long may it last.

  2. Lambert is quickly becoming a journey man.Left us because of issues not sure what they where. Not good enough for wolves. Just maybe he is not as good has he thinks he is. Will he have the release clause in this one to ensure they match his personal expectations. To big for his boots is this one( according to yoda).

Poor manager in my opinion who is packed full of excuses.Good luck to Ipswich

No hatred for him at all. However, completely destroying a kid's knee in a reserve match is disgraceful, and the impact the injury has had on that person's life is incredibly sad.

All for what? So Marker could feel hard? Not sure how anyone can defend him in this instance?

Tackles go in injuries happen. Marker was a genuine player. United and Ferguson at the time only complained about what happened to them.

He is probably 1 of 100s of sporting injuries. Believe it or not football is a contact sport and injuries happen.

I know for a fact if our players aren’t getting stuck in then I feel their not trying. He got injured united complained what’s new. It’s mans game apparently.

Nothing wrong with marker or marker type players. If united don’t want player to get injured don’t play them.

We've adapted well enough, but there's certainly room for improvement. We're not getting smashed out of sight with regularity and by and large I think we're doing fine so far.

I don't think think that we'll go down, but I also don't think we've any danger of getting in the play-offs either. Mid-table is about where I think we'll finish and to be honest, for a promoted team, if that happens, we can't really grumble with that.

I agree mid table is a more tha acceptable assumption but this league is unbelievable inconsistent in the results it produces. Rotherham beat derby who look excellent against us. Boro lose against Norwich who have been poor. Couple that with questionable referring decisions on a regular basis and it is not beyond the realms of possibility that with a little sprinkling of fortune a play off place is achievable.

This however can be applied to most of the division and has you said mid table is more likely.

Bit of a strange one really as possession wise we were 'outplayed' though for all their endeavour Derby didn't really create much did they? . . .I can't really remember them having a decent chance really - one tonked over the bar from long range and a free kick from way out hitting the bar, . Everything else seemed well blocked/defended. I'd say Dack's chance was far better than anything they had.

One thing of note again is that we were simply appalling from set pieces. These are the kind of games you can even nick if you 'do an England 2018 WC job'.

After out season so far, I'm not quite sure whether to think we should be pleased that we are normally 'hard to beat' or go the other way and think that we find it too difficult to win and are already drawing too many.

That final paragraph is a great overall analysis and just about sums everything up. No extra needed

You entitled to your opinion. But you didn’t actually say if you watched the game or not.

That’s about as poor as we’ve played under Mowbray. It wasn’t a professional “shut up shop” performance. We gave the ball away regularly and have been saved from what on balance probably deserved a 2-0 Derby victory. Possibly 2-1 with Dack missing the kind of chance he normally eats for breakfast.

Still, it’s a point in an away fixture that would have been a 1-pointer target. Mowbray got his team selection wrong tonight and we didn’t look our usual selves.

Overall, we can go on about who’s opinion is right but we have to be glad of a point. Certainly we will be happier than Derby after that.

Sorry Stuart I wouldn’t give opinion without observation. So yes I watched the game. However the great thing about football and this board is we can watch the same thing and see it differently. However the one thing we all agree on what a great point and I’d have taken that whichever way we got it.

We’ve been battered and just can’t keep the ball. Woodwork, last minute blocks and poor finishing have saved us. So far.

Dack could have nicked it but it would have been smash and grab.

You are just so wrong. I apologise if that appears critical but sometimes you have to do the dirty bits and just accept it. There will never be a game where the opposition doesn’t have chances but none of tonight has been back to the walls hang on stuff. Mine is an opinion but the word I would use is professional

  8. I’m not sure what the point of this Dack criticism is. I go to work and do my job. I finish work and relax. He’s not in the squad for today for whatever reason and therefore he’s not in work ergo he can relax.

I suggest the day your work colleagues or others( supporters) start to tell you what you can and can’t do in your own time is the day you move on.

In particular and hypocritically the criticism is levelled from people on the internet commenting on football rather than preparing in a professional manner for work tomorrow.

If you spend what we have spent in the last 6 seasons, then suddenly spend 6-8million on one player, then the expectation is naturally big. There is no getting away from that.

He has to perform and he has to be a success if venkys are going to continue backing the gaffer

I don’t feel and nor do you that you can place the failings of a flawed regime and its resurrection on the back of a 19 year old. Mowbray if a judgement is made will be assessed on the whole rather than its parts.Brereton is just a cog and one that Mowbray obviously feels fits.

From past form Venkys won’t know he exists. They have squandered 130 million for god sake. They let Keane run and run. He resigned!!!!

Forget the transfer figure because they will. We are on the up and if Brereton fits the game plan then he’s cheap. How much is promotion worth these days a lot more than 6 million.

In my opinion and I tend to be wrong more than right I think we may be going for it with Mowbray attempting to temper expectations.

  10. On the subject of Brereton and the negotiations. I think we can all agree that this is a live one and due to its protracted length all sides involved want a deal to be made. Do Forest want to sell yes. Will the player come yes. I feel that we are reaching the end game with this one there’s only so much you can ask for and only so much ground that can be given. Will it happen my guess is yes because in reality all parties want it and it’s not become a bidding war which I think is what forest where waiting for.

A lot of people talking about a potential for making money when we sale a player we may sign. Surely the last thing you should be thinking about when signing a player is we may be able to sale him and make a few million in a couple of years.

I agree but we’ve got that accustomed to buying players that can’t play, have a bad attitude and cost us a fortune to get rid of ( best, Murphy, orr). It makes a refreshing change to imagine a signing that makes us money by actually being good at football and wanting to play.
