  1. If I do that I can claim it's a work trip ... hmm there's a plan Free factory tours all round??
  2. I've told you before Flopsy, they don't want to stop with you!
  3. I'm going with Lee though I don't know any details. I'm leaving it all to him Talk about the blind leading the blind blind drunk leading the blind! Last time I got lost in Dublin trying to find my hotel I strangely enought ended up at the Guinness factory. It was calling to me! Still couldn't get a taxi, they are rarer than rockinghorse poop
  4. For those of you who haven't yet got a ticket, don't forget that there are no tickets on sale on the day of the game. RB, define "a few" thanks Lee
  5. There were two ticket sales segments: First week, tickets were on sale to Season Ticket Holders. After that, tickets went on sale to non season ticket holders who have a history of buying tickets from the club prior to the UEFA Cup draw. Ticket Information Page So Baz, all those friends of yours have had more than a week to be able to buy tickets for this game. thanks Lee
  6. 3 people in the queue outside the ticket office this morning! Less of a stress though - Season ticket holders are guaranteed their seats if they book by next thursday. People will come down when they have 5 minutes to spare, or just ring the ticket office. Yeah I know, I just thought the comparison was amusing
  7. 3 people in the queue outside the ticket office this morning!
  8. Why this obsession with who or who doesn't sort out ticket allocations? I expect (I wasn't there, it aint my job) that arrangements for the Celtic home and away games will have been discussed at management meetings. I don't know who was in the party that went up to Celtic Park.
  9. The delay was from the other club involved.
  10. Blame Celtic for the delay in the announcement. As for the Season ticket thing, well it was posted on here, and on a similar thread on the official messageboard.
  11. It always amuses me how a steward would know the ins and outs of the football club. John Newsham is quite correct, and he of course would know because he liases with Celtic on all matters relating to safety for fans. 5% thats all we were ever offered. I only know the facts because I'm one of the 'public faces' of Blackburn Rovers, and was shown details by Tom Finn the morning all announcements were made. cheers Lee
  12. Glenn: drop us a text and i'll come outside for a chat SteB: love the Keith Lard reference, but I've no idea who you are talking about although everyone in front of me will find that very amusing when I tell them tomorrow. Baz: putting references to 'fans making a few quid' will do no Rovers fans any favours, it will hamper any future ticket allocations - home and away.
  13. If you purchased your tickets from the club, then you are fine, there'll be a record of you travelling there.
  14. Details for the home leg now released: See here
  15. no question at all, Celtic have the Darwen End and if they sell out thats if, which is why the game will never go on open sale.
  16. Lee if you're still on the board what is the procedure for the home leg? Tickets do not go on sale until just seven days before the game apparently. 1) Is there any priority for season ticket holders? 2) Do they then go on open sale to Rovers Fans. 3) Are the rumours about Celtic having an extra option in addition to the Darwen End true? I'd love to know where all these rumours come from! Details for the home leg are announced tomorrow, with the intention that they will go on sale next Thursday, which is the normal three weeks before the game. And as per norm: Priority to season ticket holders, followed by Rovers fans who fulfill whatever criteria is next (I don't work in the ticket office and I don't have that information to hand) They won't go on open sale thats for sure. Celtic to NOT have any more options if they sell their allocation.
  17. Season ticket holders who go to AWAY games! There's about 500 who go to all games! And you all couldn't be further from the truth about the 'phone calls' between Rovers and Celtic
  18. they are already mentioned in the press release! Tickets go on sale to them Monday morning.
  19. For those season ticket holders who went to Sofia, if you hand in your postal applications for the Celtic game on Saturday, you'll be guaranteed a ticket - Tom Finn.
  20. Right now, the club haven't received the tickets from Celtic. Hope they get here for Monday!
  21. bloody big post in the way apparently.
  22. There were 400 fans who bought Sofia tickets from the club, and I'm sure those hardy souls will be the first people in the queue again, it is their nature.
  23. We'd have another Man City situation on our hands if the club did anything like you suggest Paul. But you are always welcome to ask to have a meeting with John Williams to explain your views, he often sees fans down at the ground.
  24. erm, when have Rovers taken 3000 away fans to a game recently?? The simple fact of the matter, yes FACT, is that Celtic only offered Rovers that figure, they'd have loved to have given us less, but they were duty bound by the UEFA rules to give us 5% and that is what we have got. The club would have loved to have got a larger allocation, but Celtic, as is their right, didn't want to give it. As for the home fixture, the club would like nothing more than to give Celtic the minimum 5% (1500) for this game, but lets face it, we do not sell out our home games. thanks Lee Ok, we might not sell out the tickets, but chances are people will be disappointed. I accept that there is very little Rovers could to about the allocation at celtic BUT Rovers have taken absolutely ZERO steps to take into account Season ticket holders who travel to away games, but have also given a chance to those who went to sofia who don't have season tickets. Non S-T holders can still buy top tenner tickets etc during the season, whilst we've paid full price. This charter that Rovers seem to use when convienient is supposed to say that season ticket holders always have priority. Do you not think that those season ticket holders who travel to all games are the first people in the queues when tickets go on sale? You know full well that the regulars will be down there first thing Monday getting their tickets.
