  1. John Pittard was the other guy giving me updates from Schorndorf. and wait till I tell my mate Pato that people think he's playing for Rovers! The youngster from Stockport hasn't gone over, methinks Jordan has been on the poppenbrau a little too much! ta Lee
  2. Not when Andy Neild is one of the people giving me the updates!
  3. Second half is underway, Matt Jansen, Vratislav Gresko, Steven Reid and Garry Flitcroft on, they've replaced Short, Tugay, Emerton and Dickov. On 66 minutes Matt Jansen has made it 5-0 to Rovers.
  4. and I'm on the blower to the other two Rovers fans out there
  5. Just been informed that in fact the tickets are on sale AT STOCKPORT, not Rovers, so basically it is pay on the door.
  6. indeed it did, and if PremiumTV hadn't had their system down half the friggin morning, it would have been deleted much sooner than it was!
  7. !!!!DATE CHANGE!!!! The game is now on Saturday August 7th at 7.45pm Which is why it hasn't been on the Official Site My post on the messageboard did say "to be confirmed"
  8. no official or unofficial news. Don't expect any news unless we break all records, its not exactly newsworthy otherwise
  9. Rovers take the p155, are they going to give us the full details the day before or somethin lol. ive ended up having to pay £100 for Germany flights before it went up any more! Hi Ben, Would you prefer it if we did what Birmingham have done and suggest that they might be playing X,Y or Z in order to drum up trade for their £800 official trip? (X,Y,Z being Hertha, Stuttgart and Kaiserslautern, and it isn't likely that they'll be playing any of them) I think the fans would be mightily ###### off if the club did that. And even more ###### off if we did a travel club and charged £600 more than what the fans are able to get it for by doing it themseles. As you know Ben (I assume your the same guy who's emailed me a couple of times), we are waiting details from the company that is organising the event. But considering they are steering it all towards a Rovers v Birmingham final in Ulm (23rd July 8.30pm local time), you can be sure that the other teams in the mini tournament won't be household names. In fact most of them won't be household names in their own regions! As soon as we get the details, I'll put it on the site, and on this and the official messageboard. Cheers Lee
  10. alas no, the deal wasn't completed until late last night, and none of us speak Spanish!
  11. alas no, they've got some bloody superstar called Vicente in that position
  12. I talked to my counterpart at Birmingham City about this last week. I don't think the two competitions are connected, but it could be that Birmingham are one of the teams that play in the tournament in Ulm, whilst Rovers are in Reutlingen. The winners of each then play in the game at Ulm on Fri 23rd. I've still no news on teams
  13. Sorry, should have added... 20th July - Stadion an der Kreuzeiche, Reutlingen, Germany 23th July - Donaustadium, Ulm, Germany aside from SSV Reutlingen being involved in the mini-tournament, I don't know who the other teams are thanks Lee
  14. Just posted this on the official board, thought I better post it here before you all swan off to the wrong place.... Jordan, if confronted with a sign saying Boblingen to the left and a sign saying Bopfingen to the right, take the latter one! German game dates are 17th, 20th and 23rd of July, but we're still awaiting confirmation of the teams for the tournament on 20th/23rd ta Lee Actually, I've also found a Bobingen too on a map too. 17th July Rovers v TV Bopfingen 1861 EV at the Jahnstadion. KO 7pm
  15. Lee Grooby plays in goals thesedays, so its a little tough to compare, but thanks for the votes nevertheless!
  16. Erm ..... All of them ? Seriously, when we played St.Pats, you could find Blue and White shirts in just about every pub in Temple Bar. And you could see a Blue, White and Brown shirt watching the game! Aint that right Glenn?
  17. ah, the old North Star, I stopped there last time Rovers were in Dublin. it's in the red light district, and has a bizarre arrangement where the ground floor is upstairs and the first floor is downstairs. It is close to the bus station and one of the main railway stations is across the road, it begins with a C, can't remember its name right now. Enjoy!
  18. After speaking to Bray, it looks like the Rovers ticket office will be getting hold of a hundred or so, more on this early next week.
  19. I'm using my priority club points and stopping at the Holiday Inn on Pearce Street, just down from the Temple Bar area. £39 pp based on a twin room
  20. Anything by Tony Hawks (not the skateboarder), Round Ireland with a Fridge, Playing the Moldovans at Tennis, One Hit Wonderland, all great stuff. Are you Dave Gorman? By Dave Gorman Anything by Bill Bryson Anything by Ian Rankin The Beach is a good read, better than the film.
