  1. Thought Ayala had looked immense. Bell decent.
  2. We’re just luring them into an incredibly well disguised trap.
  3. Willing to be patient, really believe this is going to be one of the toughest fixtures this season.
  4. Push Buckley a bit further up and find him with the ball. Push Evans out the door.
  5. Wouldn’t be surprised if some of today’s positivity is reigned in a little with this game. Forest have a good squad and a very good manager. Title decider? ?
  6. I know hardly anything about most other championship teams so I would have to say we have the best squad BY FAR.
  7. I expect them all to play their part with this year's schedule. Would certainly rather have it this way than looking too thin! This is where the team spirit and good attitudes come into play also.
  8. That's a cracking squad then.
  9. Can we get someone to take Evans off our hands in the next 30 mins?
  10. Don't think we've spent much at all - just shifted the wages around very smartly. Great window... ...so far
  11. Not a bad day's work so far.
  12. Same again please Baz.
  13. You just had to didn't you!
  14. Big, wet, sloppy, kiss of death if I ever saw one. That mental image is hilarious ?
  15. Best thing about this is the talk about us being "direct promotion rivals" all over twitter. Nice to hear at long last!
  16. Aye yeah acknowledged earlier. Read “Murdoch” as a proxy for “media conglomerate that is fast becoming a completely redundant leech”
  17. SOMEONE still owns it and creams the money off the top when modern tech and consumer habits just don’t justify it. I don’t really care if you’re happy with what you get for what you pay, I’m calling for a £10-15 p/m service where you’ll get it all. You love and defend the status quo so much pal I reckon you’ve got a Rick Parfitt tattoo.
  18. Murdoch or not, the point still stands. You seem to have a penchant for being ripped off and exploited Chads so you do you. But the point is I feel that the PL are working an outdated model and they could be earning even more and improve access for the public exponentially.
  19. Sure it is for a lot of people yeah, but you only get to see the games they decide. Again, it’s not really about that but the scope and direction. I just don’t understand the logic of giving Murdoch a massive chunk of the cash and control. The PL must know it has an insanely valuable product. So why do they wait for varying bids for people to cream off the top? In an outdated model that restricts growth? £9.99 p/m paid directly to the PL for unlimited viewing access would absolutely explode.
  20. For me, the worst thing about this PPV proposal isn’t just the price point Easy to justify £15 per game in terms of market value/cost of physical tickets etc But it’s the lack of any foresight or vision to create a true on-demand subscription service for fans of individual football clubs. There’s so many untapped millions of illegal streamers that could’ve been tempted by a solid, future-proofed proposition. Netflix has proved that a gargantuan film industry can survive and thrive by taking just a little bit of money monthly from a truly ginormous amount of people. Now was the time to be brave, and to make PL football affordable for the millions... It’s just myopic, protectionist greed.
  21. The pure “winger” is a dying breed - the preference in the modern game for “wide forwards” that cut inside a la Robben and are the second striker when the ball is on the other flank has been around for a while. I just don’t think they train young players to be that touch line hugging, goal line crossing winger anymore. Much more likely to find a striker who can put a shift in and press with decent technique out there now over someone who will stay wide and whip in ball after ball. I assume the statistics on how effective that type of player actually is in practice must back it up?
  22. Did well to wrench the game back, good spirit and confidence, Get the best out of TAA and Henderson and we’ll go far - they’re the two most consistent and quality performers we have. 4-3-3 Copy Liverpool, push up, press, attack, Alexander-Arnold is one of the few world class players we have, but he ain’t a wing back.
  23. Yeah he’s had a few highlight moments but Pickford worries the shit out of everyone nowadays @chaddyrovers, including his defence. Get Raya in ?
  24. Absolutely this at international level. Southgate has earned a go at another tournament, but he needs to be braver. Similar to Rovers - we’ve got a plethora of quick, skilful attackers that trouble anyone we play. Set up on the front foot, press, attack. Sit back against this kind of quality and the defence just can’t handle it. Picking the system and then picking the players to suit is understandable in the “rebuild” that Southgate was tasked with. But at some point you have to switch to getting the best out of the best players - otherwise you get square pegs, round holes, and give too much respect to the opposition, letting them dominate. We’ve seen it at Ewood.
  25. I’d be embarrassed if Amarii Bell made that tackle. Ridiculous from Dier.
