  1. Instead, if he came out with "We'll just try our best and see where we end up" I'm sure that the reaction would be calm and measured.
  2. Red button tonight
  3. It's early days yet. This time last season PNE were 2nd. Let's just calm down and take it game by game till new year (unless we win a few and I'll be on here proclaiming HMS Piss the League etc)
  4. I reckon someone like Celina would've been and gone and wouldn't have got us up anyway. By luck or judgement, Brereton has matured at the right time with the rest of the squad. I don't see it as egg on anyone's face to have thought he was a dud, he didn't exactly pull any trees up. So let's just all enjoy this cracking young player we have and lump on for him to score tonight.
  5. Half joke. You're allowed to watch games of other teams FYI We didn’t sign him on a dare
  6. I’m a big, big, happy clapper on the TM and BB front and even I think that theory is a bit silly. If anything though - spending 6m on a “ready made player” back then to go into a squad that hadn’t been built properly yet and wasn’t near ready to challenge for a couple of years may have been the bigger waste of money - instead spending it on one of the most highly rated youngsters in the country to mature as we did. Again, all hindsight though. Not my fault none of you can recognise a footballer ?
  7. I think they did. Corry managed 3 minutes.
  8. Unfortunately, there is an element of truth in that - but I think it says more about the nobheads giving him stick at games rather than the 19 year-old moving to a new club with the weight of expectation on him.
  9. Disagree. Would love to play them atm
  10. Yeah but you don’t know how much he hears and how that affects him, so not sure we can say in-person abuse isn’t relevant. Hopefully turned the corner psychologically now more than anything else - he’s always had the potential.
  11. I’ve literally been in away ends with people screaming how shit he is pitch side. At a 19 year old. Of course it’s not rife, but it does happen and has happened so let’s not pretend otherwise.
  12. There'd be an argument for Wharton and Williams being our best centre-back pairing this season so far.
  13. We will be talking about his price tag. On his day he can flat out bully Championship teams... he can create and score goals. Strong, athletic, fast and can run all day. A 21 year old English player like that? It’s a bargain.
  14. Gets even better. I hear we are signing that Lewis Travis and superstar Bradley Dack to help with the new year push.
  15. Goal for Breo and an assist each for our hairy wide princes love it
  16. Brereton involved in everything today. What a man.
  17. Just so everyone is prepared - you do know they will equalise in the next ten mins right?
  18. Good half. Impressed by Wharton and front 3 lively. Great to have Holtby back keeping this ticking over. Absolutely dominating... so I expect a draw.
  19. Gally nailed on to score again tonight, I can feel it. He had a good game at theirs last season as I recall.
  20. Typical post two week break sluggish game. We took a bit to get going. Didn’t play too bad nor too well. Ref could’ve cost us some points. Meh.
  21. We need a serious talk about our medical/physio department.
  22. I think Lenihan has been very poor this season. Williams has been far better and is still a little underrated by many. Ayala & Williams at the back would be better on current form (and if Ayala is actually the player we're told he is and have seen in flashes)
  23. Can't say I've seen enough of Ayala to include him in that, although agree with the first four. Tough, but maybe Johnson at the moment?
