  1. Rich Sharpe thinks we tried for Brad Smith in January but ended up going to Cardiff so could have legs
  2. Northampton Town We are pleased to announce the signing of goalkeeper Jonathan Mitchell on a season-long loan from Derby County. Welcome to the Cobblers, Jonathan! Northampton sign keeper. Could be sign Cornell about to move on
  3. So do I. I was just talking about comparing them as a midfield pairing, and I would have Johnson over the other 2.
  4. No, having watched all 4 players I would much rather have Travis and Johnson than the other 2. Why, do you disagree? Don't need stats to tell me that
  5. Who said "there are lies, damn lies and statistics"? Prefer to believe what I see with my own eyes tbh.
  6. Just a thought, but both Wharton and Goode played in a defence which played with a back 3, with Wharton on the left of the 3. Just wondering how difficult it is to adapt to playing in a back 4 from a back 3?
  7. I'll check out any goal against Burnley!
  8. Wasn't aware we were being asked to sign up for anything yet. The last I heard was in the Telegraph a couple of days ago when no decision had been made. All I know is I will be signing up when it is made, this is my club and its worth more than a few quid in my back pocket., especially in the current climate.
  9. Think you're right, certainly everybody I spoke to wasn't interested in a refund.
  10. Have to agree, saw him play the one league game against Wigan (I think), and he didn't win a header all game. Also didn't have a great time on loan at Rochdale I gather
  11. Being linked with Jordan Jones again https://www.google.com/url?sa=t&source=web&rct=j&url=https://www.dailyrecord.co.uk/sport/football/football-transfer-news/jordan-jones-set-rangers-exit-22444903.amp&ved=2ahUKEwjuyq6ag_fqAhUoURUIHUJvApoQFjAXegQIAxAB&usg=AOvVaw3Ic7VhImjMJoq4Pksa1D8v&ampcf=1

  13. http://c.newsnow.co.uk/A/1041109054?-11198:839 Defenders on way!!
  14. Not according to Shearers comments in a TV program with Gary Neville. Said the cruciate injury had no effect on his style of play at all, felt as good as ever. It was an achilles injury later in his career he reckons made him change the way he played with Newcastle
  15. Shearer missed half of his first season with Blackburn through injury after snapping his right anterior cruciate ligament in a match against Leeds United in December 1992, but scored 16 goals in the 21 games in which he did feature.[9] Didn't do too bad for us after that!
  16. No thanks. As I've said a few times on here, goalkeeping standards in my opinion are at rock bottom at the moment and have been for the last 5 years or so. God knows who we will end up with, but as long as he can do a cruyff turn in his own 6 yard box and spray 60 yard balls out to the wing, that seems to be the criteria these days
  17. Have to say that in my time of watching football, the standard of goalkeeping has never been worse. Every game I watch seems to have a howler or two, and I am convinced it is due to the way managers now want keepers to be better with their feet than their hands. Just keep the ball out of the bloody net! Oh for big Brad.
  18. Bit off topic I know but did anyone have issues with I follow again? Don't know if it was just me but the picture was really poor and juddery nearly all game.
  19. Ryan Lowe at Plymouth. Up and coming young manager, already had promotions with Bury and Plymouth on a shoestring. Other than that why not give Jonty a go? Obviously highly rated at club and Country. Did a great job with u 23s
  20. Never heard so much tosh in all my life. If you think we can get hold of 2 new keepers in the summer that will be better than Walton you're in cloud cuckoo land. Every week there are goalkeepers making horrendous errors, including Pickford (supposedly the best keeper in England,) De Gea and Lloris to name a few. The Leeds keeper has supposedly been to blame for many of their recent goals and Raya has been badly at fault in the last 2 games. Cameron Dawson, a keeper we were interested in made a horrendous error at the weekend and then there was Hulls keeper for the 3rd goal last night. I would take Walton any day of the week if we could afford him
  21. Anybody still wished we'd signed Maddison? ?
  22. Rovers didn't recall Mulgrew, he chose to come back himself even though he wouldn't get game time. As for the others, they were touted around but you can't make other clubs buy them
  23. Celtic after Atsu according to SSN
