  1. Only cos I'm working tonight and had a hospital appointment at six, save me going home for an hour or so to come back to Truro later, cheaper to go flicks and kill 3 hours than use a tenners worth of diesel ?
  2. Kick off soon and only 4 pages, shows the interest on here! I, on the other hand am sat outside the cinema waiting to see the new Tarrantino film.
  3. Hope still for Bury, 3 new bidders?
  4. The Undertones - Jimmy Jimmy
  5. Limahl - The Never Ending Story
  6. Tupac Shakur - Picture Me Rollin'
  7. Brilliant result but Aussies lost it by "wasting" their last review. Shame ????????
  8. Ocean Colour Scene - The Day We Caught The Train
  9. Nine Inch Nails - Hurt
  10. Nights rest and a new ball, think the Aussies will have to much for us unfortunately. Hoping not though.
  11. I got a Majority branded one for the telly, decent, just over £40
  12. The Clash - Train In Vain
  13. Clean sheets are a good start, just need to score a few now ?
  14. Ian Dury and The Blockheads - Billericay Dickie
  15. Stereophonics - Local Boy In The Photograph
  16. Van Morrison - All Work and No Play
  17. Just to add ? I'm now going to walk the dogs round to my local pub, which is a "Destination Food House" and despite a recent refurb, good reputation and decent Trip Advisor feedback, it is empty for 5 months of the year except for weekends. People's habits have changed, going to the pub is not the number 1 on many people's choice of entertainment. Sure my beer will be very good at £3.80 for local cask beer. Foster's is £4.20 and San Miguel is £4.85 not many people could afford to drink every night.
  18. Generalisation. The costs of running a quality establishment are phenomenal and the margins low with many other businesses after a slice of the cake. You can get a beer in the coffee shops in town nowadays.
  19. They're all closing mate, good and bad, I came out of the trade 4 years ago after 25 years. Hard game at the moment for so many reasons. There's always gonna be some busy places because of location etc but these will be the exception rather than the rule. Sad to say but the traditional British pub is on the endangered list.
  20. There's pubs and there's pubs though, fortunately they are not all like that but the choice of quality places is getting smaller.
  21. I was born at Queen's park and spent the first 3 years of my life living in the shop on the corner across the road!
  22. Would never have guessed that!
