  1. Just get in someone to manage that has a passion for the club. That would get the fans back excited, too. It’s amazing what might happen, if someone gets in that earnestly loves the shirt.
  2. I hope all of you predicting his ousting are right. But I’m afraid we’re stuck with him the rest of the season. I can’t see the owners spending anymore than they have to right now.
  3. Not til the end of the season.
  4. It’s not a comparison, it’s just that everybody gets pounded. If Rovers come out ready vs ShefU & we win, or if we lose, we all still want Mowbray canned. Moving right along, there’s nothing left to say about this mess that hasn’t been said 1,000 times.
  5. Yes, it’s bad. But if it’s any consolation, even Liverpool and ManU have a game like this every year. Take our lumps, come out ready to face ShefU on Saturday.
  6. I guess it’s ok to start SheffU thread now…
  7. As I said, I’m a lifelong Cowboy fan, so I know I’m in for the big letdown, but it’s nice to dream…
  8. I gotta say this: Good things come in 3’s, right? The Atlanta Braves won their first WS last night since 1995 (yes, I’m a Braves fan); Cowboys last won the SB in ‘95 (yes, I’m a Cowboys fan, born & reared in Big D); All of us Rovers know our history. Y’all tell me It’s happening…. 😁
  9. Missing three experienced backs (2 starters), I would take 1-1 right now vs Fulham.
  10. I always look forward to games vs the in form clubs, they give us a good idea where we are, and the progress (or lack thereof) we’re making. I was always a Cairney fan, and hated to see him leave, but I’m glad he had his chance in PL, like so many others- Hanley, Rhodes, Raya, Duffy, Arma, et. al. I am looking for a great defensive effort from our side, which would be to hold them to one goal. A little bit of luck & a well timed assist, and 1-1 is attainable. COYB!
  11. Nerve-wracking finish. Thank goodness, all 3
  12. Keep pressing ‘em, we can get another goal in the 2nd half.
  13. Great start, if we’ve learned anything, we need more
  14. I would love it, to beat fightin Rooneyites by any score, 2-0 would be bliss. With our back 4, however, I’m afraid they will find the back of the net early & often.
  15. Yeah, I fear a game with lots of “shotgunning” by our guys, kick it in the general vicinity of the goal, and hope some go in.
  16. Absolutely. Hes not going anywhere until seasons end, that’s when his contract runs out. Todays game day thread would’ve been one page, if not for the obvious, “Mowbray out”, “sack mowbray” comments. Why our fans cannot enjoy a win over a quality opponent for about 5 minutes, is beyond me.
  17. Best game of the season? We made the most of our possessions, and the defending was stellar. Great game by Edun. I will take it!
  18. Indeed! He’s getting more opportunities, he’s getting more goals. Definitely not a “useless lump”
  19. Other than Khadra off the bench, I’m not sure I want to see any of those guys. One of the weakest bunch of subs, ever.
  20. I can’t say anything that has not already been said 1000 times. There isn’t any joy on game days, the team is going nowhere, because TM is going nowhere. The owners are penny-pinching, strangling every last cent out of their investment. If BB-D is dealt, don’t expect any of that to be spent on incoming talent. I truly believed last year nothing would happen during the season, but TM would certainly be canned by seasons end. He was not. Sadly, I cannot see a change during this season, either. I’ve resigned myself to a finish somewhere between 15th and 18th. 1-2.
  21. Scott Dann scored for Reading today, but they go down 2-3 to Blackpool. Jerry Yates with a brace. Two guys I wouldn’t mind having at Rovers. I bet Royals are ready for us this weekend.
  22. Nothing ever makes sense, one game to the next. The one quality Rovers had this season, was the scoring of B-D (& sometimes Gally), but yesterday we weren’t close to finding the net, against the 2nd worst defending team in the division. The next game, we are apt to get 4 or 5 goals, allowing the same amount, then the next we get skunked again, etc. Managers can’t explain it, yet it happens, nonetheless. Our managers forte is supposed to be organization- does anybody out there honestly believe Mowbray is a great organizer!? Is the roster better than the manager? Yes, but the quality is not that deep, the bench even less. When the manager isn’t a “difference maker”, we cannot truly expect the players to pick up the slack. All that said, Reading is back from the dead… I expect a good pummeling courtesy of Royals at Ewood on Saturday.
  23. Really a ho-hummer today, from Rovers point of view. Worthy of a good yawn. Nothing truly to get excited about.
