Bah. whats to offer for next season

Buckley & Davenport on... should we expect something?
-
We have 63% possession... someone tell me how Tony thinks this is an asset when we have 4 shots to their 9, 1 on target to their 4. It makes no sense.
-
Tony always wants us to win possession, we’re not even doing that. Grrr

I watched the clip on Millwall Hooliganism. I don’t think there is any way here in U.S. they could segregate crowds like y’all do. There are still some ugly episodes that takes place. who has the worst crowds today- I’ve read Forest, WHU, & of course Millwall. Everybody can have a few rotten fans.

Yeah, 99, I think you are right. Gallagher knows he needs a big game, and he should give his best efforts. He’s got talent, he just needs to show it. Davenport is getting lots of love; maybe he feels he has a lot to prove. We will see.

Meanwhile, at Wycombe, Ainsworth achieved promotion. First time ever to the Championship. Lots of folks thought it could never be done. Kudos to him. Going back to Millwall/Rovers, for some reason, I expect an avalanche of goals. Last team with the ball wins. Rovers, 4; Lions, 3.

I tend to agree with you. Our oldest son-in-law makes a Guinness Stout that is very enjoyable, at about twice the alcohol percentage, I have to watch out. Most Americans equate it to drinking molasses! when we were in Reading in September for Rovers vs Reading game, I had a pint of Proper Job IPA at Sweeney & Todd’s. It was fairly enjoyable.

My BD is March 7; my granny was March 14! Still an important day to me. It takes me three weeks to finish a six-pack. Some of that is being 58, some of that is it’s just not as enjoyable as it once was. But, during the pandemic I’ve had a chance to try lots of different beers- local-made, IPA, Mexican (Dos Equis, Modelo) bocks, lagers, etc. I still like Shiner, and Ziegen, both are Texas bocks. Strangely enough, I keep going back to Pabst. Good, solid American beer, cheaper than most. It comes in pints, too!

A lot of people on this board get frustrated when we lose- I know I do. But It’s unfair to say those fans, “want Rovers to lose.” Also, we can disagree on Mowbray staying or getting sacked, and still be fans of the club. But no matter what side of Mowbray you’re on, nobody can say the man doesn’t care if he loses. I had to say that. Having said it, the point won today was one of the hardest earned and most deserved point won of the season. Very proud of the manager, staff, and players.

we have equaled last seasons wins & ties. Most of it without Dack. The difficulty, 5/11 of our starters probably won’t be with Rovers next year. Let’s hope we can hang onto our young nucleus, and maybe pickup a couple of freebies to plug in key places.

Hardest fought for & won point of the year. Scrappy, determined play. No complaints from me.

I can’t believe DG played the whole way
-
Glad I posted our bench can’t compete with theirs ?
-
Rothwell!!!
-
We just don’t have a bench to compete with the likes of Robson-Kanu etc
-
Our subs, benno, Sam & Holtby

Another game I have to wonder if Mowbray’s first comment at halftime is, “we’re winning possession.” From a competitive standpoint, if we get a tie today, I would be amazed. This is a good baggies side.

Bah

Everything falling out way, just need to take care of business
-
Let’s go, lads...!

Kudos to Mowbray. We will see if the same 11 get the same result.

Bilić shows what can happen when you get a top-drawer manager. Whenever Rovers make a change, imitate our own history. When Rovers had success, no pussyfooting around, it was because of strong managers (Dalglish, Souness, Hughes).
-
I expect to see the same team. impossible to predict the outcome, so I won’t even try. Eliminate errors, on the pitch & the touchline, improve finishing, It gives us a chance to win. That is all.

Re: Wharton, and it’s the last I will say about him... Guys can only get better with experience. He’s been good enough at the lower leagues, and he can play the position. Even Kane & Vardy played on loanout at places like Leyton Orient & Fleetwood. Ian Rush started at Chester City. Not saying Wharton is their equal; just saying that’s how players improve, by getting playing time. Wharton is still just 22, with 80 games under his belt. He probably will not ever be a star at a high level; At least he’s not wasting his time on the bench. He has two appearances in a Rovers shirt. Give him a runout and see what happens. He’s definitely more valuable to the future of Rovers football than Bennett.
