I love the lineup today, I think even the most discerning of our fans can approve of what Tony has done juggling the roster.

I think it’s a bit premature for dire predictions. Watford is a top side, anyway, we already knew that. We got everything we said we needed, and none of them have even played yet. If these last four additions don’t help, I will be right with some of you, asking for bigger changes, but let’s wait and see if they make a difference... at least until Boxing Day. That’s only two months and some change. We can wait that long to demand heads roll.

I like this, but I am also somewhat sympathetic to Bell. He’s playing awfully well, maybe start him, and give Douglas a half. JR-C I might pencil in, & give Trybull a runout in the 2nd half. If guys are doing well, leave ‘em alone, & change at 66’. I still like Dolan, but I would bring him off the bench in this one. I will optimistically say 1-1. I was worried about this fixture when they dropped down from PL.

I disagree. The upgrades we got yesterday will put most of these 4 on the pine. There is no way Liverpool let Elliott out on loan, for us not to play him regularly. Trybull & Douglas are playing for their future, since they are out of contract next summer. it will be sorted out.

I can’t believe some of what I read here sometimes. No Dack, Bennett, Travis, Holtby, JR-C, or Williams. None of our 4 new players made the 18. We lose on a plucky shot, at 90’. we can’t catastrophize after this one game. C’mon.

Bell has been one of our most consistent defenders. Maybe not right away, but he will be subbed out in the first game, Douglas will win the job.

Yep, competition never hurt anybody. Rovers have definitely upped their game. The pressure now is on one person- Mowbray.

That’s a pretty fair 11...even with the long list of absentees. No guarantees on another clean-sheet, but defensively, that doesn’t look too bad.

I know I predicted a win earlier; but our new additions won’t be in the squad tomorrow, and we are looking pretty thin in midfield (Travis also out). I guess I would gladly take a point, and hope for better days soon. You can’t always get what you want. And, I got everything I wanted today (& more!)

This is all true. I understand the situation; but there was really no gain in standing a pat hand. We all know the disappointments of the last 10 years, I think many of us simply don’t want to get excited, for fear of suffering yet another disappointment. I’ve got to be excited right now. These moves help us. We’re at least moving in the right direction. if we win, the future takes care of itself. At this moment, I don’t want to think about the alternative.
