  1. Thanks, good explanation. Here’s our goal-scorers the past 9: Armstrong, 3; Rothwell, 2; Gallagher, Dack & Buckley, 1 each.
  2. A bit of a change of subject here... Rovers were leading the Championship in goals scored; but in the past 9, Rovers have scored 8 goals. We’ve expected a leaky defence the whole time, but we’ve only allowed 8 goals in those same 9. Thoughts?
  3. I’m for it, if we find an innovator, bright & fresh, hopefully young enough to have some energy, but mature enough to have some wisdom. We’re not going to find that guy right now. I will say it again, let Mowbray coach out the rest of the season... we might win enough to be top-6, but if we don’t, I think we’ve been patient enough, and can move on without him. Again: Is there anyone here who wants to throw a basketful of money at Benitez? He’s succeeded at every level, including, getting magpies promoted back up to PL.
  4. You are Absolutely correct... if there were EFL rules since Dallas’ three Super Bowl wins ‘92-‘95, they would’ve been relegated once or twice. In short, Cowboys are a joke, just another NFL team now. Nothing special, but they give Stephen A. Smith something to laugh about on ESPN on Monday mornings. But that’s the curse of this blind loyalty to the shirt. Some refer to it mildly, as, “being a fan”. We’re stuck with it 😉
  5. I understand football. I’ve followed the Dallas Cowboys for 50+ years, and the head coach/manager role is essentially the same in either sport. The Rovers’ owners are more clueless than Jerry Jones, but not by much. They rely on others to feed them information about the state of affairs at the club, because I doubt they’ve been to a game in years. But, the difference is in the money; Rovers don’t get anywhere near the money an NFL franchise does. So, hire/fire becomes much more of a delicate business. I wouldn’t be surprised if Lambert or Coyle is still being paid. I get it that about 98% of the posters here aren’t happy with Mowbray- I’m not thrilled myself. but, is that a good enough reason to sack a guy who could be Championship manager of the month, to hire another coyle to put us back in League 1? I stand by my earlier statement: Give TM the rest of the season. We’re not going to hire Superman right now- who do y’all want- Is it Benitez? Because frankly, unless it is, there is nobody out there available right now that would come with more cred & awards that would be worth getting.
  6. This is 100% spot on. For those who say, “it can’t get worse than TM”, oh, yes it can.
  7. Get in, Arma! We were fortunate to get that call. Official feel sorry for us?
  8. Given their current state of affairs, Elliott could be as good scoring goals as Mane & Firmino have lately. Atrocious.
  9. The thing I dont understand, Elliott really needs rest? He played 6 days ago. whatever... Gally had better be good
  10. I will wait until that happens... and only then admit I was wrong. 2-1, good guys. it’s the hope that kills you 😆
  11. Tony could play the same 11 today that thrashed them 3-0 at Deepdale on November 24, minus Wharton. Add Dacky & Travis to the squad since then, & they’ve lost Davies. I like our chances.
  12. I’m not seeing square pegs in round holes in the future. Good health (& hopefully sanity) is being restored, & new players getting acclimated (particularly defenders) so we should start seeing players in proper positions. Also... hopefully Dolan gets some game time this week. If not a start, perhaps he comes in at 66’ with some fresh legs & creativity. COYB!!
  13. Good grief, 7 goals in 8 games... what’s happened to our scoring
  14. Playing from behind again we need Dacky
  15. Amazing he’s only 27. when I first began following Rovers, he started for us at RB.
  16. Austin already in Foul trouble, maybe he will play cautious
  17. I love it when Gally scores, it’s never expected. And, he’s scored 4 times in league play. He’s a round peg in a round hole today, oughta be fun!
  18. I’m interested to see Elliott today. Overall, his work on the pitch has been excellent, but he’s calmed down somewhat of late. He will eventually go off on somebody.
  19. I’m not seeing Bennett, Evans, et al., unless the team is gutted by injuries before tomorrow. Mowbray can pick his 11 easily, and still have a decent bench to pick from. If we’re gonna keep our current form, going on the road shouldn’t deter us. I agree with earlier poster, 1 point is to be expected, 3 shouldn’t surprise us.
