It doesn't help that there are a full adult generation of people - the oldest are potentially graduating from University this year - who literally were not even born (Souness) and have no consciousness (Hughes/Allardyce) of anything pre Steve Kean/Venkys. Stockholm syndrome. -

His heading ability must really differ depending on which side the cross comes in from. -

So wait, there *was* talk of a team wanting to pay us money for Pears, between £2m and FIVE million pounds, and there were people on here saying we shouldn't do that? Wow. He's been fine, but... WOW. This season is dead in the water. Start Toth, and use the £5m (plus any fictional budget) on the likes of Asgaard, Poku, maybe even Beck? Of course £5,000,000 x 0 is what would get reinvested. Obviously, we knew it was a bullshite link, but saying you wouldn't sell Pears for £2m+ is insanity. He's never going to be worth more than ¼ of that value ever again after this window. -

Gueye should technically get an assist for that. The post does not count as external, so the ball went directly to Andi, from his head. -

Stand further to the far post in future Pears... basically an open goal. Garbage keeper. -

Always forget how dreadful it is to watch games at Bristol City on the TV. 🤢 -

Massive 2 hours ahead. A win, and we could once again focus on a promotion push end to the window, defeat (or more injuries) and my mindset may change on who/what types of deals we should be hoping/aiming for. Talking loan vs permanent incase anyone assumes I'm being brainwashed. No point loaning a single player or singing any McFadzean, Forshaw or Fleck types if were just going to sink to midtable. All funds (lol) should be on the Poku and Asgaard type players who can be assets for the future. -

Stoke 2.0 Long balls, Long Throws and Corners... Big Frank Lampard. Coventry ShirtPull FC getting exactly what they want here...Their #29 has literally got away with 4 shirt pulls that half. Unreal shit ref, without any real disaster decisions. Not sure what subs I'd make, as I literally don't trust any of the 9 subs to make a positive difference. Maybe the CM can show some urgency and we go forwards more often?? -

Portsmouth fans are outstanding for what it's worth. Making more noise consistently than Burnley, Leeds and Sunderland did, and literally haven't stopped. Annoying chants, sure, but fair play to them. Also applauded the Wild Rover too. Good club. -

The very next game after a "Home Sellout" and this is looking like one of the more disastrous attendances of the past decade. Resemblance of a 1st Round League Cup tie vs a L2 team (with 12 mins till KO). YES, I know it's rearranged; a night game just after Xmas; expensive ticket prices; foggy/"cold"; road issues on the M65; and - of course - the Venkys... but damn. -
I don't mean this disrespectfully or aggressively, but as a genuine question - as members of the Venky's family seem fully dug in to our club. Who would have to retire, step down - or die - from the family, for Venkys to realistically sell the club - who is the family member(s) that's clinging on and preventing a sale. I can't see them passing us down to their children to inherit many years from now. Like I said, not a "Let's Kill Venky's" post, more of a what would it actually take for them to sell us at a loss - as a Championship team.

McFadzean, Garrett, O'Riordan, Leonard, Gilsenan, Sigurdsson, Tyjon should all be moved on (majority loans) this month. I personally like and have hopes for Siggy, but it's not going to happen here. The current loans are Beck, Sanderson, Cozier-Duberry... meaning we have 2 more "squad" loans left - they need to be the ambition of a Brereton-Diaz or Luis Suarez (lol), and not 2 more teenage projects. Striker and Winger of QUALITY, and we could be cooking! -

Thought we'd signed NFL Hall of Famer Dion Sanders. He's probably fitter than half the squad and would be able to catch more crosses than Pears. -

Not read back 51 pages, but my main thoughts. 1) Lost a 0-0 game 0-1, again. Feels like Burnley (at Ewood) is that exact game every time now. They manage to bundle a win out of the jaws of drawing. 2) The referee completely bottled a clear as they come 2nd yellow for Laurent, and in all truth the official bottled the entire 2nd half (including the time wasting)... though Rovers were never scoring, not even in 10 minutes of added time. 3) Shout out to the 10,000-12,000 or so additional Rovers supporters today, great atmosphere and support - what a difference it makes 🔵⚪️. Guess we'll see you all in 2 years time for the next Burnley match.
