Mate, you’re so far off the mark here. We’ve not been sat under a rock for a decade. We know why we’re in this situation….it’s really clear that Venkys mismanaged the club etc etc… So no one needs you to keep reminding us of that. What happened also has no bearing on what we do next other than learning a lesson and I’d argue that we’ve been better, navigating ffp is evidence of this. You can’t be so quick to ban people from reminding posters about wild faux pas about Whiteman, BBD, Buckley etc and then constantly remind us every time the issue of FFP raises its head that Venkys contributed heavily to that situation. We know they caused it, in fairness they’ve paid for that mistake too (to the tune of £200m+)….but in order to move forwards we must be capable of leaving what cannot be controlled in the past.

But there’s nothing we / them / anyone can do about it…so genuinely, what’s the point?

No one is saying it’s easy to do….but if there’s a team in the football league geared up to it it’s us! Cat 1 academy, loads of young players coming through, buying young players and currently joint second in the league! There will be PLENTY of people looking at our players!

I can’t believe there’s still folk questioning where the next big sale is coming from….has BBD not taught you anything? With a fair wind - Buckley, Travis, Markanday, Butterworth, Dolan, Wharton and Pickering could go for big money. Hell, if BBD can do what he is then so can Gallagher!! Regardless of whether we go up or not, we have some bloody brilliant young players in our first team squad….by the sounds of it we have some absolute crackers in our 18’s and 23’s too! Foolish to think BBD is the end of the conveyor belt!

Interesting to see if Hedges plays for Aberdeen on Tuesday night…. Huge week for the club both on and off the pitch. Hull beating Bournemouth effectively chalks off our loss. So we need a performance and resounding win on Monday night! Get Gally on the score sheet and we’re rocking again. Then it’s about bringing in a CM and two forwards before next Monday. Game on!!!

Hasn’t been our night… Poor first goal, then denied a penalty and missed a couple of good chances. Their second goal is a free kick…complete clusterfuck Mowbray at fault for changing the formation and starting Gally (Honestly don’t know what he does). It has been brewing…need a reaction now!

I think John Buckley will slot nicely into that role next season and Rothwell (should he leave) will never be spoken of again!

I’d be shocked if there isn’t a cb locked in, Markanday style….us letting Carter and Magloire out on loan now is an indicator. I’m thinking you’d, perm signing with an eye on the future.

Agreed, we should’ve scored more but I thought we lacked that cutting edge / full tilt mentality. As oppose to Birmingham where we were absolutely ruthless. I’d like us to get back to that because it saves my nerves. I’m not taking anything away from the recent heroic performances.

Great result and resilience shown. It certainly feels different…like we’re onto something. Slight concern…I make that four games now (4-0 against Birmingham) since we were in full flow in an attacking sense. Hopefully back to our best vs Hull City 🤞🏽👍🏼

Assuming Deyo and Markanday are in the bag 🤞🏽….I reckon it could be O’Riley, Healy and a CB. Letting Carter go on loan is interesting…does leave us short if we lose a couple of CB’s.

Assuming Dack comes back to anywhere near his best we have a top player in this league. Imo he was top 3 in the division before his first injury. He’s also absolutely perfect for that false 9 position that Bucko fills and once in his stride, will assist the wide forwards and score more goals drifting into the box. Buckley is now getting the plaudits that those who had a keen eye for a player, have known for years but he’s an 8 by trade. A CM who will now develop into the full package fighting Rothwell for a spot next to Travis. It’s a really nice squad shaping up now. With the addition of Deyo and from what @J*B said Markanday i am going to enjoy watching this team and see how this unfolds. Expect a CM (maybe O’riley) and. CB in the next week or so…then a cheeky Maja bid on deadline day!?

The £3m a season into our Cat A academy has been a wonderful ‘speculation’…. The alternative is to understand the risk, try to improve the squad based on the cash you can afford to spend.
